Does anybody else experience this issue? I'm using the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader (version 24.002.21005) to open and print shipping labels generated by Canada Post as PDFs which include a shipping BARCODE. On every printer I have (HP laserjet and Brother lasers) the BARCODE prints BLURRED (BLURRY)! I downloaded PDF24, and it prints the barcode just fine -- crystal clear! I discovered this when my local post-office said they can't scan my shipping labels any more because the BARCODE is BLURRY! So it's not my Windows 11 PC or Windows fonts (nothing has changed recently on those that I'm aware of), and it's not my printers, because they print the barcode crystal clear from the PDF24 application. Do I need to download and install some barcode font file from Adobe? I hope somebody from Adobe can help, because it's useless trying to contact Adobe support!
We are attempting to launch/open a .PDX file so that we are able to search PDF files with a large number of pages on a VDI desktop. On a regular desktop, the user just double clicks on the .pdx file and it launches and they are able to search without issue. On the VDI desktop when we double click on the .PDX file (or right click on the file and select "Open with Adobe Acrobat Reader") an install process is attempted (screenshot attached). It will eventually produce an error which is outlined below and also attached to this post. The error says "Error 1406: Could not write value BrowseInPlace to key \Software\Classes\Acroexch.Document.DC. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key or contact your support personnel."How is this accomplished on a Omnissa Horizon VDI desktop? Thank you.Rachel
How do I remove the "Approved" stamp from the stamp favorites list? I right-clicked on it, selected remove but it is still there and the option to remove is now gone. I'd like to make a different stamp my default stamp, which I also added to the favorites list, but it keeps making the "Approved" stamp the default.
I can select different voices (and hear different speeches), but changing the pitch, words per minute, and volume does not change the speech at all. Adobe Acrobat Pro DC v. 2019.012.20040 (latest version according to Adobe CC)macOS Catalina 10.15.7
Hello. I am using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and there is no Undo button anywhere. I went looking for it after I accidentally deleted all of the text I had spent a good amount of time typing previously! I then typed into the original box my text was in "Text deleted "I came to this forum and tried the Ctrl + Z function and it only seemed to work on the most recent edit. So, it "Undid" the typed "Text deleted". I selected Ctrl + Z again, and nothing showed up. I tried it several times.Any help please?[Adding your question to some random discussion really doesn't work][Moved from Premiere Pro video editing to the Reader forum... I know this is similar questions have been asked before, but most of the discussions are full of people echoing that they have the same problem, and Adobe employees suggesting solutions that evidently don't work for many (me included). So I wanted to check if any new solution has emerged. It scrolls in an incredibly laggy fashion irrespective of the file size and the number of tabs opened at once. My computer doesn't have the Disable new Acrobat option which has been suggested a few times. I have also tried the method of changing security settings without any improvement. I would rather not go through the entire uninstalling and reinstalling process again because I tried that and saw no change, and it was a pain. Adobe insists on running its updater in the background, all the time. Not welcome. Like other civilized software, it should optionally notify the user of an available update, and allow the user to initiate the update without maintaining an account of logging into it. I like Acrobat Reader and use it frequently. But I resent (and avoid) this intrusive behavior.
Dear Adobe Team,Since the introduction of the “New Acrobat” interface, I have noticed that when switching between tabs, the visible PDF content briefly reloads and shifts slightly. For precise layout and graphic comparisons, this behavior is problematic, as it disrupts exact visual positioning.Workaround: Using Disable New Acrobat and reverting to the classic interface prevents this behavior entirely.Suggestion: Please consider adding an option in “New Acrobat” to disable this automatic re-rendering or shifting when switching tabs, or restore the previous behavior by default. This change could benefit not only my workflow but likely other users who rely on pixel-accurate comparisons as well.Thank you very much for your attention and support.
I keep getting this alert despite already having the latest version of Adobe. I have restarted my computer multiple times, uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe, but I still get this alert. This is a screening questionnaire for a job I have applied for. Please help!
Qué hago si se me aplicó el rebajo a la tarjeta y sigue saliendo error de facturación?
The problem is back.In build 23.6.20320.0 the scroll bars disappear. My mac is set to show allways. Acrobat is set to never. The only way to show scroll bars is to launch Acrobat switch to Mac settings disable scroll bars allways and turn on again. Now the scroll bars appears in Acrobat. After a restart of Acrobat the scroll bars are disabled again.

Dear community, I have been struggling for weeks since I have the need to modify pdfs and keep the same documents updated both on my computer ( windows) and my iPad. I have several clouds ( iclouds, dropbox, google drive) that I can use after I modify the documents from the iPad. However, when I try to do it from my computer ( where I use Acrobat Reader) and I save the document in the folder of the cloud, it does not show the last modifications I did ( whereas it does it if I modify it from my iPad) I also tried to save the files on what it should be the cloud of Acrobat Reader itself, but I just don't understand how to do it. Maybe I need to pass to the premium version? Thanks a lot in advance, Antonio
I am using Adobe Reader on my Android phone running Android 11. I receive email messages from companies with attachments that are folio PDF files. Adobe Reader on my Android phone (and I believe the Reader I have on Windows 10) will not read those files. The message is "file cannot be opened) Any suggestions?
I have two OneDrive folders on my laptop: one for my personal account and one for my university account. Whenever I open a PDF file from my university OneDrive or my laptop's local files, it opens completely fine, like normal. But when I try to open any PDF file from my personal OneDrive, it pops up with the message, "There was an error opening this document. Access denied." All the permissions for the files allow me to open them, and some of them are files I created. It has only started happening recently, despite having worked for a long time before this issue arose. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Acrobat, and I have signed out and back into my OneDrive, but nothing has worked. If I move the files to my university OneDrive or local files, the file can be opened, it's only when it comes directly from my personal OneDrive. I have tried opening the PDFs on a different computer, and I could access them from my personal OneDrive, so it's specifically t
I read this thread earlier today (Solved: Re: Adobe Reader 2024 classic track? - Adobe Community - 14880375) and I'm still a bit confused on what enterprise admins are expected to switch to once Acrobat Reader 2020 reaches end of life in November according to Products and technical support periods (it was June 2025, but appears to have been extended to November). There is no documentation that I've found on installing Acrobat Pro unified installer in this mysterious "reader mode" mentioned by your employees.Currently, we deploy the 2020 class track using the standalone Reader installer found here - Acrobat 2020 Release (Classic Track base release) — Acrobat-Acrobat Reader Release NotesNotice at the link above that there are separate MUI installers for both Acrobat and Reader...There now appears to be a 2024 version of the classic track available. However, it seems you've dropped the year from the branding and now it's just called "Acrobat Classic", rather than the expect
Hi,I have noticed lately that after closing all documents (⌘-w), Acrobat Reader X stays open. There is a switch in preferences for "Show home screen when all documents are closed" which I have unchecked. Now the application just stays open in the App Launcher. How do I get Acrobat X to quit when I close the last open document. I understand ⌘-q quits, but I prefer to not use that as it will close all documents. Thanks,Nachum
MVHJens-Peter Fage Madsen
Good Morning/Noon/Night All,I work in an office for their IT department and one of our users who always prints and works with PDFs is having multiple errors when printer a PDF via Adobe Reader, I cannot for the life of me find the answer or figure it out. So about a week ago I get a call from the users and they reported that whenever they print PDF Files they received 3 errors:1. Document Cannot Be Printed2. No Pages Selected to Print3. Drawing ErrorNow before I decided to take the step and just post about this error, I tried searching this under the support topics yet nothing seems to have a legitimate answer or solution that works, I tried the following and still nothing worked:Solution 1 - DID NOT WORKOpen the PDF file in any program that can save PDFs. (preferred would be Adobe Acrobat Pro) Then select File > Save As > from the menu. Now look at the dropdown menu below the world filename. Select the type PDF/A.Solution 2 - DID NOT WORKOpen the PDF file in Adobe Reader and whe
Hello, as the subject says, the dark mode or theme does not stay, I have to set it every time I start Acrobat Reader. Previoius setting does not stick. I have repaired Adobe Reader and had a complete reinstall and nothing worked so far. My sytem: Windows 10 Pro, version 22H2Adobe:Continuous Release: 2025.001.20577 | 64-bit
The latest update started to kick in to our computers on Friday and we are getting high CPU usage and 100% memory usage the moment Acrobat Reader is opened. Task manage shows the culprit is AcroCEF.exe: I have tested it with 3 accounts, Domain Admin, Domain Staff, and Local User. The Local account doesn't have any issues, it is just with the domain accounts. Antivirus isn't blocking it. Firewall isn't blocking it. Installation repair doesn't fix. Reinstall doesn't fix. We are deleting the file AcroCEF.exe which is letting Reader run for what most of our staff use, but this is not a permenant fix as an update will make it reappear. Clients are running Windows 10 21H1, Adober Reader version 2021.007.20091.
Adobe's login prompts on shared servers are a plague upon the land.Oh great lords of legacy code,Why must thy Reader summoneth pop-ups with every login? We offered you updates. We offered you silent installs.Yet still, ye demand sign-ins like tolls at the gates of hell.Smite this cursed UX with the hammer of enterprise sanity. And deliver us from Creative Cloud.
