I'm wondering if there is a way to disable the auto open/auto log n when opening my computer. I have a macbook and I don't have Adobe Reader in my dock, but frequently I will open my lap top simply to browse the web and Adobe Reader it will open and if I'm not logged in it will force me to log in before it will let me close out of it. I just want it to stay closed until I'm ready to use it...
BONJOUR Etes vous comme moi prélevé d'un montant supérieur à vos factures sans explications d'adobe ? Je ne trouve aucun numéro et aucune adresse mail pour les contacter... Je me sens escroqué..... Bien cordialement
How do I stop the attached screen popping up about every 2nd time I open or use Adobe in a day (which is a lot!). It didn't used to happen but is driving us mad in the office.Thank you
This has been happening for several weeks.I am using Windows 10 64-bit pro, with all latest updates.I have completely removed Adobe Acrobat and re-installed Adobe Acrobat DC 64-bit edition.I run the installer as administrator, and after the installation completes, the box that asks to launch Acrobat read is checked, but the application never opens.I have periodically seen the error described here:https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/failed-to-connect-to-dde-server.htmlIf I follow those instructions acrobat can be opened for a time, but then refuses to open until I perform those steps again. How can I permanently fix this?
whenever I use a free service to convert my jpg to pdf; it downsizes the image file size to half-size! It doesn't matter if I use convertio, pdf suite, or ADOBE free converter; it always downsizes my image dimensions; so I can't use it . I've had a number of techs try to tell me to check my defaults, check the online site's settings, etc; but nothing works! I have been trying to convert an image for a week now! Is this adobe's way of making us buy a paid account? If so; why would we buy something that doesn't work? I CAN'T BE THE FIRST TO ASK THIS QUESTION! raphael
Anyone else find that Reader consumes a horrid amount of RAM?Right now, with just a single, 364kb pdf open, Reader is eating up over 1GB of RAM on my Mac MBA M1. That seems excessive in the extreme, and I've seen it go higher than this the longer I leave the app open.Suggestions on how to tame this? Thanks.
I have a document to be signed, but the Sign button is grayed out (I see under Preferences that signing is not allowed). I can't print it either; it simply does not print when opened in Adobe, and when I open it in Preview, I get a message telling me the document cannot be viewed in Preview.I understand that there may be a security issue with the document, that the person who created it needs to change preferences, but that person was completely confused when I told them this. Is there anything I can do? Or are there explicit instructions that I can pass along to the creator?
Acrobat DC - We got a handful of affected users, roughly 10 users out of 1000 users reported this error message (Adobe AcroCEF has stopped working) - it appears on the screen even when they are not using App. All on the latest version simple troubleshooting steps have been taken - Resolve errors related to the AcroCEF/RdrCEF processes of Acrobat/Reader (adobe.com)Logged with Adobe as well - waiting on logs to be collected.A few things are common among all the affected users :Using Citrix to access their applicationsAll on Office2016
I have a PDF that I regularly edit a few fields then "save as" with a new name. Today I made the edits selected "save as" when I reopen the PDF the edits aren't there. The file name is the new name but none of my changes are saved. I am not getting an error messages when I do this. How can I resolve this?
As not very clear from the changelogs it seems that Acrobat DC and Reader DC are now the same product. It seems that there hasn't been any thought of RDS or shared workstation environments from Adobe. So, from potentially 200 users of which around 10 users have Acrobat DC licenses the other 190 users without a paid license now get login pop-ups and can't open PDF's anymore... How can I fix this?
I need to programatically convert PDFs to Docx as the PDFs are generated. Is there a tool I can purchase or download to do this? We have been trying to use PDFTron, but are having difficulties.I am using Windows servers
When files of the form Z@xxx.tmp appear in the folder C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Temp a Arial TrueType (CID) font appears as gibberish text in the printed output. Is this a bug in Adobe Reader? If yes, when will it be fixed?
I have Office 365 and when I click on pdf files in OneDrive it always opens in the browser but I would like it to open with the associated program instead. It works with other files, the .doc opens in Word.I have changed settings in the library to open in the client application.
Adobe acrobat downloads correctly but crashes at the end of the install with no trace. This is a fresh install of win7 pro so the system is entirely default. Only Firefox was installed first.

For years I printed any type of document from my MacBook Pro running MacOS 10.13.6 to a LaserJet 5 with parallel connection installed on a Windows XP machine used solely as a print server. Never had a single failure until an electrical storm this spring with a nearby lightning strike fried that XP machine. It was a very good machine, state of the art at the time I built it, with Tyan 2x processor MB vintage 2001. Very sad that it died. Acquired a USB to parallel cable and connected the printer to a USB port on a hub connected to my Pro. Absolutely no problem to add and share printer in MacOS as generic PCL type. Here is USB definition of that printer: MANUFACTURER:Hewlett-Packard;COMMAND SET:PJL,MLC,PCL,PCLXL;MODEL:HP LaserJet 5;CLASS:PRINTER;DESCRIPTION:Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 5 I can again print any file type from any application running in MacOS and/or Windows stuff in VirtualBox except PDF in Adobe reader. The only way I can prin
HelloI have been looking at all the suggestions for changing the author of a comment, since I too do not want my computer login name as the default.I have tried unchecking the "Always Use Login Name for Author Name".I have also tried creating a new comment and right clicking on it to display the properties box. However, where I should be able to enter the new name in the Author box, I cannot - it simply won't let me - therefore I can't click "Make Properties Default".Am I missing something? Is it something to do with allowing Admin controls? It doesn't make sense to me.I am using a MAC and version 2018.011.20038 of Acrobat Reader. Any help would be appreciated. I need to find the solution so I can submit an assignment. Thank you.
Hyperlinks embedded in shapes in my Visio process maps previously would carry over and remain functional in Adobe Acrobat Reader when I did a Save As PDF file from within Visio. This allowed me to distribute process maps for internal review without recipients having Visio licenses. Can someone please investigate if this functionality is a setting/config issue for either of the two applications? This is impacting my ability to develop and distribute critical process maps. Using MS Visio Professional 2016 and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC v21.011.20039.0
I have a client trying to create specific page links to a PDF online using "URL#page=25" . the issue is the link works on desktop and not mobile, Looking through these forums I found this issue is because of the "=" sign. Example: http://cancer.ucsf.edu/_docs/UCSFCancerCenter_ASH2018_Brochure.pdf#page=25 Works on desktop, on chrome and firefox but NOT on mobile http://cancer.ucsf.edu/_docs/UCSFCancerCenter_ASH2018_Brochure.pdf#page25 Works on mobile but NOT desktop if you dont include the "=" sign at the end both mobile browsers support this. is this a bug ? is there an alternate method to link to specific pages ?

Hi! I am working on a fillable PDF form in Acrobat Pro DC that would require an employee to fill out and sign a section, then email it to their manager to fill out a second section and sign for approval (a vacation request form). Is this possible? Currently when an employee fills out their section and sends it, the second user is not able to fill out their section or sign the document.
