I'm new to using AR for my PDF files. Got one today and found I could not edit it. I get a box asking if I have the latest download, which I have, but it won't allow basic editing. My fault obviously, but what should I do ( no sarcasm please!)
why is the tab key going backwards in acrobat reader fillable form?
Prior to version 2021.001.20138, I was able to reduce the file size of multiple files. I've been doing this for years and years. Now I can't, my only option are single files. I have Adobe Acrobat Standard DC. If you click on the drop down box next to the "Reduce File Size" button, it looks like you pressed the "Reduce File Size" Button. Anyone else have this problem or a way around this to get multiple recutions back again?I scan in 20+ items a day and use this feature extensivly. I've rebooted and checked for updates, nothing worked. Thanks --- Bob.
Hi Matt, If this is happening with a particular PDF file you may need to check with the author of the file. There is a possibility this document has some load time script which might be doing some validation check. There is no such issue reported to us.~Tariq

Has anyone seen an issue with the latest build of Adobe Reader DC and Citrix ShareFile mapped drives? I had a client report this issue today, and was able to reproduce in my lab. Have tested with various versions of Citrix Files including the latest (20.11.19), and Adobe Reader version 2021.001.20135. Opening a PDF file produces the error "There was an error opening this document. Access is denied." (see screenshot). Other files in the same drive/folder can be opened fine, and PDFs can be opened with other applications (eg Chrome) fine as well. I also tested the same build of Adobe Acrobat DC, and it does not produce this error. Reverting to an earlier build of Adobe Reader resolves the issue.

I recently opened a pdf file that came from an iPhone with a signature on it that appears to have been handwritten using a stylus. Since then, Acrobat Reader DC freezes every time I open the application. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, updated, and rebooted several times, to no avail. I am running Windows 8.1 on a PC. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi All,Since the new Prio 1 Update has been released, after opening a digitally signed pdf documentation within Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (2017) the adressbook.acrodata file is beeing set back to an earlier version.(Earlier Version of the *.acrodata file was deployed in 2018, it was implemented into base package, deployed via SCCM.)During the deplyment the new file overwrites the previous one (so far so good), but immediately after opening a digitally signed document, the old acrodata file reappeares under %appdata%/Adobe/Acrobat/2017/Security and overwrites the new one.My question is, where else is the old acrodata file stored? From where does it comes back and how can it suddenly replace the new file?Any help/suggestion/reply is highly appreciated! Thanks!
When I sign a document and want to save it, it prompts me to "save a copy". when I click "save a copy" nothing happens. It will not let me save a copy of a signed pdf? It was working 2 weeks ago now it won't. I tried unchecking "show online storage when saving files" and unchecking "enable protected mode at startup". I've also tried uninstalling than installing adobe, that didn't work either.
im using the measurement mark up tool and suddenly my screen has gone completely red as though it has been highlighted. It is now not allowing me to export measurements, make any changes or add any measurements. Help please
I am unable to open hyperlinks from within office documents to PDF files located on certain websites. The error I get within "Microsoft Office" program is :- "Unable to open https://xxxxxxx.xxxxxxxxx.xxx/docs/pl456/CofiaCauyDrws%20Mae%20hi%20noer.pdf?T=11&LLL=1. Cannot open specified file. I am able to visit the hyperlink in a browser and the PDF then Opens in Adobe Reder DC. Changing the default Association with PDF makes no difference to he behaviour in Office. If I uninstall Adobe Reader from the system and click on the link again within the Office App then the link will open and view the PDF in the browser. Re-installing Adobe Reader breaks Office/hyperlink again. Why or what would Reader possible do to effect this behaviour. With adobe installed and the default PDF association set to EDGE or another PDF viewer this behaviour of not working remains. The only fix to get the hyperlink to work directly from the office App is to uninstall Adobe Reader.
Hello,Is there anyway to change the settings in Acrobat Reader so that news articles and other documents that I read/open are not automatically saved on my computer? Thanks in advance for your help.
I have 50+ users that use Acrobat Reader DC for printing PDFs. They receive a decent number of PDFs with mixed, letter and legal, sized paper. At least 3 so far, the only ones I know who have tried at all, can no longer print mixed. The best timeline I've heard is it started 2/8, the update to v2021.001.20135 states it was planned for 2/9 but I'd be wlling to bet the user report date is wrong or the update applied on 2/8 and it's update related. Checking/unchecking "Choose paper source byPDF page size" used to work but does not any longer. They have tried printing to 3 separate printers and 2, possibly 3, separate make/models. I'm *certain* an HP LaserJet 4250 and Ricoh 6503 copier have been tried with the same results. The Acrobat Reader DC print preview shows "Document: " sees the 8.5x11" pages properly *and* 8.5x14" properly. However, right below that it only shows 8.5x11" and you see it graying otu the last 3 inches on the 8.5x14" pages. Is this a known is

If I open a pdf document directly in Adobe Reader, I can print from there. However, there are a few programs on my machine that (presumably) embed adobe reader in their software as the default reader. When I click the print logo (or CTRL+P) nothing happens. I am then forced to save the document and open with Adobe Reader. P.S. I don't know what to call the embedded adobe viewer software.
Hello. The recent February update of Adobe Reader shows the error "The Acrobat PDF browser plug-in is missing. Please reinstall Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader to fix this problem." when opening our production software which utilises PDF viewing in VB.net. The only option is for us to uninstall this new version and revert to the previous version and disable the automatic updates services. Please advise if this will be fixed in a future update? Regards, Phil Gibbons, IT Manager.
Hi All, I am getting error screen popping out on my application after the latest update of DC , I have re installed it but still facing the same Issue, Kindly help me. Thanks in Advance
Acrobat Reader inserts periods after all my editorial corrections and comments. How can I delete this automatic function?
We have tried multiple ways to install Acrobat Reader patch 2100.120.135 via SCCM, and it always failes with a 1603 error code unless a user is logged on to the PC. If a user (admin or regular user) us logged on, the patch installs with no issue. But it always failes if no user is logged on.
