Autocomplete is giving my users two headaches after the latest update. We are on version 2019.010.20064.The first issue is that autocomplete is resizing the zoom level of the document (sometimes to as small as 5%) making it impossible to see what is being typed. To fix this, I would like to disable autocomplete altogether. However, when I disable it in preferences, nothing actually changes, autocomplete still functions as normal and even continues to add data to its list!Is this a bug or is there another way to disable autocomplete? Better yet, is there a way to stop autocomplete from resizing the view of the document?Thank you!
I keep getting the error "the document could not be saved. use of non fips cryptography is not permitted while in fips mode". HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\AVGeneral\bFIPSMode is set to ( 0 ) HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\AVGeneral\bFIPSMode is set to ( 0 ) Any ideas ?
Lately, I've had to work with a few documents where highlighting text has issues. If I try to manually highlight a line, for some reason, text further up the page gets highlighted. If I type CTRL-A, the program hangs for a bit and then it looks like it's highlighting each letter one at a time. If I copy and paste this into a text editor, I get an issue with lines repeating all over the place and the document is 10x as long as it really is. If I load them in a web browser, everything works as expected. I have other PDFs where everything works as expected. I am using the latest veriosn (24.005.20307) on Windows. Does anyone have any idea what the issue might be with these particular PDF files? Thank you.
Since yesterday and all of a sudden, Adobe Reader will not open on Windows 10. I've tried running it as an administrator, I've repaired it, I've uninstalled and re-installed it - all to no avail. A white screen comes up and disappears again. Please help. Camadi
Hi everyone, I’m using Acrobat Reader on macOS, and I’ve been encountering a recurring issue. When I zoom with the trackpad or switch to another tab (another file) in full-screen mode, Acrobat Reader crashes and closes. To reopen it, I have to click on the Acrobat Reader icon in the toolbar at the bottom, where thankfully all files remain open at the last page viewed.I've tried adjusting settings, like unchecking "Smooth Display" in the Page Display settings, but it hasn’t resolved the issue. Does anyone have suggestions for how to fix this? Thanks.
Why is this error showing up every single time i open a file?Closing it or leaving it seems to have no effect on the file, but what is the fix for this every single time i open the file?

Hello,I'm encountering the following error while trying to connect my online storage Google Drive account to Adobe Acrobat:Access blocked: Adobe Acrobat is not approved by Advanced ProtectionThe Advanced Protection Program performs additional security checks to safeguard your account data, and it hasn't approved this app. This security feature stops most non-Google apps and services from accessing your data to keep your account protected. If you are a developer of Adobe Acrobat, see error details.Error 400: policy_enforcedI want to clarify that I have the Advanced Protection Program activated on my Google account, and I do not want to deactivate it.Could anyone help me resolve this issue? Is there a way to make Adobe Acrobat compatible with Google's Advanced Protection Program?Thank you!
Groeten @
I am seeing I'm not the first and apparently won't be the last who expresses disgust and mistrust with Adobe bundling McAfee with its Adobe Reader product. If there was a tick box or some way to opt out, I - like many others - did not see it. Not a good look Adobe. Creating a bad image here, and reputational damage. Now I'll be spending the next hour trying to figure out how to unistall McAfee, as it doens't want to remove itself just via the normal uninstall app page. Sigh
Hi, For some reason, my Reader starts to make me type data into (fillable) form by the yellow/orange bar in the bottom first, then it fills in to the field when I am done typing. This is very annoying for me. I've been trying to turn it off, and just let me type into the form field directly. I am using Acrobat Reader DC, version 2018.009.20044. I'm using MacOS. Could somebody help me turn this feature off? Thanks
The App can't export pdf to word, etc. While initialising the export engine an "UNKNOWN ERROR" with a prompt to click "OK" occurred. When OK is clicked, the export process is terminated. I use MacBook Pro running on mac os 15.1.1 (24B91).
Ever since updating to version 2024.5.20320 we are unable to open multiple pdf files, The first file opens fine then on trying to open a second pdf the adobe app crashes there is no error displayed but to use the app i have to end task in in task manager then I can open one pdf but when i go and try to open the second the app crashes, we have multiple users facing this issue I have tried Removing app with Acro cleaner and reinstalled app, Running program in compatibility mode didn't help. We have this one user when he opens a layered PDF makes the application crash. He is opening the app on a terminal server and he is the only affected user, all other users can open the layered file and it's this only layered file that is affected too. Reinstalling the app is out of the question and we have already tried restoring original preferences in the windows registry. Another workaround that we tried is to use the optimize tool in the Adobe app but that didn't worked still.
Hi there, First of all, happy new year to everyone ! My problem : I recently changed my PC. Have now windows 11.Since then, when I download a pdf file (for ex. : from my bank's website), it downloads well but it does not open automatically and gives me a message about the "storage strategy". Please find, enclosed, a screenshot. Note that the screenshot is in french 😊 Basically, it says that "there was an error while the document was opening due to the storage strategy. For more info, please contact your system administrator" (I'm the system admin 😒😁) Thanks a lot for the support !Fred
Recently, when I save a PDF file through a program that I have on my Windows 11, I I receive a "Cannot Display Document". See screenshot image. The program saves the file where I intended it to, but doesn't open the PDF like it used to. Then when I go to the file location to open it. The PDF file doesn't open. I have to go to Task Manager to force close the Adobe Processes. After force closing, then I am able to open the PDF file from it saved location. This work around it timeconsuming. I don't know how to fix this and I don't know why it is happening. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe. I have tried Repair Installation within the Help Menu in the Adobe program. I am using Adobe Acrobate Reader, 64-bit. Can you help resolve?
Hi everyone, help needed!I have created a PDF form for clients using Adobe Reader or standard PDF viewers. After filling out the form, I want to ensure that the inputs remain intact and uncorrupted. The goal is to save the PDF without editable fields. Is there a way for Adobe Reader users to export the PDF without retaining the editable form fields? Printing to a PDF printer isn't a viable solution since the file has a custom size.Currently, the only solution I find is only available in Acrobat (File > Save As Other > Press-Ready PDF).Thanks in advance!
Trying to use certificate with timestamp to sign PDF document fails. The TSA server is https://tsa.eparaksts.lv and it is set as default. When trying to add Timestamp it fails with error.
As stated in the title, Adobe Reader renders letter differently depending on the zoom applied to the document. In the picture, you can see how at 100%, some the E and T letter are shorter than the rest.If I zoom in this problem dissappears. The pdf in question is produced by LaTeX, and this behaviour is not present in any other PDF viewer that I've tried. It's a shame that one of the most powerful tools for typsetting documents crashes with one of the most used PDF viewers...I have attached an example pdf, I hope Adobe engineers consider solving this in the future 🙂Thanks
Good day, I’m experiencing an issue with my digital signature in Adobe—it keeps getting removed. Every now and then, I have to re-upload the signature again. Has anyone else encountered the same issue? Thank you.
Hi,I do have a PDF files that I can open properly with Microsoft Edge but when I try to open it with Adobe reader I get a blank page and show no information. This is one-page file, but a quite big one (contains architecture design).what could be the problem? how can I open it with Adobe? Thanks!
Hey everybody, I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to remove these buttons from the toolbar, the "Share a link to this file" "Send file by email" and "Share this file with others". I took a look around the community forums and did a little Google searching and didn't find much so I'm assuming no. I also took a look through the app preferences. The best I could find was collapsing the big blue Share button, but I want to remove it from the toolbar completely. What's crazy to me is that if you right-click on the toolbar you have the option to remove so many individual elements, the actually useful elements, like page navigation and editing tools, but for some reason you can't remove the sharing tools? Seems like either an oversight or poor design choice. Now this isn't ruining my life or anything, it's just a personal preference. I really want them gone. I try to keep only the tools I use in the toolbar and having extra stuff I don't need is annoying. For reference, I
Someone I know made tons of comments on PDF's over months using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC; she checked that the comments were saved (i.e., they appeared after closing/re-opening the document, many times). Today, all her comments on her files are gone. Any ideas??? PS. Version latest, 20.006.20034.
