When I use the pencil tool in Reader, I cannot draw with it; rather, it just makes dots. (When I use Acrobat, however, I am able to draw with the pencil.)How do I fix this? I'm trying to show students how to use the pencil tool, and making only dots with it isn't useful.
I am trying to download an IRS form that requires Adobe reader 8 in order to fill it out. I have installed Reader 8 but when I go back to the IRS site it still says I need to install reader8. Why am I not connecting?
Hi - I have downloaded the W-9 from the IRS website, and using the Microsoft Edge, I have entered in first and last name as Text and saved as a new PDF file. When I open using Edge (default windows PDF viewer) it shows the first name and last name as I typed them. However, whenever I open wtih Adobe Reader, those fields are both blank. Why isn't Adobe reader showing the values of those fields? thanks
I have seen similar posts like that which were then "locked" for some reason. I'm having the same issues as many other users. These are documents from over 12 years ago that people have successfully filled out and sent back to me for over 10 years. Now, they say they are security protected and require a password, but I have never placed passwords on them. They're questionnaires for clients. There's no reason to ever protect them. Should I attempt a 3rd party app that cracks the security? I really don't know what to do. For now, my workaround is just to tell people to download a copy. 😞
Hi Community, We have an issue with Adobe Reader that is running on a Terminal Server (Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Datacenter), when users open PDF's the first one opens without issue. Any subsequent PDF's take a long while to open up.We have already switched to the old interface of Adobe Reader and made changes to the security settings but the issue still persists. Adobe has also been uninstalled and re-installed on the server. Your advise in this matter is appreciated.
I have a printing issue with 11” X 14” Legal PDF documents using Adobe. The first page prints correctly, however, the second and subsequent pages print with the text starting two inches lower than it should. This cuts off the bottom two inches of the text, making the printed document un-usable. If I print the legal sized document one page at a time, it prints correctly. Also, If I print letter sized paper, this problem doesn't’ happen.Obviously, I cannot effectively print multiple paged documents one page at a time.I am using a MacBook with OS Sequoia. A Brother HL-L6200DW dual tray with the series BR-Script 3 driver for multi-sized paper. I have also downloaded the Adobe Acrobat DC. All systems and drivers are up to date.I’ve tried every single option/ combination available in the print dialog box.
How do I force the fillable text to align with the placeholder lines that I have included in InDesign for a interacitve PDF I've exported? I must be doing something simple the wrong way. It gets worse the farther I type. And adding paragraph breaks makes it even worse. I need the text to align with the baseline of the placeholder lines from InDesign. Is this even possible? Below is the comparison to how I'm setting the text field in Indesign vs. how it shows up in the form with I fill out the text field.
I to have files open without the huge navigation pane open on the left side. It's messing with previews in Solidworks PDM. This meaning I want ALL PDF files to open and NOT HAVE TO CLICK THE SMALL ARROW to hide the pane ON EVERY SINGLE DRAWING. Here are some snips. What opens like now:How we want it to look by default (without having to click on every file):Thanks in advance!
OverviewI am automating a workflow where responses from Microsoft Forms (saved to Excel) are used to populate a fillable PDF. At the end of each day, Power Automate will email the completed PDFs to recipients who will need to print and send them via snail mail.I have successfully extracted data from Excel and filled in the PDF using Python. However, the issue I’m facing is that the filled fields appear blank unless manually clicked on. Worse, when printing, the fields remain empty.Troubleshooting Steps Taken So FarExtracted form fields into an .fdf file and manually imported it into the template PDF. This correctly fills the fields, so I know that the first input of the data worked. However, manual intervention is not an option—I need full automation.Changed the font for all fields, as suggested in this post, but this did not resolve the issue.Ideal OutcomeThe PDF should be automatically filled with the extracted Excel data. The filled values should be visible immediately without clicki

Current state and version: When I click on "sign yourself" a signature is already present. I am able to use this signature as normal (it's the wrong one though). No initials are present. Adobe has me logged in under my name. Windows 10 Home. Acrobat Reader DC ver 2021.007.20099|64bit Issues:- There is no option to add an additional signature.- When I click or double click on the minus to the right of the existing signature to remove it (in order to replace it), nothing happens. - When I click on add initials, a grey, transparent box covers the document and nothing else happens - it's as if a dialogue box is supposed to appear but doesn't. I can hit the escape key to make the grey box go away. screen shot attached.- The program appears to be functioning fine in all ways except the above. I have tried:- deleting and reinstalling the program.- creating a new pdf from a new blank document - the same issue occurs.- turning off "Enable Protected Mode at Startup" (

Who else has experienced the following: (Copying another users post from Reddit) as they desribe it best)With recent update (can't figure out yet if W10, to Adobe Reader, or Office 2016), when users double click open email attachment that have PDF. Then if they click on print on the pdf doc, it opens the printer list drop down menu to choose printer to print PDF doc, even if they choose printer, and click on print, it opens the drop down menu again and never prints.Works fine if doc is saved to the computer, also quick print from outlook works.Works fine if if change PDF default application to MS edge.----After my own invetsigation, found that ocurs when the pdf is in a temp state prior to being saved, where it would reside in C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Content.Outlook\<xxxxxxxx>Can also get it to occur in Acrobat when creating a new pdf but prior to saving. Unsure where the temp file resides prior to saving. Maybe the same fold

Due to other software 32bit office is a necessity.Adobe seem to think if you manually install 32bit office that means you want it to automatically change to 32bit 5 mins later.Anybody know how to stop this since it breaks compatability with 32bit apps.

Good day, I am experiencing an issue with some of the users that we do IT for where Adobe is slow in closing PDF's. The PDF's open correctly without any delay's or issues but when closing it takes about 30 seconds to close.I have disabled all security settings, run a repair, re-installed Adobe reader (Both 64bit and 32bit). Any advise on how to resolve this will be appreciated. Thanks
Hello everybody. A few days ago, colleagues of mine reported that the signing function was not working anymore. When they clicked on the signing page, they were shown the error "Acrobat has encountered a problem. Some features may not work as expected". When they clicked on "Learn More", they were forwarded to this website: Resolve errors related to the AcroCEF/RdrCEF processes of Acrobat or Acrobat Reader (https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrocef-rdrcef-errors.html) I have tried multiple things:- Update, Reboot- Uninstall, Registry Clean, Re-Install- Uninstall, AcroCleaner, Reboot, Re-Install Nothing has worked. Right now, the error also appears a fes seconds after I have opened a PDF. I can click on "OK", but when I want to sign the document, it happends again. I am using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Continuous Release 2021.007.20099, it is the 32-bit version. It runs on a Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard. Any suggestions? We need the signing-funct
I used to combine PDF Files that had seperate names. Now when I do it, it merges the format. How do I remove this?
I have a brand new computer using Windows 10 & Office 2016. I just edited an old PowerPoint file and saved it to PDF. I then did a word search in the newly created PDF which did not work as large blue boxes appeared. I tried this using both Adobe Reader DC & Adobe Acrobat X with similar results. I sent the document to a colleague and she cannot do a word search either. I then did a similar word search using older PDFs and it worked as expected. Any help would be appreciated.
I've created a pdf with form fill fields, now I'd like to save this pdf as a template so that the user can open a new pdf each time, as a normal template file should.Thanks.
I am not able to use acrobat though I am already signed into my creative cloud account.?
Merci beaucoup.
