Acrobat Reader

I'm working on an automation job using UC4 (Automic) to print PDFs from a directory. The automation tool logs into the Windows Server 2019 virtual machine with a local admin level service account and feeds the PowerShell script to the remote server for execution. I am trying to figure why the 'Start-proces '.\path_to_files.pdf' -Verb Print' cmdlet does not work when executed via automation tool, but works when I execute the cmdlet as a local admin user on the server?  When executing with the automation tool, the print job does not get added to the printer spooler queue. Could it be due to the "Enhanced Security" feature? I am reading that Acrobat does not allow "remote printing" if this feature is enabled--is this how it works?

In Acrobat reader When I go to View > Read Aloud > Activate Read Out LoudThen Either press Read this page only or read to end of document after that it does not work.It is not the sound or the speakers either I have tested this and they work.Also it does seem to make a funny sound just as I press it slightly but it does not read anything aloud.Why would this be?

I am filling in a document which states it must be completed through Adobe reader Acrobat. I can type and fill in the required sections however when it comes to signing it in seveal required places it says that the document doesnt support this and that it is an XFA Form..... The document is from a governemnt website and is required for a visa application and must be signed. Any help would be great.

Hi, I want to uninstall the AI assistant in Acrobat reader.  The instructions say, "navigate to Preferences > Generative AI." I don't have a "generative AI" option in Preferences.  So how can I uninstall the AI? Thanks! Evan

HiThe past few days when I try to open a pdf.zip file I cannot open it and get the following error message: Adobe Acrobat Reader could not open 'JobResults.zip' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachement and wasn't correctly decoded.) As it's happened with several pdf.zip files I am sure it is my PC and not the files being emailed to  me. I copied it to the Desktop and tried to open it there and got the same error message. Help appreciated. Thanks Mel  

Is it possible to embed fonts in Acrobat Reader DC? How? I need to do this for publishing in lulu.com.

We have 50+ users who are currently uable to print while using Acrobat Reader - this began with one user and then more and more began to experience it. When the users clicks the printer icon - the printer window appears - the user then clicks "Print" and this opens the Printer selection drop down menu. No matter what printer is set to the default or if they select Print to PDF, clicking print always opens that drop down menu. I will add in most cases, they are opening a pdf from outlook to print. We have completed basic troubleshooting with Adobe Chat with no success. If we move the users to Acrobat Pro they can print from there. If they save the document, right click on it, and choose print that will print the document. However, these steps are taking up valuable time. This issue begain in mid december with our first encounter of the problem. Searching on Reddit has revealed others with the same problem:Adobe reader print issue from outlook attachmen

Hi, I buy dressmaking patterns from online stores and when I download the pdf files (there can be up to 5 documents/files within the download) I just get a message to say files aren't supported or they are damaged. If I download them onto my old laptop they open in adobe acrobat reader, I then load the files into a folder then email them to myself, download them to my current laptop and I can then access them. A bit of a faff and my old laptop is coming to the end of it's life. I can't see any difference between the acrobat reader on each computer, am I missing something?

Hi,For some time now we experience some weird random issues with some features within Adobe Acrobat Reader on Azure AVD. Time to time the following issues occur:1. E-mail icon not working. Able to click on the icon but nothing happens.2. After adding a text block. The user is unable to move the textblock even though the move icon appears.3. Marking text won't mark anything.4. Sometimes saved signatures are gone and the user need to add them again. Multiple users mentioned they've had some sort of these problems before. And it occasionally returns. After a while it seem to work again. But it's becoming quite anoying. What could cause this behaviour? Version installed: Adobe Acrobat Reader Continuous Release 2024.005.20320 64 bits

Hello,I am creating Word Documents and converting them to PDFs. We put contact information in them such as names, phone numbers, email address.I have already got email address to work, with the hyperlinks and that converts fine to PDFs, but I am having problem with phone numbers.I have gone to hte hyperline and in the address typed tel:+0000000000 (of course switching out numbers), but it always attaches to a document path.  When I try to click on it in a PDF, nothing happens, but it shows clickable.  Mainly want this for people with smart phones to dial the number.The whole concept works in Word on a smart phone, but we lose design and pages.  That is why converting to PDFs.Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.Thank you,

My team is trying to bypass Protected Mode in Reader DC for a single application using a policy file and being met with failure. The policy file is working and Protected Mode is dropping a log file that is listing what is blocked with recommendations on what to allow through for each blocked entry. My policy:FILES_ALLOW_ANY = %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Create!form*FILES_ALLOW_ANY = C:\BottomLine Technologies, Inc*FILES_ALLOW_ANY = SERVERNAME\Create!formFILES_ALLOW_ANY = CfOWMergeTempPROCESS_ALL_EXEC = %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Create!form*SECTION_ALLOW_ANY = *CfOWHelper.dllREG_ALLOW_ANY = *CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers* Everything else but SECTION_ALLOW_ANY works perfectly fine to bypass Protected Mode. I have even tried SECTION_ALLOW_ANY = * alone in a policy file and sections are still being blocked according to the log files being dropped by Protected Mode. I have tried including the full file paths of the DLL, but I still see the same error message in the log file. No. Are there duplicate-ish posts? absolutely.  For over a decade people have been complaining about, and hacking registry settings to get rid of, that  "All tools" left nav that keeps re-opening on every document.  Even when the app is open already and you just open a new tab, the stupid thing pops up and takes up 25% of the real estate. Then I see a post from you titled "we've heard your feedback" and it's about AI... WTA??   Are you kidding me with this?  NOBODY wants this nav behavior. NOBODY, NOBODY, NOBODY!  If you tried using your own product in a real world scenario you would quickly realize the frustration this generates upon each use.  Please just TURN IT OFF COMPLETELY until & unless you create a non-volitile switch for user

I want to change the Acrobat Reader  pro to Turkish. Frankly i see in the options, i select it and save. But it doesnt work. I uninstalled the application from the computer and installed it again, but it doesnt work too. My teammates uses Turkish, but i can not. help 😞

Hi,I have a question related to the terms and conditions for using Adobe Reader. I use Open Office in which I can convert a document to PDF. In this way I can create a document that can be openend by Adobe Reader, but I create the PDF with another program (Open Office). But I read I cannot use the software (Adobe) with other software unless it is offered of permitted by Adobe. So is this use permitted? Thank you for replying.  

Some time the update to reader made it so I can't change font size in a form I am trying to fill anymore?  I used to be able to click the text thing when filling out a form in reader and I could change the font size of what I was typing into the form.   Now it seems to be fixed at what ever font size the form creater used.   Which doesn't hel when they want you to send a lot of info in a small form box and have a huge font size. Is there a way to fix this without buying Acrobat?   Heck this thing even allows me to change the text size I am typing.  

It's now a couple of years or more that Adobe acrobat is lagging really bad, unusable. I've been trying all fixes and none of them was the solution.Lags happens even only running the app, sometimes 10 seconds to 1 minute waiting for having the control again over the app. Happens again if i try to edit o if i want to show the pages.Will the team ever fix this annoying issue?Pleas provide a working solution. How do I download Adobe Reader for Chromebook? The Georgia state tax forms for 2018 can't be printed or viewed without Adobe Reader.They won't mail them to you, and they are not available at the library. The Chrome pdf reader doesn't work. I disabled it  hoping, per online discussions, that Adobe would just "kick in" but it didn't, and now can't open any pdf files. Federal tax forms download/print fine, but apparently Georgia added "advanced" features to their forms which makes them incompatible with the default Chrome pdf viewer. Am I, and all Chrome users in Georgia just out of luck?

Hi,At first we've an issue with version 2015.023.20059 which keeps showing the window to the user to select the preferenced theme. We've tried to save the setting from the user into 'RES Workspace' based on a template from RES, but that didn't succeed. Our next step is to install version 2015.020.20039 and disable the update-task and service on Windows-level. Unfortunatly, the application was updated to the last version after a couple of hours user 'SYSTEM' enabled both.Any option to take?Thanks in advance!

I'm trying to install Acrobat Reader, however during the install process Creative Cloud ends up installing Acrobat Pro instead. The problem is that Acrobat Pro slows down my PC and thats a problem for me. What can I do?
