Maybe Adobe's Acrobat Reader team would be interested in this: Starting with Linux Fedora-29 and forward there have been some problems with installing Adobe's Acrobat Reader 9.5.5-1 using the Linux 'dnf' command with AdbeRdr9.5.5-1_i486linux_enu.rpm. The problems are described here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1646701 http://www.deskdr.com/dr/adobe-reader-9-linux-ubuntu.html http://www.deskdr.com/dr/installing-adobe-reader-on-linux.html http://kofa.mmto.arizona.edu/computers/linux/fedora/f29_dnf_upgrade.html https://www.if-not-true-then-false.com/2010/install-adobe-acrobat-pdf-reader-on-fedora-centos-red-hat-rhel To address these problems I have reverse-engineered the installer so Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.5.5-1 can be successfully installed and run on Fedora-29 and forward. Is there a more cost effective set of edit tools for the PDF reader on personal accounts? You're aksing for AUD$28/month for access to the most basic set of tools. That equates to more than twice what I pay for my annual subscription to Microsoft Office full suite. There is a cost of living crisis in Australia, with everyone except billionaires and politicians struggling to keep up. I've been unemployed for six months and your ask is just too much. However, I really need to be able to convert pdf to Word to give myself the best opportunity to do a good job on my applications in an efficient and time effective way. All the position descriptions when downloaded are read only pdf., the online tools I use to set up my applications only read Word and I need to be able to use them. You are really limiting my ability to get work, which is hard enough as it is at 59. I just can't afford what you're asking and because I'm unemployed and this is for my personal account, none of it is tax deducti
So I've been trying the Fill and Sign option in Acrobat Pro DC. It asked me my name and created a handwritten image to place as my signature. Now I can't change it. I can't change the text, can't change it to an image, can't remove it. What if I changed my name, how would I change my signature?I have seen some posts from a few years ago saying click the '-' next to the signature. These are greyed out and do nothing when I click on them. I can't find anything in the settings. Does anyone know how to change a Fill & Sign signature?
Recently, when I save a PDF file through a program that I have on my Windows 11, I I receive a "Cannot Display Document". See screenshot image. The program saves the file where I intended it to, but doesn't open the PDF like it used to. Then when I go to the file location to open it. The PDF file doesn't open. I have to go to Task Manager to force close the Adobe Processes. After force closing, then I am able to open the PDF file from it saved location. This work around it timeconsuming. I don't know how to fix this and I don't know why it is happening. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe. I have tried Repair Installation within the Help Menu in the Adobe program. I am using Adobe Acrobate Reader, 64-bit. Can you help resolve?
I've installed Acrobat Reader believing that it is free and fair. But after that I've noticed that I have another anti virus software installed by Adobe. It is McAffee. Does it pay Adobe for combiting into Acrobat some side software? What else software can be inside it? Is there any hidden check box with pazzle which should be unchecked. I pay for my subscription and feel that this installation is unfair.Regards
I reformatted my laptop and redownloaded Acrobat Reader but when I login to account, it says I do not have a subscription plan. But I have just subscribed 2 months ago before the reformatting! Any advice on how to rectify this?

Hi,I'm seeing delays of up to 15 seconds when opening a PDF document with Reader from file explorer in Windows 10. The delays occur roughly half of the time, while the files open instantly the other half of the time. The size of the PDF document has no impact on opening times, and the same document can can behave differently on multiple attempts. If I open Adobe Reader from the desktop shortcut and browse to and open the file from within Reader, the files open instantly all of the time. It's only when opening the files from file explorer, and it's only when opening them in Adobe Reader. If I change my default PDF viewer to anything else, they open instantly from file explorer.I've tried uninstalling (via the uninstall tool) and reinstalling, modifying the security settings to disable Protected Mode and Enhanced Security, adjusting the rendering settings to the minimum, and adding the location of the files as privileged locations. None of those actions have had any impact.Any sugg

I'm using a properly licensed version of Adobe Pro, installed on my local hard drive. When I start it, it forces me to sign into the web version, whereafter I ONLY have the web version. The local version does not appear to be a useable option. Thoughts?
Hello, I'm a SysAdmin for a State Government agency. I received a helpdesk ticket from one of our users stating that he had a PDF file (1 page) that opened fine on some folks machines, but on his the characters were all jumbled. He is running Adobe Acrobat Pro on Windows 11 Pro. I attempted to open it on my mchine (Adobe Acrobat Reader (64-bit) - Currently patched) and all the characters are jumbled as shown below. I asked one of my counterparts to open it on his machine and it opens fine and is readable. I found numerous KB articles referencing The "Use Local Fonts" preference setting, but as mentioned in other artciles that was removed by Adobe in the late '23/early '24 patches. The document is using Ariel (regular, bold & italic). I am running Windows 11 Pro and have verified that this font is installed on my machine. Any help or assistance would be most appreciated. V/R, Jeff
The submit form button on IRS Form 4506-B PDF is not working un Adobe Reader and I am unable to find any customer support without paying for an adobe account. Can anyone help me with this?
Hello, I am running Adobe Reader DC in a terminal server and the users need Protected mode disabled. I can do this individually per user but would much rather find a registry change and push it out via GPO. I have found tons of guides for doing this in Adobe X and XI that work, by adding the following registry entry..Keypath: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\11.0\FeatureLockDownValue name: bProtectedModeValue type: REG_DWORDValue data: 0but the same things do not appear to work for Adobe DC.Has anyone had any luck with this? Thanks!Ian
PDF files that I used to be able to edit to are now suddenly read-only. Across the top bar, it says "The file you have opened complies with the PDF/A standard and has been opened read-only to prevent modification." How do I change that so I can make edits? Under Security Properties, it says Signing and Filling Forms is allowed. I have Adobe Reader X.
I'n not able to find this hotkey, anybody know if exist or if I can assign it?

VG,ARI
I have a PDF of a scientific paper. I can usually easily mark and copy content from a PDF and then paste it into a ppt slide. But with this document, it won't work. I can mark a section but then only the top bit of the marked section is highlighted and can be copied. Also, I don't see the snapshot tool in any of the menus.
Hello, recently I was forced to change to Adobe DC at work. We create PDF forms via Word that require digital signatures from various people within the company on a daily basis. I used to be able to sign them without issue and even when I first installed DC, I could sign them. Not today however. And by sign, I am not referring to adding a scanned jpg of my actual signature or scribbling an X with my mouse. I'm talking about digital ID files. I can create a new file any time I want, but I just cannot use it. When I click on the "Fill & Sign" button, the "Request Signatures" button is active, but the "Sign Yourself" button is greyed out. Other people can sign the exact same PDF file. I can't. Any ideas?

I try to open the pdf files from Adobe here:https://www.adobe.com/investor-relations/financial-documents.html# But on every file it opens a blank page with the error message saying "ViewSDK did not load properly". I tried different browsers, but get the same error on all of them. I don't get this error on other sites and pdf files I try to open. And it doesn't work to download the file and then open it, it doesn't download the file, just a shortcut. Is there a setting or something I can change to open or download the pdf files?
