Acrobat SDK

I've noticed recently that simply opening a PDF file and leaving it open for a minute or two makes my CPU fan kick in. The culprit is AcroCEF.exe. It consistently is using quite a bit of CPU power. It is not spawning several copies of its process, like some others have noted, but just the one running is enough to make me not want to open PDFs using Acrobat. What is this thing? Is there a way to fix it?By the way, I'm running Windows 10, latest updates, and Acrobat DC, latest version.

Hello All,I would like to implement a popup-menu in my PDF form. By choosing options in the popup-menu the PDF reader should have the possiblity to open attached files in a new window. Can I deactivate my personal copy of Adobe Acrobat XI Pro?  I do not have the original laptop.  I want to install the software on a new computer.

I worked on a file over several hours yesterday. I did a lot of work on that 78 page document, but did not manually save. I assumed that like other programs I used in 2016, that it autosaved and I didn't give it a thought. In the middle of the night my laptop decided to update. I lost ever single edit I had made. This was a lot of work that I lost! Is there, but chance, someplace that this data could be stored but just not showing up?

When highlighting text, I like to add comments to some of the highlighted areas.However, when i try to display these notes later on, I see that every single highlighted area is displayed as a 'comment'.How can one delete or hide these empty comments (so that only the 'actual' comments appear)?I have tried comment settings and searched for this question but couldn't find any good answer thus far.Your advice would be greatly appreciated.Regards,M

Hi, I'm trying to download my free trial of adobe acrobat and I keep getting an error message to close down Safari.  Everything is closed! I've shut down and rebooted and still nothing.  I checked other threat with suggestion of Application > Utilities > Activity Monitor but I don't have the safari notifications subfile so those instructions don't appear to work either.  Please help!!

I have a Lenovo T450s that is less than a year old.  It came with Windows 7 professional. I downloaded Adobe Acrobat Standard DC and had no problem installing. I upgraded OS to Windows 10 professional and was having problems recently with Adobe Acrobat Standard DC So, i uninstalled the program in order to reinstall it with the same product key. Now it wont install. I get an error message that says "This application cannot be installed on this operating system. Setup will now terminate. Please refer to the minimum system requirements at http://www.adobe.com/go/acrobat_system_reqs, Now, surely Adobe Acrobat can run on Windows 10 OS. This is extremely frustrating and even more frustrating that Adobe doesn't offer phone support for this issue. I have also already uninstalled Adobe Reader and run the cleanup tool but still get this error.

Hi, i have an issue with editable pdf documents. I have a small business creating editable pdf invitations. I am using adobe acrobat to create the invitations. Moreover, i create text boxes (using prepare form) and place them exactly where i want them to be. I have by this point sorted all the font sizes, colour and font type etc). I then save the document (enable more tools option of saving). I have then sold these online. However, customers have replied saying the text boxes have moved out of place completely (i have seen picture evidence of this). I'm not sure why the text boxes are moving when customers open the editable pdf's on their computers? Is there something i'm not doing when creating the document, which then results in the text boxes moving on other computers / when opened in adobe reader? Any help would be much appreciated.

I subscribed to Acrobat Pro DC for my macbook pro.  When I right click a web page I get the option to Convert Web Page to PDF.  I click on it and I get, "Conversion Failure... A supported version of Acrobat could not be found.  Install a free 30-day trial."  When I click on that, Adobe offers me a free trial of Acrobat Pro DC, the app I already subscribed to and am paying for.  What's up here, anyone?

Changing laptops. Trying to install Acrobat Pro XI on the new one.  Serial numer rejected.  What do I need to do?

I bought a new computer.  I followed the deactivation steps in Adobe FAQs and deactivated adobe acrobat x pro.  I then went to new computer and downloaded x pro.  It wants me to use a trial version and when I put my x pro serial number in it tells me I don't have that product on my computer.  Well, duh, I don't.  So how do I get adobe acrobat x pro activated on my new computer?

I have a MS Access application that takes a PDF "template" file, modifies it with data from the database and then saves then attaches it to an email. Each modified pdf overwrites the previous one, leaving the template untouched.This all works OK at home, but when I try it on the target computer I encounter problems. What appears to be happening is that the generated PDF is not being saved correctly as each email contains the same attachment - the very first one created. I have a document where some pages appear to have an origin other than the corner of the page. PreFlight shows this in the value for both CropBox and MediaBoxBut the getPageBox for Crop and Media returns 0,0 as the origin. Consequently, any attempt to add a form field or link gets positioned incorrectly.I could make adjustments manually if there were some way to tell this is happening. Is this a bug in getPageBox? I'm trying to print exams. I would like each exam copy to have it's own number on it (the first copy has 1 on every page, the second copy has 2 on every page, etc.,) Can someone explain to me how I can do this?

I'm relatively new to Adobe Pro, which we use to create financial reports from other files. At one point, you could use, I think, Ctrl + Shift + D to delete out pages. I either turned off this function or it is no longer available? Can I create a quick key to delete? How can I delete with one hand and scroll with the other to improve efficiency? I'm deleting out almost a hundred pages and anything would help. Thanks.

I have a fairly large print-based form that I need to turn into an online form. I already have a PDF of the document and just want to add radio buttons over the top of the existing tick boxes. Each question has three possible answers (Yes, No, n/a) and obviously I need to put each group of 3 checkboxes into the same group to make sure they behave as expected and only allow one choice per question.For speed, I drew out three checkboxes, gave them the correct responses and the same group name, then duplicated them across the form by alt-dragging them.I now need to go through the form and change the group names so that they are grouped by question, rather than all being part of the same group.i.e.The first group is P2_Q1. I want to select the next group of three radio buttons and in one operation change their group to, say, P2_Q2.
