I am trying to use Adobe Media Encoder to stitch together still images for a stop-motion/animation project. When I drag the folder of frames onto AME, I see this:So I drop it on the right. However, after I do that, the 50 frames animation is 4 minutes and 10 seconds. This is way too long/slow. How do I make each frame 1/30th of a second (if at 30 fps)? Or in any way shorter?I looked into preferences, I changed time tuner, frame rate, nothing worked. It'd be great if AME could make video files from a sequence of frames without having to waste time in AE or Premiere. Thanks
I am having a very similar problem. I am trying to encode 60 seconds worth of After Effects into AME and NOTHING happens. I have tried importing every way you can import. It just sits there and does nothing. It won't go any further. It is a rather uncomplicated file. Nothing fancy in it.
Having serious artifacting issues with anything with an alpha channel overlayed on a video. Rough pixelated black outlines on just the parts using alphas. This is only happening in Media Encoder, exports fine coming out of Premiere. I'd post an image but the parts that have problems are logos and I am not permitted to release that information. Anybody else having this problem?
So is there any news on what the issue actually is?Three months is plenty of time to fix this or at least tell us why it isn't fixed? Or is it just to hard to tell users that PR cannot run ProRes from ExFAT drives? How many users out there just think their machine is running slow? I swapped data between several HD's SSD's and laptops before I identified the issue and came here.Yes, I've adapted my workflow to compensate, but as an editor who has to jump between operating systems, this is quite a frustration.
So i imported an After Effects File into AME and only the folders are showing in the Composition selection menu, i have tried using "Render in AME" in after effects but all that does is crash both application.Title was edited by: mod
I've seen some old posts about this but nothing current. I'm interested in speeding up our rendering with AME by possibly using AWS. All of our current rendering machines are on really old hardware. I'd rather spend the money in AWS than on hardware that will need to be replaced again soon to keep up. We have 10Gb direct connectivity into AWS already so getting our projects files up there would be pretty easy. I'm just not sure if AME would work in AWS, what instance size would be best and what OS would be best to run it on.
Title says it all. Starts and runs fine as long as AFter Effects is not running. Using latest versions (hence the problems).I was waiting for an update to see if it got fixed but I just figured I'd ask. Thanks,
Hi,I am encountering this issue as well, in fact, I just had it hang for about 5 minutes, before finally kicking in.While it was stuck, I checked Windows Task Manager and did not see any abnormal activity. Low CPU, RAM, and Graphics Card use.My system specs are:After Effects 16.1.1Media Encoder 13.1Windows 10 ProAMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX 32-Core Processor 3.00GHzAsus ROG STRIX X399-E Motherboard128GB DDR4-2666 RAM2x GeForce RTX 2080 Ti (in SLI/NVLink mode)GeForce Drivers 430.39Samsung SSD 970 EVO 2TBAs you can imagine, encountering such long work interruptions, with an often used program, on a system that is otherwise quite nimble, is pretty frustrating, and I'd really love to get it sorted out.If there's anything else I can do/test to assist, I'll try and help as I can (work permitting). Thanks!Title was edited by: Mod
I apply a feathered round Mask on a clip, and when exporting directly from Premiere, it works great, but when sent to Encoder, it doesn't read it correctly, and I get a black feathered spot instead... Mask's dimensions apparently also are not read. Here are some screenshots:This is how the Mask looks like in Premiere (and exports well):Here is what I get instead, if exported via AME:
Hello all, I have been having a continuous problem with exporting my videos from PP to Vimeo through Media Encoder. First of all videos that are 5-10 minutes long are taking hours in the queue and secondly, I will let them upload overnight and leave my computer and way later when I check on it, it says the videos failed to upload to Vimeo. Do you know what the problem could be?Attached is a photo of what it says when i over over the "failed" icon. I would greatly appreciate knowledgeable, insight and advice thank you!
I'm experiencing constant software crashes and errors while transcoding 4k video (predominantly from ProRes to H264 or H265) on AME CC 2019 v.13.0.2Computer specs10-core iMac Pro running Mojave 10.14.264gb RAMRadeon Pro Vega 64 16368 MBAlmost every time I queue up a batch to process I end up with a freeze (software, not computer), and have to force quit and restart. Even stranger, the files in the queue marked as 'done' do not appear in the destination folder. I've never seen this before in years of AME / Apple use. I know it takes some time for Adobe to get its software running nicely on new Mac models and OS, but I feel like I've waited long enough for these problems to be addressed.File encoding is a big part of my work, and at this point I'm going back to my 2011 iMac just to make sure the job gets done.Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.
Did anyone work on it? Having similar issues with Media Encoder 13.1 Build 173 on Mojave 10.14.
I'm working on an AE project for my customer, something like 3 or 4 seconds long.So I chose YouTube 264 preset and pressed start on AME.I got 2 hours estimating time?! Are you kidding me?!Is that's even heavier than a AAA 3D animation or max setting on Dark Soul III?!And the blue bar is not moving!
Hi, I have a new Mac and when I try to compress the output from FCPX it is crashing my Mac. Hey guys, i already serched in to the forum, but i didn't find any answer. The AME is't using my GPU in render. The GPU aceleration is active, but the render is taking alot of time and the usage of my GPU doesen't pass over 0,1%.My spec:i3 G4560 (i know, it's weak. I'm going do buy a 9900k)GTX 1060 6GB8Gb ram
I am in this upgrade/hardware no where land.I stuck trying to do this with Xeon E5-2600 Dell Precision T3600 with Nvidia Quadro 5000 and I7 machine with MSI GTX-970 Gamer 4. I get a notice from Adobe CC when I launch Premiere pro-- that my Quadro 5000 card does not have the latest drivers (R375 U11 377.83--!) Adobe is asking for Quadro Hardware release 21.21.113.77... which i believe is really 377.83 But i cannot tell... i cannot find this version on Nvidia's website. I cannot get GPU rendering for a test project I am trying to do with 8k 60fps video. What i can get is 90+ hour render time for using SOFTWARE CODEC... Yikes!!!I have tried the following :VoukoderCinergy Daniel2And still this mess with Hardware incompatibility and no Hardware GPU rendering. Calvin Ogawa
My PC specs:AMD Threadripper 2990WX - 32 CoreCooler Master Liquid Cooling 64GB RAM CorsairZOTAC 1080Ti GraphicsWindows 10 ProEverything installed on SSD.I convert MOV files to MP4 on regular basis. Conversion started to be a painful task when all of sudden while rendering my machine started freezing. Display goes off and system hangs. I switched my renderer to Software based from CUDA core. It solved the problem but only for a while. Now my machines freeze with display going blank even in software renderer mode. Steps I have taken to resolve:1. Updated the graphics card driver - still crashes - [NO USE]2. Changed the graphics card to other alternate - Still crashes - [NO USE]3. Ran memory test (RAM) - found no error - Still crashes - [NO USE]4. Found my SSD working fine - no problem with SSD too5. Also updated the motherboard BIOS - I am not sure about the relationship with AME - Still Crashes - [NO USE]Nothing logged in Error Logs. I believe system hangs before anything could go into
Hello.I'm a bit stuck and I would appreciate some guidance.I got the following requirements:Format: MXF OP1aCodec: XDCAM HD @ 35 MB 59.94iResolution: 1920X1080Aspect ratio: 16:9The closest I've found is the XDCAMHD 35 NTSC 60i, but that forces a 1440x1080 resolution. The source is 1920x1080.I've tried making a new preset and that doesn't seem to work.
Our DAM requires XDCAM codec in a QT Movie wrapper. This option is no longer available in AME (or AEFT or PPRO), the versions which did support this are no longer allowed to be used. This can completely broken our workflow, what solution do we have now?
We're trying to output WebM files with the following specs:1920x1080, WebM (VP8 or VP9), Bitrate 2,000 kbps, (high profile), Max file size 4.0 MB854x480, WebM (VP8 or VP9), Bitrate 700 kbps, (high profile), Max file size 2.0 MB640x360, WebM (VP8 or VP9), Bitrate 360 kbps, (high profile), Max file size 1.0 MBCan AME do this? We're currently looking at 3rd party applications.
I need to export a video for work as a matter of emergency. It keeps crashing it wont render/encode the video. I have tried about 8 times. It is the first time attempting to render a video on a new computer, it was fine on my old computer which was a way lower spec, I am doing everything the same I think and Its a very powerful brand new 4K editing computer. Tried restarting the computer and trying again multiple times. it crashes within a few seconds after pressing Encode/Render button. It begins encoding then crashes. PLEASE HELP!!! Need to render this video by today for work! I am paying a pr
Wonder if anyone or Adobe knows the answer to this.I've captured various screen footage using iShowU Instant... regardless of me trying to conform to 30fps it creates its own adaptive frame rates (28.77 for example).QT has no problem playing this captured footage smoothly. And when imported into AE and used on the timeline (in a project conformed to 30fps) equally I will not see any dropped framesHowever if i try to render to MP4 or ProRes via AME i get brief green dropped frames, presumably its struggling to deal with non uniform frame ratesHowever I can render directly from AE to both ProRes and Animation compressed via the RenderQueue (at 30fps) and will experience no issues with dropped frames? In fact I ended up rendering to animation compressed from RenderQueue and then using AME to re-encode to MP4 and have no dropped frames. Therefore can AME only handle source footage in AE that conforms to a uniform standard frame rate?Cheersps i'm using a Mac and CC2019 etc..Title was edited b
Hello everyone, I create long relaxation videos and I need to stick my clips end to end to make a video of several hours. The passage image is done smoothly but there is a jump in the sound not very acceptable for a relaxing video.I have tried all possible codecs and only the .AVI works well. Except that the quality is very low.I also tried several softwares to join the files but it suggests that it comes from the codec as the result is the same.I leave it to you because I am desperate! I've been on it for several days and my productivity has gone to zeroOf course it is possible to make the video of several hours directly but if I do that I have several days of grinding! What I would like to avoid. Thanks for your help
There are many issues with M.E. 2019, this is specifically in regards to it having severe effects on responsiveness of all other applications when encoding. In my case, it's an AE project. I'm on a 2017 iMac Retina, on Mojave 10.14.4 with 64gb ram and a Radeon Pro 580. I have tried both Open CL and Mercury Metal encoding. No change.I get beachball or just a stuck cursor for 2-3 seconds every 5-6 seconds, making the computer pretty much unusable while encoding. Typing this post took a half hour. Many of my projects use Element 3D, but I have always been able to use M.E. with very little tax on system prior to 2019.I have uninstalled, reinstalled and had multiple updates on both AE and M.E. and wiped preferences, no change. (though it did fix some other problems)In system activity I notice the GPU is almost completely maxed out while the CPU usage and memory usage is almost none.I'm open to work-arounds, but downgrading my AE isn't an option as most of my projects were created in 2019.
