Every time I send an After Effects comp to the Media Encoder render queue it generates a tmp file stored in the same location of the project. This generates a large amount of files and disk space. Is there a way to automatically delete this files once rendered or, if not, change the location of this AME temp folder. I work with a 15GB Google Drive cloud and it goes out of storage from time to time because of this useless temp files.Thank you, Sergi
I'm working on an AME script that should work alongside an AE script. I would like to send a list of comps from AE to AME (which I'm successfully doing using `app.project.renderQueue.queueInAME(false)`) then edit the render settings for each using an AME script before starting the render.Unfortunately, reading through the AME scripting documentation, I can't figure out how to access a list of all the batch items currently in the queue. I see that the frontend object has methods (like `frontend.addFileToBatch(...)`) which return scripting objects or events like `onItemAddedToBatch` where I can access items as they're added to the batch. But is there a way to access the items already in the queue? It feels like a simple thing, but I just can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated 🙂 Thanks! Adam ps - I'm open to other ideas as well (like if I can send render settings from AE with the `app.project.renderQueue.queueInAME` call or if there's a way to add mu
I have a .mpg file with video and 8 discrete channels of audio that I'm trying to transcode to a stereo ProRes .mov file. I assumed in transcoding that the 8 discrete audio channels would be mixdown on the ProRes export BUT that is not the case. Please advise. thx
Hello, I'm creating a watch folder with AME to transcode pro-res assets to h.264, but it doesn't seem that the watch folder is active if i have AME closed on the machine i built the watch on. Is that common? Is there a way to keep the watch folder active even if AME isn't open on the machine I built the watch? Thanks!
I can veiw the .MXF file just fine in vlc I have roughly 6000 videos left to encode that error out. This is very frustrating.
I have a 4K timeline with 1080p clips scaled to 200%, until I receive the 4K versions to replace. In the meantime however, I need to export the timeline in 1080p, however they are coming out extremely pixelated at 1080p - I understand this is because AME is doing the following:- Scales 1080p clip to 200% to fit 4K timeline (acceptable downsampling)- Takes pixelated 4K timeline and scales back down to 1080p (not acceptable levels of downsampling) I am doing this by changing the dimensions in Basic Video Settings in Media Encoder. My question is, is there a better way to do this, without creating a separate 1080p timeline? Thanks
Original file is a 12 min. 4K 30fps iPhone video that plays back without any problems. After editing down to under 6 min. and doing some color correction in AE, every attempt at rendering in Media Encoder, no matter what codec I choose (including ProRes 4444), always results in certain sections of the video playing back stuttering at a reduced frame rate. Those sections are always the same in each instance. I also tried reducing the resolution in ME to HD and get the same stuttered result.
Hello! I really could use some help. I am trying to export an animated video I made with audio and turn it into a mp4 file so I can watch it. Everything seems to work just fine, but when Adobe Media Encoder is finished encoding my file and I play the video half of the video is cut off from the bottom (so I can only view the top half of what I've animated) and there is no audio. I have checked to make sure that the video will export with the same dimesions of my canvas, but it just isn't working. I have followed everything this guide (https://helpx.adobe.com/animate/how-to/export-video-mp4.html) has said, but I am unable to get it to work. I have tried exporting the sample file on that page, which works, but mine won't. If you're able to help you'll have to explain things in a very simple way because I haven't used Animate or Media Encoder before. Also, this website won't let me attach my file, otherwise I would so someone could help me out. Thank you for the help!
hi, i need to download security update for adobe media encoder 23.6.5. Please advise where to download. Thank you
Hi,I read many posts on this forum in Media Encoder CPU usage (50% instead of 100% for exemple), but I never read about optimisation. So, I got two questions :What is the maximum number of CPU cores that Media Encoder supports ?If I have to do two equivalents renders, what is it the best :make my renders one after the other in a 20 CPU coresmake my renders alongside on two 10 CPU coresTell me if you need more informationsThanks !
I am using a MacBook pro, I have enough space in my computerProcessor: 2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9.Mac OS Ventura: 13.0 I have updated all the adobe apps to 2023.I have been working on 6-sec videos and they are short. Somehow my Encoder doesn't open and it keeps saying error. I have tried deleting and reinstalling. Shut down my computer and update. Nothing seems to work. I closed my after-effects and tried only opening the media encoder and it still doesn't open. Someone, please help me.
Acrtic Wolf scans my network for vulnerabilities. It flagged a computer for Adobe Media Encoder, and the remediation says: Update to version 23.6.2 or 24.0.3 or later. Please see the references for more information. I am having trouble finding the update. Please help! 🙂
Hi I have Premeire Pro 2021 on a iMac Sonoma 14.4.1. I have a 2 hr video edited in Premiere that I normally export as a Pro Res 422 file, then author in Toast 20 Pro. The problem I have is the file size is 22.06 GB and when the Bluray disc is played, there are drop outs.I read posts, and tried h.264 Bluray export. Files were too big to author to disc.Any suggestions on providing HD quaility with out disc errors?Thank you.

For the longest time I've been using Media Encoder and the YouTube settings to upload my content automatically. Well all of a sudden it just stopped working. It say's I'm logged in but when I go to export and upload the media exports fine but errors out on the upload saying I'm not logged in. I've tried everything I can think of. From signing out of YouTube and restarting my system but the login still appears. I've removed every single custom export setting, completely removed Premiere, Media Encoder and After Effects. Then rebooting and reinstalling, to no avail the youtube login still remains. Please some one give me some advise, I've literally tried everything I can think of besides creating a completely new user profile and starting from scratch with I'd really like to avoid. Thank you! Looking to get some help from the pros. I generally like using H.264 to export my files out for viewing. They tend to be pretty widely accepted and most people can watch it. I do have one problem when I export them through Media Encoder the files are very big. I recently finished a simple video of about 7mins that came in at almost 500mb. To me, this seems very big and it is no way convenient for web viewing as the file is just too large. What can I do or what setting should I be using to make this more accessible to people online. Thanks for the help in advance.
Hi,I continue to study this wonderful conversion tool. But I'm confused that I can't find a way to not recode the audio or video stream, but just add it unchanged. This feature is available in a lot of free tools and probably in this advanced one, but I can't find it. Is there any clue?Thank you
Exports fail if I try overwriting a previous export, export only works if I turn on "increment output filename," but I don't want to do that. I used to be able to overwrite exports. Workstation:2021 MacBook Pro 16in, M1 Max, 32core GPU, 64GB memory
OS: Windows 11RAM: 128GBAE: Version 23.0.0 (Build 59)AME: Version 23.0 (Build 57) I render a lot of exr sequences and I have a project where the client wants me to render roughly 150 comps at the same time. I would like to use AME for this. Here's what I am encountering. I have a watch folder and drop my projects in. All of the exr sequences get rendered to the same massive folder - no subfolders. Creating a file management nightmare for delivery. In AE I have the option to "Save in Subfolder" (output to). Can I do this in AME? Second issue is my client wants the renders to start at frame 1 even though the metadata timecode will match the edit. In AE I have the option "Starting #: _" (Output Module) where I can set to 1 and the files will be named "comp_001.exr" "comp_002.exr" and so on. AME always starts the file sequence at 000 and I can't find a way to change that. It would be very useful if there is a work-around that doesn't involve me manually setting the dire
I've done some searching for an answer to this question but get a lot of old posts and no clear answers. I'm using AME CC 2017.I saved a queue of a couple dozen files each with 3 presets to render to. Now I need to make some changes to the videos and need to re-render the videos. How do I locate and open the saved queue? It appears there is no option for that - like opening a recently saved file. What happened to the saved queue? Some posts say it is a batch.xml file that is overwritten. Then why give the option to save? What am I missing - or do I have to go back and recreate the queue each time which would be a tedious time wasting task? Hopefully there is an easy if not obvious solution.

I tried adding effects to a video edited with cuts in Premiere Pro using AfterEffects. When I attempted to export a composition of approximately 480 seconds (1920*1080) using Media Encoder (2024), it took about 30 minutes and stopped at "Remaining: 00:00:00".The destination folder contains the audio and video data before merging:00_render_480sec_fullHD.22384.15580.aac00_render_480sec_fullHD.22384.15580.m4v00_render_480sec_fullHD.22384.15580.m4v.md0When I press "Escape" in Media Encoder, the above files are automatically deleted.I am successfully able to export other compositions within the same file without any issues. Is there any solution to this issue? 00_render_480sec_fullHD.22384.15580.aac00_render_480sec_fullHD.22384.15580.m4v00_render_480sec_fullHD.22384.15580.m4v.md0Media Encoder で「Escape」をすると、上記ファイルは自動で消去
After using Media Ecoder for a couple of years to create proxy files I now cannot get it to add my watermark. I'm using ME version 23.1 (Build 81) on a Apple Silicon MacBook Pro. All permissions are fine. I have tried resizing the watermark file, repositioning it in the frame and I have tried various file formats (other than the usual png) but no matter what I do ME will not add the watermark. I have tried the watermark file in various folders (just in case there is a permissions glitche). Nothing works.
J'utilise after 24.3, mediat 24.3.
