i recently upgraded to OSX Catalina (finally) and as such, updated all my Creative Cloud apps (to 2020). I had issues trying to open Premiere Pro the other day, but eventually after trying a dozen times, it opened. Now that i've edited my video, Adobe Media Encoder won't open. it does the "Verifying Adobe Media Encoder" and then just stops.... nothing. at all. i eveen tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. can anyone point me in the direction of how to make this work? i really gotta get this project done!
Hi everyone,I've some H.264 video that has no GPS data, but I'd like add them in post-production during the encoding. In the Media Encoder metadata window there are GPS fields but I'm not able to edit them as you can see in the image:Do you know any tricks to achieve my goal ?I'm working on Adobe Media Encoder 24.11 (build 2) but I've the same problem in Adobe Premiere....Thank you all in advance.Simone
HiWhat are currently the smallest files with alpha that can be created in Media Encoder?I need them as proxy files with alpha in PP. (I know how to make an ingest preset etc.)Many thanks in advance, David EDIT – it should be a very edit-friendly codec 🙂
I need help are taking too long because just yesterday I made one and I don't delay so much !!
I just finished creating proxies for a project that was shot in 4k anamorphic.Once I created proxies, it does not give me the option to interpret to 1.33.Do I need to interperet all footage before I make the proxies? (its almost 1TB of video and took about 9 hours to encode)I have never worked with anamorphic or proxies before. Thanks for ther help.
Recently I found that premiere pro export via ME results in some error (partial video rendered as stripe patterns). This is resolved by uninstalling ME, then installing it again. But why is this necessary? Doesn't Creative cloud auto update apps anyway? And is there a way to avoid having to reinstall an app? Or at least an indication when I need to do this?
Hello, i have a video with these specs (first picture) but i can't change avc format to mpg4. I tried changing the format from h264 to MPG4 but my video quality drops a lot and aspect ratio changes completely. How can i export or convert video like second picture?
Hi there, We've had colleagues report issue across both 24.0 & 24.1 (unsure as to whether or not they have tested with 24.1.1 - have chased to clarify) versions of AME. Exports are attempted using a Apple ProRes 422 HQ interlaced profile but fail to complete every time. My understanding is that users were initially on 24.1 when encountering this issue. Rolling back to 24.0 worked briefly, but has since resulted in the same issues cropping up. The source location of the media is always the /var/folders/ location (which I believe to be the local Mac Storage?). The consistent error messages we see are 'The Operation was interrupted by the user' - there is no such physical action / interference by colleagues as far as I understand, and whilst they continue to use their respective devices during the export action, the useage should be no more different / extreme than usual where we have never really seen issues like this. I've next queried if they r
I recently updated AME to 24..1.1. The release notes state that we can now playback and preview audio and video files in the Export Settings. I can't seem to be able to do that. Has anyone else been using this feature? Thanks.
Hi,I just got my hands on a brand new computer, 4Ghz 8 cores i9, and a Rtx 2080 ti. I was expecting the i9 to blow my mind during renders, so I fed him a Vr conversion project.Input is a 360 equirectangular, 5.7K video. Converted using the VR Converter effect, to a 5670 x 1000 h.265 video via media encoder.Thought it would heat up the CPU for a while. However, when I open up the performance tab through windows' task manager, the cpu is running on average at 20%. The Gpu sometimes climbs up to 10% (which does not surprise me since I'm already aware that media encoder doesn't know how to encode using the gpu). What I'm concerned about is the low cpu usage. I thought it would go to 100% and render 4 times faster...Drives don't seem to be a bottleneck. It's a m.2 SSD and i'm not asking to write 1Tb/s, the file ends up around 500Mb.I have tried different input files, different resolutions (in and out) not much change. I also tried without effects, simple "3 videos stitched together", cpu usa
How to load an image sequence as source file in AME Scripting and interpret its frame rate? The default here seem to be 29.9700, how to set it to 25pfs for example?
How to load an image sequence as source file in AME Scripting? This does not work, what does it need as source?var sourcePath = "filename.[0001-0010].png" var encoderWrapper = frontend.addFileToBatch(sourcePath, format, presetsPath, outputPath);
AME 24.1.1 (Build 2) on macOS 13.5.2 Several export presets and four Watch Folders disappeared and need to be rebuilt from scratch. Thankfully AME '23 still has them and can be used.
Is it no longer possible to format files to upload on YouTube and/or Twitter? I used to be able to format specifically for those sites and now can't find the option. Has this changed, moved, or been removed as an option completely?
Hi, lately I noticed that the latest version of Media Encoder 24.0.3 build2 for export/rendering use more CPU about 70% and not GPU about 12% (i have 2 Geforce 1080TI in SLI) this is live activity: Why does this happen even though the 'Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (Cuda)' option is selected on ME? Is this normal or is there something wrong? also because with the same product the rendering times have become longer than before, the video cards are updated (Driver Studio). Thanks for reply!
Since Media Encorder 2023 version, I can't open the software whatever I do.I tried via the dynamic link of Aftrer Effects : don't openI tried via the Cloud : don't openI tried open Media Encoder directly : don't open Each time, I have to unsinstall and reinstall the software to get it works. But it works only once and then it fails again. Is there anybody who has the same problem? It started a few month ago when I installed the 2023 version.
Hey everyone, So, I'm working on this interview with a multicam setting. Once I am done editing, I'm trying to export the project and then, Media encoder (or Premiere for that matter) will start preparing a lot of audio tracks that do not even exist and it goes on forever, like 15 or 20 minutes. Doesn't matter if the whole timeline is exporting or only a few seconds, it will always do that and the same happened with previous multicam sequences. As you can see, it is preparing 20 Audio files. But the thing is, I'm only using 2 ZOOM files and a few transition sounds, all of it set on 3 audio tracks. I've looked into multiple troubleshooting options, none of them worked. Does anyone have come up with this problem and solved it?I'm currently running on Premiere Pro 22.4, Media encoder 22.4. My PC is admittedly a bit old: intel(R) Core i5-4460 CPU Quadcore @3.20GHz, 12Go RAM DDR3 and a GTX 1070 but I've exported denser projects with motion design without such a problem.
I've been having the weirdest issue recently when exporting videos through Media Encoder and Premiere. At different points throughout a video, the exported video will crunch the frames (looking like the image referenced below), throwing the audio out of sync with the video. I think the problem might be related to my GPU, but even when I switch it to software only, it still has weird frames like this. I've tried everything from re-installing drivers to uninstalling and re-installing premiere and media encoder. Has anyone else had this problem before? It's also worth noting that the drop frames like this are in different spots with each export, so it's not related to a specific video clip or part within the sequence. My computer specs are:NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 TiIntel Core i7-7820x 3.6 GHz64 GB of RAM
I'm trying to convert a .mov file to a H.264 mp4 file using Media Encoder. The source video it is not displayed once I add it to the Queue. A black screen is shown in the Source and Output windows and Media Encoder is exporting black videos. I am using the default preset Match Source - High Bitrate for the H.264 format. Thanks!
Hello,So none of my AE projects are getting rendered as h.264 via media encoder since last week. Been getting this error repeatedly and I haven't found out why so far. I'd updated to the latest version around the same time but I also tried downgrading it and still didn't seem to solve the issue.System:MSI GP73 Leopard 8RF,Windows 11, Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz, 2201 Mhz, 6 Core(s), GTX1070RAM: 32GB----------------------------------------------------------Encoding Time: 00:00:1505/16/2022 07:25:20 PM : Encoding Failed------------------------------------------------------------Export ErrorError compiling movie.Render ErrorRender returned error.Writing with exporter: H.264Writing to file: G:\personal\test.mp4Writing file type: H264Around timecode: 00:00:00:24Rendering at offset: 0.000 secondsComponent: H.264 of type ExporterSelector: 9Error code: -1609629695I've tried changing to the software renderer but it was still a no go. Is there still no way to create a proxy render preset that lets you match audio settings, and set the resolution of only one side while keeping the aspect ratio? It really sucks to send a bunch of files to media encoder, not realizing that some of the files weren't recorded with audio in the camera. Premiere doesn't both checking the files against each other, so it renders them, then tells you that you can't use the file as a proxy because the audio doesn't match. The same goes for when someone uses Canon and records 4 channel audio even though they aren't using it. (Very annoying) It just doesn't make much sense that you need to create different presets for Every change other than framerate. I've got a 16:9 and 17:9 preset for h.264, h.265, a couple proRes sizes, etc. And if I have an audio mismatch, I've got to create another one? Am I missing something? I am currently looking into a way to just have some watch folders using ffmpeg instead because you Can do that
With the same 40 minutes video- on the same computer, Adobe Premiere finished the export in 12 hours. With Media Enoder - After 12 hours I still have 90 hours left -and the estimated remaining time just keeps going up.(see the attached print screen)The only difference from the 2 exporting is that in Premiere Pro the export was with 2 muted (by accisent) sound tracks. Now, -it's the same basic laptop (without a quality graphic cards) opted for software only rendering. For me the only reason to export within the Media Encoder is the stop-continue option-nothing else. The process > export settings in Premiere > send to Media Encoder > Turned OnMy questions :1- Why is there no option to pause and continue the export within Premiere Pro? (assuming it's the same rendering engine)2- Correct me if I'm wrong - a software designed specifically for rendering /exporting video should't be faster than software designed mainly for editing?
Hi there , I have followed all instructions below to use LUTs, however you send the export to Media encoder, the export does not apply the LUT. https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/selected-luts-not-applied-to-media-encoder/m-p/14068451 Copied LUts into The Program{package} files/Adobe/Common/LUTs folder ,doesn't work.Have full Administrator permissions to run both Premier and Encoder .Lut names have no space or characters. Can you share any compatible to run for BT2020 conversions to BT 709 ? Why i can't import LUT into Encoders? Can this be done?Do we need to import into Encoders too?I have tried 3 different LUTs, but Encoder can't import it ,but Premier can do Thanks in advanceSelcuk
Hello there! I search hours about that issue and find nothing tlaking about this particular problem , so i decided to be the pioneer reporter of this error. (Don`t know if its a good thing). When i put to render in Media Encoder, it render all the video and, at the End, show me a Positive Sign with a yellow alert. When i put to play, VLC cant play this, or other media reprodutor as well. I Found the issue in here that is the space of the disk, that adobes reads like its out of space, but it is not. My solution is every time i want to render, put the desktoip destination, then it works fine. This issue is happening to me in Windows 10. In Mac system i can render in the path normaly. Sorry for my bad english, im a Brazilian! And thanks for now!
