Hi community, Since a few days i cannot export via the Media Encoder. To be precise, I can but the files are said to be offline, while in premiere it's all clean and I can even export from there without any problems. it happened to me in the first place directly after the 2025 update, however I unticked the "import natively" button and it worked. Now the box is unticked and the problem is back. Any suggestion? Working on Macbook pro. Thank you,
I have a script that adds files to the AME batch list from a user selected folder. I haven't used the script in a while and when I went to use it today I found the file/folder access is no longer functioning?! The same script works fine on Mac but not on Windows 10. I tried a bunch of different file and folder access methods hoping something might work but they all seem broken. also rolled back to AME 24 which definitely worked in the past but still no joy.It seems that people were having a similar issue with Premiere a while back that was caused by a Windows update. I aslo thought there might be an equivalent preferences setting to "allow scripts to access files" as there is in Ae, but couldn't find anything. I really need this script going again asap... Hoping someone has some intel or workaround. thanks ../JL
It is quite weird!whenever I try to export in QuickTime GoPro CineForm, I get a straight "Failed" error messageI have Mac Studio with M2 Ultra chip 64GB and can not figure why!Running Media Encoder V25.0 (Build 54) on MacOS Sequoia 15.0.1 The error message:- Encoding Time: 00:00:0011/19/2024 06:04:38 PM : Encoding Failed------------------------------------------------------------Export ErrorIncompatible Video Codec found in the preset. Hello, The tech specs: App version: 24.6.1Platform and OS: Windows 11 Home - 23H2 I am hoping you all can possibly help me/guide me on the path to fixing this! At my work we use AME connected to a NAS to encode our master videos to various different file/video sizes. Recently however there has been an issue where if a .MOV file is placed in a watch folder AME will encode the file okay, however it will leave the file in the watch folder and will not move it to the source folder. When you go to delete the file, it states that AME is using the file and it cannot be deleted. If you close ME and then reopen it will encode the file again and repeat the above issue. The only way to clear these files from the watch folder is to close ME and then delete it off of the PC that we use to encode. I found that if you encode the .mov file to the likes of AS-11, it would then encode and be moved to a source folder with no issue. However if there is a way to hel
I have always edited while I am exporting videos. Now, for some reason, whenever I set something to export in Media Encoder and i go back to premiere, every time I press space to pause or play whatever video im working on, it also does it on Media Enconder. This has stopped me from working on premiere because i keep pausing and starting again my export. Anybody else experiences this?
When exporting a list of MP3 files from ME, it sometimes glitches out random Audios. Which ones' are totally random and have nothing in common that would make a difference. At a random time of the file, it plays again from the beginning. This happens in the same file without skipping to the actual beginning.Example: File is 4:06. At 3:08, it just plays from the start again and stops when the file hits 4:06. The actual file reached 3:08 once and played the first 1:02 again. The source file plays just fine. My process is importing all the files into the queue\trimming the end of some files\setting final file location\applying preset export settings, which include normalization and limiter in the editing category.
My Premiere Pro sequence is 2160 x 1215.When I export to Media Encoder, it shows 2160 x 2014.Why is this happening? Premiere Pro Version: 25.0.0 (Build 61)Media Encoder Version: 25.0 (Build 54)MacOS Version: Sonoma 14.6.1Computer: Macbook Pro 2023 M2 Pro Screenshots Attached
I've had this issue for some time - throughout V24 and now V25.If I export a 30 sec sequence file from Premiere as ProRes, it takes seconds. If I send the same sequence to Media Encoder, it takes up to 10 minutes to encode as ProRes.I'm using smart rendering, which as I said works great exporting directly from Premiere. But in Media Encoder it takes forever.I've compared my settings in both ME and Premiere and they're identical.30 second commercial, not a problem exporting from Premiere but I also have 1 hour programs that I wouldlike to be exporting from ME so I can keep working in Premiere.Incidentally, both Premiere and ME encode h264 with no problems. It seems to be ProRes in ME that's the issue.Thoughts? Studio M2 Ultra24 core64 GB RAM
Please for thelove of God, someone tell me how to fix this. It makes me itch down to the bone and i can not stand it . This has only started happening after the update
When I queue media from Premiere to Media Encoder, Media Encoder imports the project to the queue BUT redirects the project path to the Temp folder on my C drive. Additionally, the moment Media Encoder imports the file and adds it to the render queue, a new source prproj file is created in the same Temp folder. This new project file is an exact duplicate of my actual project file that I had sent over to Media Encoder. Because of this, not only is my C drive being filled up with excessive, unnecessary prproj files, but my renders in Media Encoder are noticeably slower now because it's sourcing from the wrong drive. There are no settings in either program turned on that would cause this (to my knowledge at least). I do not use watch folders. I do not use dynamic link. I have triple-checked all Cache output settings in both programs, including the project settings and sequence settings in Premiere. Everything is as it should be and, more importantly, how it's been for every
Dear Adobe Support,I am encountering an issue with Adobe Media Encoder when uploading videos to YouTube. Specifically, the titles of my video files in Russian are being truncated to 54-55 characters, whereas titles in Romanian\English are not being shortened and can exceed this limit significantly. This discrepancy is causing problems with the accurate representation of my content on YouTube. Here are the details of my setup and the issue:Software: Adobe Media Encoder 25.0 (54)Platform: YouTubeIssue: Russian file names are truncated to 53 characters upon upload, whereas Romanian file names are not truncated and can contain many more characters.Could you please investigate this issue and provide a solution or workaround? Your assistance in resolving this problem would be greatly appreciated, as it is crucial for the proper titling of my videos.Thank you for your support.Best regards,[Your Name]
I notice when creating proxies in premeir pro media encoder will open overtop of premeir, but wont seem to be doing anything. this is because hidden behind the media encoder window is a small pop up window that says "creating proxy jobs" . media encoder wont start the process until this is finished. I personally have found multiple times ive closed media encoder thinking it wasnt working correctly beause this pop up is appearing behind the media encoder window. if it could somehow pop up in front of media encoder when it opens i feel it may help lessen confusion and make a quicker workflow.
Hi all,I hope this is the right place to post. Windows 11 Home 64 bitME 2025 build 54Every time I render with ME the CPU utilisation goes up to 100% and it almost eats up all the RAM. Yesterday I was using both ME and PP at the same time when PP crashed. Even after that, the CPU used by ME was 100%. Is there a way to prevent this? I took some screenshots of what's happening while I was rendering a video yesterday, find them below.CPUMemoryGPUProcesses Any help is highly appreciated.
Hello, Media encoder (standalone) applies a lut to EXR files when encoding to MOV. I am colour managing them from other applications and do not want this applied. I want image in > image out. Is this possible?
Hi everyone I work at a film school where we shoot on a mixture of cameras, but mostly ARRI. ARRI Cameras have a wealth of metadata in their original files but it all disappears when trancoding material in Media Encoder (say from ProRes 4444 to ProRes (anything)). Yes there's a metadata option that supposedly preserves all - but it does no such thing. I'm not expecting media encoder to necessarily keep everything (like lens used, shutter angle etc - though that would be great) - but it doen't even keep basic gamma info - like whether it was shot in linear or Log... Perhaps there are new features in the Premiere Pro 2025 / Media Encoder 2025 offerings to this end? Or is there something I'm missing? If not it seem strange with Adobe's apparent desire for more professional colour managment workflows within Premiere that this is a bit of a gaping gap. Any pointers gratefully received (adding metadata manually file by file or afterwards is unfortunately not feasible) Tha
Can the "Match Property to Source Video" function be added to the AVI Export panel options?Yes, yes. I get it. For what possible reason would one need to export any video in the AVI format? Go ahead, crack a few jokes. With that out of the way... I happen to work at a broadcast studio. We are required to output video content in a wide range of formats and resolutions for a number of different screen types with non-standard aspect ratios. I help build AME presets for artist, producers, technical director's to standardize and streamline our output. Some of our systems require certain formats, such as AVI, with certain proprietary codecs, to operate. When it comes to AVI exporting specifically, the export panel for this format does not include the "Match Property to Source" function. This function is very helpful with other formats because it allows us to streamline the number of presets we'd need across our varied content. Can this function be added to the AVI export panel?Thank

Hi all, I am getting an error whenever I try to select an output directory to save a file to "Adobe Media Encoder.exe has quit unexpectedly" This also happens when trying to import any presets, the program hangs then crashes. If I add a file and let the output go back to the source folder, it works fine. Adding presets to the Encoder Presets folder also works fine. Crashes only seem to occur when asking Media Encoder to browse to a directory. I have unistalled and reinstalled, rolled back to different versions. Removed the Encoder folder from Documents and tried changeing compability setting on the exe all to no avail. I am running Windows 10 Enterprise 10.0.19045 Build 19045 on a HP Z8. Thanks,
I am using Adobe CC since one month on my notebook (operating system: Windows 10 Pro). After the last update of my Adobe Media Encoder (to v25.0), it no longer starts. Only the splash screen is displayed, but without a loading status text. I then uninstalled version 25.0 and installed many of the previous versions (v24.6.3, v24.6.1, v24.6, v24.5, v24.4.1) - one after the other. But even with all these versions I have the same problem. I don't know what to do. It is also surprising that it worked before the first update to v25.0, although I don't know which version it was. But I only installed it at the end of September, so it must have been one of the last ones (v24.6.3 ?).
ME version: 24.6.3 (Also tested on 25)OS: MacOS Sonoma 14.4.1 When exporting the Apple ProRes MXF OP-1a, ProRes 422 LT codec, the metadata of the exported file includes a display aspect ratio that is incorrect and affects the display of the exported video. I'm trying make easy and simple animation of beating heart but after render still have jagged edges...Know someone how to fix that? (need it for twitch allert and max is about 50 MB size)
Hoping someone can help. I have updated to the latest version of Adobe ME 2025. It has however presented me with new bugs whilst using my Ingest Preset. I have to tick both boxes in the settings window to Transfer and copy files to the destination otherwise it won't work, see attached pic. This also copies the sources files to the same destination which is kind doubling up creating more HDD space than needed I also can't create a new one properly. The window looks like the encoding preset window hope there's a solution to this Thanks Cameron
Hi.I'm trying to render out a batch of files from AME, but they keep getting stuck at 100%, and never finishing.AME creates 3 files, a video file, an audio file and the container, but never merges them into one complete file.Everything seems to render normally if l render directly from Premiere Pro, but as l have a ton of files l need to render out for archiving l'd love to be able to queue it up..My render settings are:- H.264/mp4- Video: 1920x1080 (1,0), 25 fps, Progressive - Audio: AAC, 160 kbps, 48 kHz, Stereo - Bitrate: VBR, 2 pass, Target 10.00 Mbps, Max 12.00 Mbps - The source was deinterlacedSource files are P2 media; DVCPRO HD.I am rendering on:iMac 21,5" late 2012OS X 10.8.5CPU: Intel i7 - 3,1GHZ Quad CoreGPU: Nvidia GeForce GT650M 512MBHD: 251GB SSD / 100 GB free. RAM: 8+8GB DDR3 1600MHzwith:Adobe Media Encoder CC (v. 7.2.2.29)I have tried saving locally, to an external Thunderbolt drive, and to our ReadyNAS server with the same issue.Any tips?Regards,Kristian
Merci,Eros.
