Adobe Media Encoder

Hi, I flagged this years ago but its still present within v15 AME. The AS-11 preset, no matter what the start timecode of your sequence, or even if you manually change the timecode within the preset stripes in 09:59:30:00 to the file. We deliver commercials which have a starting timecode of 09:59:50:00 and promotions with 09:59:55:00 starting timecode. No matter what you setting you use, if you export with the AS-11 DPP preset it changes the timecode to 09:59:30:00. Please fix!

Ive been he whole day trying to export a video and its ending alqways like this...im using the version 23.6.2 exporting in H.264 bitrate +20, in 1080*1920.its using hardware aceleration with and nvidia Cuda of 4gFirst i was trying to export it in premiere, qhen it didnt work i tried to sen to Media encoder and it ended up the same way, then I tried to send it to after effects with the adobe dynamic link or just importing the timeline and it didnt work.when I thought it was a problem with the Project I tried using and older project and it ended up the SAME WAY.i uninstall and reinstall the three programs several times, using diferent versions below and none of this have helped.(i think this is a diferent issue, but now when try to open the after effects project it literally instacrashes)Anyone with the same problem? or that knows whats going on? 

when I export video from Adobe PR and AE in mp4 format. It shows the glitchy screen stuck and audio only. I tried cleaning the cache and turning off hardware acceleration but nothing worked. The video size is just 500 kb which is also very strange, it should be around 15 to 20 mb. plzz guide  ...........

I am attempting to export a video about 35 minutes long, in High Quality 2160p 4K and in the H.264 format. I have tried to export twice. The first time, the video appeared to have exported normally (using GPU acceleration), but in playback in VLC media player, and the standard Windows media app ('Films & TV') the video fails halfway through.  The second time, I switched to Software only as the renderer. It took 1/2 the time to export as the first time, and appeared normal, but again failed 3/4 of the way through in playback (note that it failed at a different part of the video). I have exported before with GPU acceleration and all the other same settings, albeit not a video quite as long, in the past, with no issues. How can I fix this? Thank you.

Any idea how to fix this? You can still see the video behind it. 

We have several AME watch folders set up to run automated transcoding for incoming media. Is there a way to set up AME to run as a Windows service so we can avoid running it in the foreground? We are running the latest version of AME. 

Is there any advantage to run a jpg threw media encoder and  have it render a png. is that png goint to offer a better edit excperience i think thee may be an advantage but it could be wishful thinking on my part  topaz has a softwear they claim can produce raw but i wan't impressed i 

i recently upgraded to OSX Catalina (finally) and as such, updated all my Creative Cloud apps (to 2020).  I had issues trying to open Premiere Pro the other day, but eventually after trying a dozen times, it opened.  Now that i've edited my video, Adobe Media Encoder won't open.  it does the "Verifying Adobe Media Encoder" and then just stops.... nothing.  at all.  i eveen tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it.  can anyone point me in the direction of how to make this work?  i really gotta get this project done!

I'm using both the current (24.1.1 build 2) MEdia Encoder as well as the Beta release. I have the same problem in both versions.Mac Studio M1 OS 14.2.1 64gigs of Ram I have 9X16 content that was exported as a 16X9 video with black bars on either side.I want to crop out the black bars of the 16x9 video and have the 9x16 video as a 9x16 video.I was under the assumption that Media Encoder's "Crop Tool" was where I could get this done.When I set the source crop to 9x16, the source window looked as I would expect: 9x16 with no black bars.When I look at the output, the video is still 16X9 with the black bars.The aspect ratio in the "Basic Video Settings" panel still shows 1920x1080 even after I applied the crop.I tried "match source" on and off, I unlinked the width/height, but the 1920x1080 aspect ratio never changed.The ONLY WAY I can get the crop to work is to manually enter the new 9x16 aspect ratio. 608x1080 This can't be how the tool was designed to work. Am I missing somethi

I use Snagit to do video screengrabs on my Mac desktop, and I would like to be able to bring them into Media Encoder to do scaled down versions of them. Snagit, unfortunately, always seems to create an empty audio track 1, plus a stereo audio track 2. When I render out the clip in Media Encoder, it only listens to track 1, so the render comes out silent. Is there any way to get AME to listen to ALL audio tracks when rendering?  I'd rather not have to open it in Premiere first to strip off the empty track. I haven't had any luck with adjusting the render parameters. I'm using Media Encoder 2024 version 24.1.1 (Build 2) on a Mac Mini with OS 13.2.1 Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,I've some H.264 video that has no GPS data, but I'd like add them in post-production during the encoding. In the Media Encoder metadata window there are GPS fields but I'm not able to edit them as you can see in the image:Do you know any tricks to achieve my goal ?I'm working on Adobe Media Encoder 24.11 (build 2) but I've the same problem in Adobe Premiere....Thank you all in advance.Simone

HiWhat are currently the smallest files with alpha that can be created in Media Encoder?I need them as proxy files with alpha in PP. (I know how to make an ingest preset etc.)Many thanks in advance, David EDIT – it should be a very edit-friendly codec 🙂

When "increment output file name if file with same same" is unchecked, and the target file exists, encoding fails. I just finished creating proxies for a project that was shot in 4k anamorphic.Once I created proxies, it does not give me the option to interpret to 1.33.Do I need to interperet all footage before I make the proxies? (its almost 1TB of video and took about 9 hours to encode)I have never worked with anamorphic or proxies before. Thanks for ther help.

Recently I found that premiere pro export via ME results in some error (partial video rendered as stripe patterns). This is resolved by uninstalling ME, then installing it again. But why is this necessary? Doesn't Creative cloud auto update apps anyway? And is there a way to avoid having to reinstall an app? Or at least an indication when I need to do this?

Hello, i have a video with these specs (first picture) but i can't change avc format to mpg4. I tried changing the format from h264 to MPG4 but my video quality drops a lot and aspect ratio changes completely. How can i export or convert video like second picture? 

Hi there, We've had colleagues report issue across both 24.0 & 24.1 (unsure as to whether or not they have tested with 24.1.1 - have chased to clarify) versions of AME. Exports are attempted using a Apple ProRes 422 HQ interlaced profile but fail to complete every time.  My understanding is that users were initially on 24.1 when encountering this issue. Rolling back to 24.0 worked briefly, but has since resulted in the same issues cropping up. The source location of the media is always the /var/folders/ location (which I believe to be the local Mac Storage?).  The consistent error messages we see are 'The Operation was interrupted by the user' - there is no such physical action / interference by colleagues as far as I understand, and whilst they continue to use their respective devices during the export action, the useage should be no more different / extreme than usual where we have never really seen issues like this.  I've next queried if they r

I know it's been asked before. But like many, I find myself in the same situation as those posts. Whether it's on After Effects or Premiere Pro, the project does not show up in the queue. Even if the folder is on the "watch list." Thankfully, the AE version I have can export '.mp4' videos, but sometimes I find myself in the need to export background-transparent videos so I need that '.mov' file to use on Premiere Pro. However, the problem persists with Premiere Pro.But yeah, has this been fixed? I recently updated AME to 24..1.1.  The release notes state that we can now playback and preview audio and video files in the Export Settings.  I can't seem to be able to do that.  Has anyone else been using this feature?  Thanks.

Hello Adobe, whenever converting a .mov file to .mxf using ME 2024 it fails. ME 2023 works but would like to use the latest version of ME. Below is the fail log information. Hi,I just got my hands on a brand new computer, 4Ghz 8 cores i9, and a Rtx 2080 ti. I was expecting the i9 to blow my mind during renders, so I fed him a Vr conversion project.Input is a 360 equirectangular, 5.7K video. Converted using the VR Converter effect, to a 5670 x 1000 h.265 video via media encoder.Thought it would heat up the CPU for a while. However, when I open up the performance tab through windows' task manager, the cpu is running on average at 20%. The Gpu sometimes climbs up to 10% (which does not surprise me since I'm already aware that media encoder doesn't know how to encode using the gpu).What I'm concerned about is the low cpu usage. I thought it would go to 100% and render 4 times faster...Drives don't seem to be a bottleneck. It's a m.2 SSD and i'm not asking to write 1Tb/s, the file ends up around 500Mb.I have tried different input files, different resolutions (in and out) not much change. I also tried without effects, simple "3 videos stitched together", cpu usa
