This seems to be a bug in the latest version of Media Encoder (25.6) No matter what I do, whether it's deleting the preferences folder(s) or reverting the workspace and even try and toggle it with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-1, the Queue window will not show up. I rolled back to base version 25 and the Queue window has returned, so this is particularly odd. Think it's a bug.
For the past 5 updates of MediaEncoder 2025, I've had extremely long export times for basic sequences. For a 1920x1080 sequence around 2:30 exporting to H264, I'm getting export times in excess of 30 minutes. There are no effects, no titles or graphics, just a basic stringout of 1080p clips. The only difference is the updated MediaEncoder. I had one project that after restarting my computer, the render time went back to normal, maybe less than 30 seconds for a similar sequence with titles, lumetri color, and the works. I've tried restarting the computer this time but I'm still getting these extremely slow export times, all this in time with a huge increase in the annual cost of the software. Why do we keep getting huge increases in annual cost while the software gets worse and worse.---------------------------------ME Version 25.6Edition Windows 10 ProVersion 22H2OS Build 19045.6466Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-7900X CPU @ 3.30GHz 3.30 GHzInstalled RAM 64.0 GB (63.7 GB usable)Gra
I'm running low on my C: diskspace. That's not Adobes fault, but I ask myself, why is AME bigger than Ae?... is there a whole Ae and Pr inside? AME should just convert, right? look:
Hello, I recently updated the new version v25 of media encoder and videos that usually export in a few minutes are now taking hours. I am exporting from After effects and have used the same process / settings as previous versions, so dont undertand what is going wrong. Any help would be much appreciated to resolve this. I have attached a screenshot of a current export. Thank you.
Hi all,I'm trying to export a short video on media encoder, under the word status it says warning. The warning says ꜜ. What does this mean? What do I have to do?
If I select multiple sequences to export and specify the range to be Source In to Out this is not communicated to Media Encoder. It works OK on individual files.Additionally if I select all the outputs in the Media Encoder Queue and edit the settings to specify Source In to Out. I get the warning that I am affecting multiple entries, however in fact only one is changed. It works correctly for other settings but not for output range. Hi guy's, If I send anything to media encoder with hardware encoding in the settings while another encoding was happening or another file in the queue The files which I sent in the queue changes it's encoder setting to software encoding. And I can't able to change it hardware encoding again. After the encoding of the previous file completed new file starts to encoding in the software encoding setting. I think it is a bug or something because I can able to encode the files in hardware encoding if I send them one after other and not in queue
I'm dumping a bunch of existing video files into Media Encoder to make them smaller. I'm exporting them to a new, emty folder. I understand that the program wants to avoid overriting existing files, but when there are no files with the same names in the desitnation folder, I don't need the automatic "_1" at the end. Is there a setting in Media Encoder to omit the _1 from the file name?Is there a way to append something else, my own custom text, at the end of a file name? Thanks for any help.
Ae is using project folders AME by default will export into those folders. Whereas the export from Pr --> AME uses the last location that has been set. This is a feature request to have an optional checkbox to set up the destiantion path from Pr --> AME next to the Pr project(thanks ChWard)
While sending files from After Effects to AME (File>Export>Add to AME render queue), the default outputpath for the file is in the actual projectfolder. While sending from Premiere, the defoult path is somewhere from an verry old project. I prefere the way Ae it is doingIs ther a way to change that?
I am creating ProRes 422 Proxy proxies for 4K Sony footage with 8 channel audio. I'll attach these proxies to the master clips in premiere so I can use the toggle proxy function, and so matching the amount of audio channels is important for this.I made a preset with 8 channel audio as discrete tracks (screenshot below), transcoded one clip, and it worked great; got all the audio tracks I needed. So I made a giant queue using that preset for the rest of the raw footage, and after transcoding 8 clips according to the preset perfectly, Media Encoder started transcoding my clips as mono. Mono proxies are useless to me because they won't attach to their 8 channel master clips. Can someone shed some light on how the transcode settings changed in the middle of a queue, despite all of my clips having the same raw footage specs and the same preset assigned? It lost me a lot of time and I would like to avoid this happening again.
adobe always excited to get us to update their apps. yet. their own reps still using CC 2014 . WHY ? WHAT GIVES ???? cause CC2014 as it was the Best ?this is why i hate adobe so much. their own people even hate their updates! caught ya red handed!
Hi, I often record every detail of a project I work on in my "work journal." I want to know if Adobe Media Encoder provides a built-in feature to track render duration and automatically shut down the PC. As far as I know, the render duration is indeed shown while the process is running, but it disappears once the rendering is finished. This way, I can truly leave my PC while rendering without having to start or stop a timer using another application. Thank you.
Hi everyone, I’m running into a reproducible issue with Motion Graphics Templates (MOGRTs) created in After Effects 25.5.These templates contain complex JavaScript Expressions and are saved as .mogrt files in my Creative Cloud Library. Setup:macOS Tahoe 26Premiere Pro 25.5After Effects 25.5Media Encoder 25.5Problem:Inside Premiere Pro, everything works perfectly. The MOGRTs display correctly, preview without issues, and render exactly as expected. However, as soon as I send the sequence to Adobe Media Encoder, the MOGRT layers are rendered incorrectly or completely broken. Some elements disappear, shift, or lose their expression-driven logic. What I’ve already tried:Cleared all media caches (AE, Premiere, AME)Switched renderer between Mercury Playback Engine (GPU Metal) and Software OnlyDisabled hardware encodingSaved the MOGRTs locally instead of from the CC LibraryTested multiple export codecs (H.264, QuickTime Apple ProRes, DNxHR, etc.)Enabled “Import Sequences Natively”
I do a lot of video editing/creation in After Effects and then I export to Media Encoder to render. For the last few months (I'm presuming after an update) I can no longer send files to media encoder!I've tried sending to the Render Queue and then the AME and also direct from AE (file > export > media encoder). 99% of the time Media Encoder opens up but nothing appears in the queue. On the rare occassion it does make it to the render queue in AME I can't actually render it... It says that it can't connect to the dynamic server. I've uninstalled both pieces of software and reinstalled but that didn't help...I'm using macOS Ventura Version 13.5.2After Effects Version 24.0.1 (Build 2)Media Encoder Version 24.0 (Build 54)Thanks
Windows 10Intel Core i7 10750HGeforce RTX 2070 Super
Hey there, Have had a look through the forms and couldn't find any solve for this but I'm having troubles adding files to the Media Encoder Queue. I don't get an error or any signs of loading, it just seems like both programs fail to connect.Mac system: 15.6 (24G84)After Effects version: 25.5.0Media Encoder Version: 25.5Trial and error log: -Reinstalled both applications-started Media Encoder and AE after-Adding an AE file manually using the "+" icon results in an endless loading loop, as if the 2 can not connect-Saved AE file under different name and location-Uninstalled any betThings to consider:-AE render queue is working as intended-Im viewing the queue tab in Media Encoder-Adding to Media Encoder through Premiere works fine.Any help would be appreciated as this is needed for a current project where I need to dynamically render different versions of the same comp and doing it through the render queue has proven to be quite tedious.
Problem Converting an audio file from any format to MP3, including MP3 to MP3, AME removes some embedded metadata and alters others. Environment macOS Sequioa 15.7.1 (but has been occuring for several versions of macOS now) Adobe Media Encoder 2025 (25.5 Build 13), 2024 (24.6.5 Build 3), 2023, and all versions from the last 3 years at least Steps to Reproduce 1. Create an audio file (examples below use WAV and 320 Kbps MP3) 2. Complete the audio file's metadata using Adobe Audition or a third-party metadata editor (Kid3 shown below, but confirmed results in four other metadata editors, including Adobe Audition) 3. Add the file to Adobe Media Encoder's Queue directly, or via a Watched Folder 4. Set conversion options to be some type of MP3 5. Start the queue and wait for it to finish 6. Examine the output MP3 in a metadata editor. Result The ID3v2 Picture/Album Art field will be stripped away completely. The ID3v1 Genre field will be reset to "Blues", which is not the first choi
I’m stumped. When I test my movie in Animate, it ends on completion. But the Media Encoder always stops short a few seconds before the end. (about 4100 frames). Any suggestions?Thx
Buenas.
Add XAVC LongGOP support (422/10BPP) for DCI 4K (as for UHD 3840) - MainConcept supports it already but no plugin option exists. The larger Intra codec is fine for some purposed but not all. Going out to other tools for delivery when the LongGOP is needed at DCI isn't ideal.
In Windows 10 22H2 I can't uninstall Media Encoder 2025. I uninstalled all my Adobe products except Reader. The Media Encoder is still in my start menu and active. But is not listed in Windows 10 as installed. It's irritating because occasionally I tap it and boom three windows open I need to kill. And it logs me in to the Cloud and trys to get me to purchase it. None of the Windows methods for uninstall work. When I used the old Control Panel it said an error occured and would I like it removed from the Start Menu. The 'Yes' did nothing. I no longer subscribe to any products so have no access to support.Anyone have any ideas?
I have a QuickTime MOV file that has an embedded EIA-608 caption track. I need to convert it to a format our broadcast servers can play (XDCAM MXF OP1a with embedded captions). Added the file to AME (with the "include captions on import" flag enabled). This would be the easiest solution for transcoding. AME does not recognize the caption stream. It recognizes the video and audio and exports those just fine. Just no caption track. As a test, I tried importing the file to Premiere Pro and it recognized the caption track just fine (and displays correctly in every part of PPro). I'm wondering if there is some setting I am missing in AME, or whether media encoder is just not working properly. I don't want the workaround of having to import to PPRO every time. I just need AME to transcode in a watch folder, or via drag-and-drop. I can provide access to the assets, upon request, for analysis. PPRO VER: 25.5.0AME VER: 25.5 Thank you
Hi everyone,I’m experiencing hangs between Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder (AME). I already reinstalled, updated, and cleared caches, but the issue persists.- What happens:I send a sequence from Premiere Pro to AME.- AME starts rendering, then randomly stalls.- Progress stops and, in Windows Task Manager, AME drops to 0% CPU.- If I close Premiere Pro, AME immediately resumes and continues rendering.-Sometimes just clicking the AME window or switching focus makes it resume for a while, then it stalls again.-Exporting directly from Premiere sometimes works, but sending to AME is unreliable. What I’ve tried: -Changed Project Settings > Renderer. It was initially stuck on “None” with a tooltip saying the playback engine was active; after stopping playback and restarting I could change it, but the problem remains.-Toggled GPU acceleration on/off in both Premiere and AME.-Cleared Media Cache in both apps and deleted the folders manually.-Reset Premiere and AME preferences (
