When I add two video files located on a NAS that is mounted in windows 10 as a network drive, I am able to set it with my parameters but when I click the play button to begin conversion it never changes from Ready. When I right-click to stop it, it confirms that I'd like to stop the process or let it continue. Further in the bottom panel, it changes to the black bar like it's starting to load, but no text shows up and the Ready status does not change. This happens when the export location is both on a local machine and on the NAS. The source files are too large to copy off the NAS due to time constraints so they reside on there.
Hi guys, I've got 3hrs long film to export, left it overnight as it was showing 12hrs remaining and woke up to AME stuck after 2hrs of exporting. It's not frozen, but also the times are not changing. Any ideas? Thank you.
Hi currently I'm facing random green frame issues on my Adobe Media encoder v14. 2 and I can't find any fix/answer anywhere. The problem started after I imported effects or graphics inside the project. It was fine when I do a preview in Premiere after the editing and issues that happened once encoded by AME.If I do rendering in premiere and save local as MXF. Then reimport to premiere, after that export to AME means no issues.I already formatted my MAC and reinstalled adobe but the problem still persists. The green flickers affect my daily operation and please assist to solve this issue https://www.dropbox.com/s/ogcf4wwqu0hl64r/ND_040322_STLPLAYINREPUB.mp4?dl=0https://www.dropbox.com/s/29jzogj0n2f5qsj/040322_GREEN%20GLITCH.mp4?dl=0
how do I get the ENCODING window UNDER the QUEUE window so I can see the file name on top and the convert window on the bottom at the same time. Thanks.
If I use Media Encoder to convert a .mov file to .mp4 it exports with consistent glitches. I know I can use Handbrake instead, but this is also a huge issue when trying to work with .mov files in Premiere Pro I have software/drivers fully updated to current releaseSystem:AMD Ryzen 9 3900X64 RAMGeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8gbWindows 10 Pro
I have upgraded to a new M1 Macbook Pro and have experienced multiple issues with Adobe Media Encoder failing or not even starting when exporting via After Effects. This comes and goes but has resulted in me having to reinstall the app multiple times to get it to work. I am always using updated software and feel that for the price I pay there should be better reliability from this application. Are others experience AME being a real pain at the moment with M1? HiI have not been able to render using Adobe Media Encoder for several months now with the error message below. From AE it's not possible to do "add to Adobe Media Encoder" via the menu, I can only get the file to appear in AME using the Queue in AME button in the Render Queue, however I then can't render it and it shows the yellow exclamation mark error message (below). There are many suggestions from people with this problem, however none of these workarounds have solved my issue (delete cache, remove plugins, change permissions). I am on Big Sur 11.6/AE and AME 22.11 and the problem started after my last update to a newer AE back in October.Any suggestions? - Source File: /Users/kathrinkur/Desktop/video/EJT/ejt4_AME/tmpAEtoAMEProject-no6_butterfly 2_5.aep- Output File: /Users/kathrinkur/Desktop/no6_butterfly 2.mp4- Preset Used: Match Source - High bitrate- Video:- Audio:- Bitrate:- Encoding Time: 00:00:0010/28/2021 01:17:22 PM : Encoding Failed-----------------------------------
Hi,I'm converting MTS files to H.264 (mp4) but with most of the converted video's the audio stops halfway.I put my presets to "identical source - High bitrate speed".Am I doing something wrong? Can someone help me out? Lots of thanks!Lee

Hello, not able to find a conclusive answer to this online so I thought I'd ask here. I work with a team and our typical workflow is to render out comps as Apple ProRes 4444 QT files, then use AME to encode mp4s. The reason for this is the unreliable performance of the Dynamic Link function. It simply does not work correctly on a frequent enough basis compared to AE's render queue, even with our short, not-very-complex animations (typically less than 30 sec at HD resolution). I'd like to know, when a comp is dynamically linked from AE to AME, then rendered, does AME first render the comp to a lossless format before encoding, or as it's encoding? I'd like our team to try and use Dynamic Linking more, but there are concerns about color fidelity and effects rendering. Can you shed some light on what exactly happens during the process?
Hello,I have exported the same video twice, but with the number of mbits/s reduced in the second (from 2.8 to 1.1).The size of the export is drastically reduced, from 71 Mo to 28 Mo, but I cannot see any obvious change in quality. What does the amount of mbits/s change? Is it then worthwhile to export all my videos with the amount of mbits/s reduced? Thanks!

I have multiple video files 1920x1080 with AC3 audio that I need to transcode down to preview quality of 480x360 with AAC audio. The files will transcode, but with no audio, and I see in the log file that it does not look like it is able to decode the AC3 audio. I loaded additonal audio codes so that Windows Media player will now playback the files natively on windows, but I am still getting the error in the log and the files still do not have any audio. I am working on Media Encoder version 22, and have loaded Vokoder and even purchsed an AC3 license from Minnetonka Audio. Any thoughts? Here is the error in the Media Encoder log file: <AME.WatchFolder> <5> Add E:\SalesbridgeIn\2220179.mpg to mIncomingNewFiles <AME.WatchFolder> <5> E:\SalesbridgeIn\2220179.mpg is completely copied, size=46029920 <windowsmediafoundation.MFReader.ConfigureClientAudioType> <5> Error: No suitable transform was found to encode or
Hello,I have a problem with rendering QuickTime Appleres .mov files. Every single video render gives me:"Unable to write XMP data to the output file." I have tried different options of saving XMP files and custom values....but it doesn't work. Is there a way to solve this issue? I delivered wav audio files to a client who is installing them in a device. They play fine on their computers but when played on the device there is noise at the end of the recording. Their engineers have deternmined there is unneeded XML data at the end of the file generating the noise. Is there a way or setting to correct this and, I suppose, remove or save without this XML data? Thanks. RobKree84 ever!
Hello everyone.I usually work with xdcam mxf 8ch: I need to export in mp4 with channels 3-4 of the mxf as a stereo audio for mp4.In premiere is easy but a bit complex. When I try to do it in AME (it would be perfect for me using watchfolders), the mp4 has the first 2 channels of the mxf.Episode from Telestream was my first choice, but now it's discontinued. Is there a way to do it in AME?Thanks in advance!
I am trying to render a spot i created in after effects to media encoder. The file renders then hits a spot where it says it can no produce the frame. If I go into AE the frame previews just fine at full resolution, and I can render that frame range out to any number of outputs from the render queue inside AE. But Media encoder no matter what I do will not render this section. I am so beyond frustrated with Adobe at this point. Please fix your software.
Hey I am trying to export a 18 min video and I export with media encoder to use my rtx 3080 to encode. At the last 10 seconds of encoding it stops using my gpu and switches to cpu and takes another 20 min to finishing the encoding. Why is it doing this? And how do I fix it? I am using i9 12th gen, an rtx 3080 and Media Encoder version 2022
Just like in the lower left corner of the first image, this video has an alpha channel. And I don't have this problem if I render directly from Premiere pro, I beg you all to help me...
I have a comp in After Effects with a lot of layers and effects applied to its nested compositions, basically it's a generative abstract pattern, no video footage there, everything is generated inside AE. The final parent composition is a pretty heavy in effects comp, that I output to 4K@60fps video. It renders well in preview in AE.But when I render it in AME, the resulting video has random flickering frames. When I find those specific flickering frames on video I see that those frames contain only part of the effects applied, or only a specific nested composition ignoring masks or blending modes or parent effects, etc. (no specific pattern, all of those problems randomly). When I find those exact frame in AE — I do not see those problems. So it's obviously a AME rendering problem. Does anyone encountered that kind of a problem? Any solution to that?My system:AE 22.2.0AME 22.2 (I also tried 22.1.1, the same result)MacBook Pro 2019 with macOS 12.1
Hi all, what would you say are the best export settings for creating a high quality compressed 4K or UHD video file, i.e. something for upload or easy playback by a client? HEVC (H.265) with Match Source - High Bitrate? Thanks!
On one of our Windows 10 workstations, Adobe Media Encoder is not exiting properly, and as a result won't relaunch. If you end the task in Task Manager or restart the computer, then AME will launch again. Currently our workaround is to either leave AME open all the time, or to kill in Task Manager if it gets stuck. However both are less than ideal. Some troubleshooting info:Tested in CC 2021 and CC 2022Have not been able to replicate on another workstationReinstalled AMECleared caches & preferences
Is it possible to create error logs every 24 hours and keep for 7 days? We had a recent issue where we had to restart the PC and the logs only showed since the restart. Not sure is they get overwritten on a reboot.
Last year when Adobe After Effects 2022 and Media Encoder launched, I couldn't get anything to render from Media Encoder, it either refused to even show up in Media Encoder or outright wouldn't even progress with rendering after spending a long time connecting to the dynamic link server. Now, neither work. 2021 won't receive files and 2022 receives files (Sometimes) and won't even render them out. I have been staring at this damn bar on and off all afternoon and I've restarted my computer twice.
Hello guysI'm posting here as I can't seem to find any workaround to the below. I am trying to render a 19s corporate christmas animation -menaing I'm already on a tight deadline. For some reason Adobe Media Encoder, and After Effects, always get stuck on 00:08:17, and getting Error code: -1609629695I have tried removing effects, then layers, one at a time, to see what was causing the issue, but not matter what I do, it's always the same.I have tried changing the renderer to Mercury settings, using the GPU, CPU, exporting to MOV first, redoing the whole piece. NOTHING.I'm using the latest version of AFX, I even tried using the previous one, and the previous before that. My computer is an iMac Pro (2017), 3.2 GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon W, 32 GB 2666 MHz DDR4, and Radeon Pro Vega 56 8 GB I've been using AFX since 2007, and this particular computer for 2 years, and never ever have I seen something like this. Here's the latest error I got last night
