Hello fellows, I've edited a lot in Premier back in 2015 to 2017. I was on Premier CC of the time. I need to do a few things again but am confused about the new keyboard layout option in Premier Pro 14.5 (sorry for the iphone pick, can't manage to take a screenshot while this setting is opened..) I'm using a keyboard which is this. I justed realized now this "Before 2017" mention on the manufacturor's website (I bought my skin in 2015). Essentially, I'm trying to match my settings to my Keyboard skin. I noticed quite a few changes for shortcuts: Lift, Extract, Overwrite, Insert Is their a Legacy Keyboard Layout Preset, corresponding to UK pre 2017, I can download somewhere? Thanks, Alexandre

Hello Illustrator gurus, Freshman question here. I'm working on a little fun illustration of the Egyptian Sphinx with a mask on... I've drawn a sphinx with the pen tool and am using the Transform Effect (Reflect X) to mirror the shape symmetrically. My challenge is basic. The "crown" horizontal lines are individual paths I drew. They are not connected in any way with the contour. I tried using the Join Tool but it’s not doing what I want. When using its removing another part of the path to join. How can I do this ? Thanks,

Hello, Actually what I see in my Activity Monitor as "Adobe Desktop Services" is not related to the "Adobe Creative Cloud" desktop app I have. My Desktop app is set to not to launch at login and not to update apps. Still when its shut down, I get the "Adobe Desktop Services" eating my RAM This goes back to my initial question: 1. What does Adobe Desktop Services do? 2. Is there a way to shut this thing by default?

Ok, I think the problem I'm having is that holding shift does not have the expected effect. When I click Shift I see the tool name (at the bottom of my window) going from "Direct Selection Tool" to Toggle Selection Tool. I'm not sure this is what I need to group move those anchor points.

Hello Illustrator gurus. I've got a simple two A4 Artboard file of my CV which I designed. Document is in CMYK. I'd like to try some other colors on a few elements that are currently gray but I'm confused with a few things in Recolor Artwork. The first thing is I've two grays which are slightly different. See screenshot. One is #646463 and the other is now #666665. I've tried numerous times changing the second one to match the first one but it doesn't want to change. Any clues? Secondly for the black color, I've got two colors within that line. One dark black and one tinted black. Any clue why both those colors are with the same bar? Finally, it says "Current Colors 8" but I can only count 7. Any clues? I've tried

Hello fellows, As my MacBook Pro fans have been running like crazy, I've looked into my Activity Monitor on what is happening. I've seen the "Adobe Desktop Services" is eating up 320Mb of my mem. I don't even know what Desktop services do. Is there a way to shut this thing by default and lunch the individual apps from the Dock? Thanks,

Hello designers, Quick questions about the "Export for Screens" or the other export options in Illustrator v24 I've got my resume / CV designed on two Artboards, each Artboard is one standard A4 page. I don't really print this for people by I do send it as a PDF attachment in emails and what not. When I export via the "Export for Screens" I can select the PDF format. However, it exports me two files, one for each Artboard. Up to now I've been doing an extra step, of open these in Preview (Apple) to combine the pages into one PDF file. Is there a way to export my two Artboards directly into a 2 paged PDF?

Hello people, So I'm working on a shape here for which I was able to separate the circles with live paint in order to make independent slices/bits. An error of manipulation I've deleted one of the shapes (visible now in white as there is no color, center circle bottom right). How would I go and regenerate a slice in this white area as so to be able to fill in with a color? Thanks you.

Hello AI pros, I'm redesigning my CV on Illustrator and got into a little challenge. I've got rectangles shapes stack next to each other. I can see that the size/height of the 2nd row rectangles are smaller than the rest. I want to simply adjust all my shapes to have a matching height. Is there a way to simple adjust the height so that it matches to the 1st rectangle (top left) ? Or must I need to copy/past the first and work with modifying this one? Thanks

Hello, I've made a shape with the Pen and Ellipse tools. Essentially my shape is composed of lines and circles. Three circles of different shapes lying on each other and four lines separating the circles. I would like to make each empty/background area independent from one another in order to be able to fill them with gradients independently. As a result I would end up with 3x8 shapes. I believe there is a way to convert the inter area of different paths into one solid shape. Perhaps that would be the approach. Below is the outline view. Thank you ! PS. How can I make sure my horizontal and vertical crosshair is actually perfect?

Hello there ! I've got a document I designed for print. It's 447mm x 213mm, 2 pages in 2 spreads. This corresponds to 3 x A5 paper side by side. Hello, I followed the stops in the HelpX post. This is what I get when installing CC Libraries. I tried opening Indesign to see if the Library pannel works. I get a new message. "Something went wrong..." I then tried the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool CC Libraries in not showing up in the table when we can select what to clean.

I'm on OS 10.12.6 AI 23.11 I believe my file was created in a slightly earlier version using some Type Kit fonts. Have you found any fix for this ? Hello, So I'm thinking to change plans to go to a Photography plan as I don't use much of the other apps. However, in my Plan Management window, there is no button to change plan. Hey Rob, Ahh, ok I managed to do the align the spreads. I hadn't realized earlier I could grab page 1. I was trying to grab page 2 and move the entire spread left... Regarding transparency and PDF/X-1a and transparency. I see exactly what you mean. I had that exact issue the last year where the transparency did not show up in the printed proof. The printing company requires PDX/X-1a so to go around the issue, I use 100 % opacity of those elements but I reduce their opacity previously in a separate Illustrator document. It works perfectly and the desired effect is achieved on the printed proof. Thanks !

Hey Rob, Thanks for the comments. So I opened my file today and I can see that a few of your suggestions are on the document. It's possible when I was doing the changes to try Derek's method, it corrected some of the weirdness. I've set up my ruler to be per page and start on the left. Indeed, I can see that the pages are trimmed at equal width. Also, my pages are no more set up as a gatefold but are correctly aligned to the spine. Regarding the artworks alignment on the left. The blue line you see and show in the screenshot is not the bleed end line. It is the artwork box line. I can actually extend that further out and it won't affect the artwork size. I think I did that as a "just to be safe" thing... But I can definitely have the box end at the bleed mark. Regarding reader spreads and printer spreads, I didn't know about the differences. Thanks for point that out. I'm very sure that with the printing company I'm working with (rather cheaper online service), I should be sending them a printer-ready PDF as much as possible. Currently, this is my document set up. I can see in your example, that you have Start Page No 2 and Facing Pages ticked on. Why would I start at page 2 ? I tried ticking "Facing Pages", this is what I get. The spreads go in gatefold and are not aligned to the spine anymore. So I tried doing your suggestion: "Select all the pages in the Pages panel and uncheck Allow Selected Spreads to Shuffle and Allow Document Pages to Shuffle from the panel flyout. Then in the panel you can move the spread to the spine:" It doesn't work. Here is my page panel settings. I've unchecked "Allow Document Pages to Shuffle" and "Allow Selected Spread to Shuffle". Yet I can't align the spreads to the spine. I can move pages' order, but that gate fold structure stays the same. Regarding RGB and CMYK. I didn't understand the full complexity of the issue. What I can say is that when I export I select. Color Conversion: Convert to Destination (Preserve Numbers) Destination: Document CMYK - Coated FOGRA 39. Should I be worrying about something regarding color ?
