Is it possible to add objects to an existing opacity mask without: 1. releasing the mask 2. adding the new object to the group, and 3. reapplying the mask?

Using layers would imply having multiple shapes, wouldn't it? I'm trying to create complex effects using a single compound shape.

Thanks, Monika! Grouping the shape along the way seems like the best solution to keep things simple and avoid redundant effects. But it seems that after I group the shape once and apply an effect, I cannot group it again unless I create some arbitrary transparent shape inside the original shape. Do you know what I mean? I wonder if there's any way around that.

Let's say I want to create the effect shown here: a yellow fill with a bold black outline, and then a Block Shadow effect, and then a blue outline around the whole thing. The way I currently achieve this is by creating a new black fill under the yellow fill, then applying the Offset Path and Block Shadow effects to the black fill, and then I duplicate that entire fill and change the fill color to blue before adding a Pathfinder:Add effect and the final Path:Offset Path effect. My question is: is it necessary to duplicate the first Offset Path and Block Shadow effect before I can apply the blue Offset Path effect to the entire effect? Or is there a better, more efficient way of applying a new effect to the entire series of effects thus far?

I'm still pretty new to Premiere Pro. I'm going to be making a series of video ads for a client, and each one will have the same logo bumper at the end. The logo bumper includes the logo graphic, a background image, and some sound effects. How should I organize these files on my computer? Should I: 1. Have each ad be its own project, and duplicate the logo bumper files in each one 2. Have each ad be its own project, and make the logo bumper ad its own project, and import it into each ad 3. Have only one project, and each ad and the logo bumper would be sequences within that main project file

I don't want to move the clip; I want to shift the contents of the clip inside the clip container without moving the position of the container on the main timeline.

I have some background music that I would like to divide into loopable chunks of 9 seconds each. Once I have one 9-second chunk isolated, is there an easy way to shift (slip) the audio track exactly 9 seconds to get to the next chunk? My current process is to put a marker at the end of the clip, then go to Speed/Duration, unlink the speed and duration, set the duration to 18 seconds, and then move the left side of the clip to the marker. Is there an easier way?

Never mind; I found the answer on YouTube. Right click on the sequence name, select Modify > Audio Channels, and uncheck the left and right audio tracks.

I'm pretty new to Premiere Pro. I've created a new Sequence containing a short animation about three seconds long with no audio. I plan to use it in multiple projects. Over in my main video timeline, I dropped the animation sequence in, and it overwrote my background music track with silence for the duration of the animation. Where did that silent audio track come from? How do I tell Premiere not to bother trying to import audio from it? Do I need to open it in the Source Monitor first and manually drag it in as video only? I don't think that would even work, as double-clicking the Sequence just opens it in the timeline instead of the Source Monitor. Should I have created the animation as a Subsequence instead? That doesn't seem to make any difference.

I just encountered this bug as well. Turning off the increment option results in the export failing. I'm on a Mac using Premiere Pro 24.5.0.

I downloaded a stock video clip from the web that was a 1.5 GB .mov file. I wanted to make reduce the file size, so I cropped the video in Adobe Media Encoder, and exported it as a .mp4 file. It seemed to work great, as the file size went down to 64 MB. But when I drop it into my Premiere Pro project, it gets to the point where I cropped it and shows a "frame substitution recursion" error. Is this a bug, or did I do something wrong?

No, I'm not sure what that is, but maybe I have something similar installed. Are you suggesting this is NOT what Intel Macs on Sonoma do for everyone? It definitely started happening after installing Sonoma, and it happens in every Adobe application.

So I'm sure everyone using Sonoma on an Intel Mac has noticed all their tool palettes drag like molasses now. My question is: is there likely to be a fix for this, or do I need to either roll back my OS or buy a new computer? It is becoming unbearable. Video of the problem: https://youtu.be/x_OcYGzH7GE

I have a real simple problem: I have a form with a radio button group called "Membership Status". The two options are "Member" and "Non-Member". When "Member" is selected, I want to change the values of a set of global variables one way, and when "Non-Member" is selected, I want to change the values another way. Where do I put this code (e.g., as a Javascript action on each separate radio button option, on a document Javascript, etc), and what's the syntax to get me started?

When you hold down Option and drag an existing gradient stop, Photoshop should duplicate the stop and drop it wherever you release the mouse button. Instead, it duplicates the stop and drops it at location 0%. This is Photoshop 25.1.0 on macOS 13.5.2.

This bug still isn't fixed in Photoshop 25.0.0. I'm so tired of having to zoom in and out to get the image to reappear. Also, I cannot uncheck "30 Bit Display" because it's grayed out.

This video looks like it might be just the thing, but I can't read the menus to know what he's selecting! I tried running a screenshot of his Appearance palette through Google's image translator, but it didn't really help: Maybe he knows some English and can reply to my comment, but otherwise... does anyone here speak Japanese?
