Well, at this point I hope Animate wont suffer the other Adobe's software fate and keep a minimun support to be alive for severql years. Animate is not going to be replaced by a similar Adobe's app and it serves multiple players in media industry. I've working in Animate sonce 2000 and in Toon Boom since 2005 and I can say that Animate would be my main animation app until macos or windows stop supporting it. I mean, Harmony is far more advanced than Animate since 15 years ago, I dont feel the rush to switch now to other software beyond The big problem wich is dropping support in future OS support (future windows ARM, future macOS RISK) More even when so many people is animating yet in 2025 with Flash CS6 . As I said, Harmony is different and serves me for other purposes, but Animate of Flash would be my everyday tool while I can run them in my computer

🥹 too beautifuyl to be true Now that we are dreaming, can you imagine it comes JUST with one major feature: All Bugs Fixed (BTW why Character Animator is still in development!? cartoon AI filters would surpass CA obsolete technology as soon as GPU could do the render locally.)

Hi, I tried deactivating the AI lens filter with the automatic sync, and activating it again results in Lightroom reprocessing the AI (around 70 minutes for 642 24.2MB RAW pics in a Mac Studio M1 Max) I'd like to toggle on/off so I can further edit the pics at regualr speed, and toggle the filter for all pics at the end, is it possible?

HI! I'm having exactuly the same problem. I have 3 monitors, all hardware calibrated, Im very aware of display profiles and so on, not new at printing or color spaces either, something wrong hapend few months ago when I updated to Sonoma 14.5 AND at the same time, the latest Adobe software, Animate, AE, Ai and Ph. Mac Studio M1 Max. Colors are very saturated in all Adobe apps except when tools trigger the GPU (as liquid Brush in Animate) then the colors show OK for while rawing, as soon as you stop drawing, colros back to saturated version. I've tried a lot of things, none works. Please help!

this is my current workflow, I did an App in Automator so I just dreag the Images to that and this creates a copy or just replaces the original (have 2 apps) in the Finder's toolbar , sadly the default HEIC quality with this system is around 80% and this makes HEIC files a little too much compressed for me... when compared to the 100% HEIC or 90% from Preview.app the difference is notable The process is super conveninet as it takes 1 move converting all the images you want, and the process is in the background, but the quality is so so. At the end, the best worklfow to me is render to PNG 16-bit fom LR, then open them in Preview.app and export to HEIC ~95% quality, I store this way discarted pics form photoshootings in a nice quality at small disk size. I keep the RAW for the good ones and deleted from disk the discarted. Another problem is Preview.app is saving HEIC at 8-bit

the plugin looks great, you jsut need to donload from here: https://github.com/milch/LRExportHEIC/releases/tag/v1.0.8 Problems are: you must you change the extension after the process and Ph and doesnt recognize the file, Mediinfo shows the file as heix format (I believe that is HEIC-10bit). Only way I find to open this HEIC in Ph is open it with Preview.app, make some change, undo it and close and then Ph recognizes it as it now is 8-bit HEIC... after doing so Mediainfo also shows heic file format (8-bit) So Ph sems not to be compatbile with 10 bit heic (neither do Lr) PhotoAI opens it and save it as original heic

Well, indeed Animate runs under Rosetta 2 but the performance is far from being optimal, and if you are working with a retina display the performance is horrible. Is worst than a 10-12 years old laptop. So can you work with Animate in Apple Silicon Macs? yes. would it be better than your 7 years old computer? NO Only difference is RAM, you can take advantage of more RAM in the newer system (I could copy larger amount of layers in the 64GB MacS than in the 16GB rMBP). But if you can upgrade your old system's RAM, that would be the best option for Animate yet.

Hi, it seem though MP4 accepts embed metadata as chapters/episods, no pro sumer software suppports it (though you can see chapters in .MOV and .MP4 in Quicktime X, VLC, ETC...) .MOV and .MKV are best for embed chapters. I know little about MKV and Adobe support for .MOV is quite limited in Mac, I guess there is even more limited in Windows. But the most "common" way to use chapters is with ProRess in Windows. In Mac you can add chapters also to H265 using FinalCut or Compressor.

Hi, same problem here, AE was so so under Rosetta, the Apple Silicon version was great at the first releases, now is unusable. I tried deleting cahce and anything I could think, but the latest version is just unusable. REnders are super fast, but the perfomance with th program is very poor, slow previews, black composition panel...

Someone is having a lot of fun in Adobe about this weird decision of not offering custom zoom, the soft obviously can, the users obviously need it, every all other soft offers it, so only conclusion is a very old and very grumpy exec is blocking it. Waiting for the ghost of the past Xmast.

well, while this is true in some sceneraios, there are others where render time estimated can be pretty acurate. As a example my workflow in Final Cut involves several default effects and transitions, but also third party plugins, and the estimated time in Compressor is super acurate. If it says 13 hours, it will be 13 hours. (Compressor neither calculates estimated time for a batch of renders, just the current one)

Hi, tha's weird, I have Mojave and this works for me: Possible Workaround: If you have confirmed that AE got switched to App Nap when there is active rendering in render queue. Here are the steps to shut down the App Nap feature entirely. Note this will shut down App Nap not only for AE, but for all application. 1. Open Terminal 2. Type in "defaults read NSGlobalDomain NSAppSleepDisabled ". It should return '0' indicates App Nap is enabled. 3. Disable it by typing in "defaults write NSGlobalDomain NSAppSleepDisabled -bool YES" 4. Type in "defaults read NSGlobalDomain NSAppSleepDisabled ". It should return '1' as App Nap is disabled in step 3.

Hi, I know AIR is not super popular for games development in the market as it has some problems related to resources consumption, but I've worked on some and with the actual resources in modern Smartphones they run pretty fast… not to mention they are one of the best multiplatform/device option as vector graphics scale and can be view perfect on a scrren no matter the resolution... BUT I'm wondering if Apple (Android I guess don't care about this…) has some kind of contempt about AIR Apps, as I'm worried they never enter in the Apple Design Awards, and wondering if anyone here know something about this. Thanks

Hi, I'm on version 16.1.3, when screen goes to sleep, rendering to frames would make the render x3 slower, but having the screen active, even using th computer would make it faster, as soon as I lock screen render start again to goe slower, between x2 and x3 slower...
