Adobe XD

For a few days now I've been unable to successfully update the assets in one of my project files.  The count of updated assets displayed in my project file is correct and keeps going up as I continue to make changes in the library file. I have restarted CC and updated to the latest version of XD, and updated both files to the most recent XD version as well.  

My blue share button on all my Adobe XD documents is missing. I've updated the app. How do I get it back?

Hey all, I have a question about designing for iOS devices in prototyping apps/software like Sketch, Adobe XD, etc. When you make a new document and select the size for your projects (or artboards), iOS mobile devices start at 375px in width. My question is how do you treat your designs in an odd number space when using even-numbered elements and spacing while respecting Apple's guidelines and the safe area? Here's an example of what I'm trying to ask.  Each square is 40px x 40px with a 10px gutter between each square. If you want to touch the left and right safety margins, and group all and scale proportionally, you end up either with the squares or gutter spaces varying in width by 1px. How would you design this row so that it scales up for devices with the squares and gutters all being equal and also the layout working with the margins?

Is there a way to export text from xd to ms word programmatically?I found on Adobe XD Platform how to export to .txtНow to do the same for the .doс file?

I am desperate - Adobe XD crashed today and when I wanted to open and log in again, all my cloud files were gone! It only shows me my local files. I also don't see any cloud files in my Account when I log in via web anymore.Help - I need all my work!! Best, Desiree 

Hi, I have made my overlay however I am wondering if I can add interaction to it. For example can I add states in the overlay? When I make a component out of the form and try and add states - they don't work in the preview. Thanks.

Hi Adobe and others, Device - Macbook Pro 15 inch 2019 Model - 2.3 GHz i9 version with Radeon Pro 560XOS -  macOS Catalina 10.15   Adobe XD version -  28.8.12.1Creative Cloud Sync - 4.3.42.4I'm attaching a video to show what's happening. When I'm trying to rename any component I double click it and the screen flashes. However, it doesn't happen with all the components. Moreover, I tried renaming it using the right click > rename but no success. It enters in the rename mode flashes and gets back.   {Renamed By MOD}

Hi, so this issue has been brought up already (here) and marked as solved, although I don't consider it solved at all, because having to reboot the software to unfreeze basic features is hardly ideal (and it brought up other issues such as this). To recap: the Undo / Redo feature becomes unusable (greyed out) suddenly and there is no recourse except rebooting the software. The weird thing is that I just noticed something and I think it's linked to the Undo / Redo freeze: sometimes an item will rotate a bit, apparently by the same amount (6 degrees) and apparently of its own accord. When I realise this I obviously think I touched something by mistake and try to UNDO, only to discover it's frozen again. I know, super weird, but the two behaviours seem to be connected. This has happened to me several times over the last few days and it can't be a coincidence.I'm on Big Sur, latest XD and using a Wacom Bamboo.   

Hi, I am a recent beginner with XD so unsure of its full scope. I am prototyping an entertainment service, and ideally want to prototype the process of a user purchasing their virtual ticket to an event (on one artboard), and that event then populates itself in another artboard (i.e. a 'my tickets' page). This is a broad overview but if anyone knows if and how this can be done in XD, it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance! 

Hey AdobeIm working with Adobe XD for 2 Years now - 10hours a night - and there is still no option to add dark mode, netherless the feature got over 3000 requests. Please dont make my eyes go bad and add a dark mode - this is a serious health risk we are facing here - at least give us the option to modify the files by ourself if your team cant do it. For me - a programmer - this task would take like 10 hours and we are done. Hire me if you need help, Best Regards

The latest (Nov 5th 19) release of Xd has automatically re-ordered my full components list (which was manually grouped into types for ease of use) of about 200 components.   <The Title was renamed by moderator>

I am creating a large manual and wish to imbed 14 links to pdf documents throughout the document. I recently purchased XD and it appears the only thing it can do is make PDFs. I followed the instructions to set up a link, save my document and when it reopens it's gone. Can anyone suggest ways to create links to documents? OR, is it possible to convert a WORD document that has embedded documents into a PDF where the embedded links continue to function?Appreciate the help! 

When I'm naming my components/assets, the names don't save unless I press enter on my keyboard.  I can't tab to the next one to name it, and I can't click outside the box or it loses the name & reverts to whatever is default. The way I work means I add a few components at once, then name them all - not being able to tab through to name them is really annoying.

When I paste the appearance of one text element to another, and then Undo the action, the text gets its previous style back, plus a 1px solid black border.  

After opening file assumes to load its content but document remains uninteractable even after the loading bar completes.  The document then remains suspended and won't even close when prompted; must force close Adobe XD in the task manager for the document to *maybe* load and eventually function.

Hello, I don't understand, I can't create a new document, here is the window that appears when I launch Adobe XD: So, I can't do anything except maybe open a document on my computer, but since it's my first time using Adobe XD ... This is version 35.1.12. I tried uninstalling, reinstalling, or installing the older version, but nothing helps. I did not find any similar problem on the internet ... Has this ever happened to any of you? Does anyone have a solution? Thank you very much for your precious help. 🙂Camille

I'm viewing  my published prototype in my Chrome browser (signed in and working perfectly), suddenly  additional comments posted that did not come through the comments.  Instead, I am notified by the creative cloud alert but when I go in there I am only able to view comments within the CC application, where I'm unable to reply.  Meanwhile the old comments are visible on my published instance, but not refreshed.  Help!  Any suggestions for approaching troubleshooting on this one without losing my comments?  Thanks in advance.

Hi there. I've seen this issue appear in earlier threads with previous versions of XD.I'm using the latest XD, on Catalina 10.15.7, viewing the created links in Firefox.I note if I change my text containers to 'Fixed size' (as opposed to auto height) the issue disappears.In this link the first image gallery wireframe uses 'Fixed size', the following 2 auto height.Is this a known bug with 'auto height' - should we be avoiding it - as the issue becomes very time consuming when one has to change significant numbers of component states?Thanks for any assistance.

When I open a particular XD document that was shared with me the file opens and loads. Then it has a pop up saying “Something went wrong: Close and reopen the document to continue working. If you see this message again, access this document’s history to save a copy of a previous version.” The cloud icon at the top of the document shows the “x” on it. I have attached a screenshot of the error.   I logged out of all Adobe apps, signed out of Adobe CC, and deleted all adobe apps from the Activity monitor. Then I signed back into Adobe cc via the desktop app and tried again. No matter how many times I have closed out of the document, closed out of the program, uninstalled and installed, I keep having a connection issue to only this one document whether I am connected wirelessly or with an ethernet cable.   This is the only document I am having issues with. I can open other shared documents with no problem. When I log into the adobe cc browser app and

I have relaunched the app.The app is up-to-date.I have signed out and back in to Creative Cloud.When I click "Access this document's history" it DOES open correctly in the browser. It's a slightly older auto-saved version, but it has changes from about 10 minutes before it crashed.When I click "OK" it closes the file and leaves me on the welcome modal, (where I can see thumbnails of all my Cloud files). This is happening with ALL cloud files now.I am trying to see if a coworker can open the file on her Desktop app (I shared it with her via the browser), but not sure yet. Still troubleshooting.
