After Effects

Help wanted! Searching for programs/apps that can colorize black and white videos. Got a lot of short videos from the WW II-era that I want to colorize. Adobes helprobot claims (I got the Adobe CS) that Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop can do it, but I´ve only managed to colorize stills in PS (which I do a lot, se attached pic), and I dont get any links how to do it in either PP, AE or PS.   Anyone got any idea or description how to colorize? PS  I´ve tried the apps  "AnyMP4 Mac video con" and "AVCLabs Vi..." but they just makes the image more "brownish". Hi All i am struggliging to keep tme still image from jittering the(the bobbing upand down movement) i have tried wrap stablising but i didnt work.any help would be much appreciated . the of after effects i am on is 2023. my mac is over 10 years old.

I have been working with after effects for 19 years now and I can not think of a more problematic build than this release. Normally I can work around some level on bugs, or maybe just work on a mac or pc workstation depending on where or what bug i maybe encoutering, but this build doesnt work properly anywhere. Every 5 minutes of working I encounter an error.Ram preview? Black frames, so clear cache. Now there are black frames in other places in the timeline. Reload footage, Now for the next few minutes, maybe just maybe no error frames, but that doesnt last for long before the error frames start appearing again. Basic feature not working.Mask tracked in Mocha AE, usually works fine, but today, on random frames the mask just doesnt add or subtract, its as if its not even there. I can see the outline of the mask covering the object i want to remove. 1st frame works, 2nd frame doesnt, 3rd drame does. Should be an easy work around, delete the problem keyframe and let after effects i

Salut tout le monde ! Je rencontre un problème de décalage audio persistant dans After Effects 2024 sur un iMac avec 32Go de RAM. Mon motion design dure 4 minutes. Symptômes :Le son est décalé dans la timeline pendant la prévisualisation.Même après exportation, l’audio reste désynchronisé (surtout avec effets, précompositions, etc.)Le problème c'est détecté vers la fin et il s’aggrave quand j’ajoute des formes / illustrations / effets.J'ai regarder ma piste audio ( le graphique audio) & je vois vers la fin un trou dans l'audio, je pense que l'audio c'est contracté (il y a des mots, des phrases, qui ce mettent la ou il n'y a pas lieu d'être. Ma piste audio en dehors d'After fonctionne très bien. Ce que j’ai déjà vérifié :Framerate compo : 24 fpsFichier audio : 48kHzMatériel Audio : sortie correcte, tampon testé à 128/256Nettoyage du cache After EffectsJ'ai testé avec nouvelle compositions et audio simpleTest de rendu via Media Encoder (même problème). Merci

Hi ,I can't found scene setup in my panel like video tutorial  , how i showing up scene setup ?

Really Super Annoying. This happens in after effects and Illustator. You can brute force selection of Comp Tabs and some UIs tabs by RIght Clicking below the Tab title. But sometines it doesnt work. Even native panels, like the Project settings. You CAN'T acess the Expressions tab, becauae the HAND grab icons is stuck on. Restatrting AE sometimes fixes this, but it come back like a rash. I really dont need to be wreteling the UI, when I'm trying to concentrate on the animation.Doesnt anyone else get this? - and know a foolproof fix to unstick the Cursor?best wishesMac Sonoma Current AE

When i try to open mocha ae or mocha pro is not opening.  just 'starting mocha' pop up and gone nothing happen after this

My 3D transformation controls have disappeared, even after updating the app and using the show controls command.I think I disabled them by accident.I'm trying to find info on this but the official Help page just says this. https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/using/work-in-3D-space.html   However, when I follow these steps, I still do not see the transformation controls (3d transformation gizmo) when I select an object/camera. Searching this issue in this forum only brings up the answer of using Ctrl + Shift + H to show layer controls, which is already enabled and still not showing the gizmo.The help article also mentions these various gizmo states:But toggling between all of these does nothing. The gizmo is still nowhere to be found. So the only way right now I'm able to adjust 3D layers right now is numerically which is extremely frustrating as you can imagine. Has anyone else run into this, and how did you re-enable these little guys? I got to know that you could copy a shape path and paste it on to the position property of a layer to have a motion path same as that of the shape path. I don't quite understand however, how this works? Like even when I scale up the shape layer, it still pastes the original path I made not the scaled up one. On a macro level I can say the shape path is copied and pasted as a motion path, but what is exactly being copied and pasted? As in something like shape path vertex coordinates? Where are they measured from? How during pasting these vertex coordinates get converted to position coordiantes? Essentially i'm looking for what data is copied and from which reference? And then during pasting what data is pasted and from what reference, to finally get that shape path to motion path conversion.Thanks! 

Hey guys, im new to after effects and i have a question. How do i get twixtor and sapphire? I tried looking it up and what not but it said twixtor was almost $800 dollars????? Thats insane, am I looking in the right spot?

Uso After Effects 25.3.0 [Build 71] y me esta pasando que al trabajar con archivos .mov [sea el formato que sea , desde Prores a incluso mp4] al tirar previos genera cuadros erroneos, frames negros y hasta frames invertidos y cortados aleatoriamente, sucede tambien al querer exportar en formato Quictime. Ya vacie varias veces todo el Cache, imagino que es algun error en la forma de generar el cache, porque a veces se soluciona "masajeando" el video y generando un previo en la ram. Incluso haciendo esto a veces tira tambien esos frames locos. Ya no se que hacer, la version anterior nunca me genero este tipo de problemas.Trabajo con video desde siempre y es especialmente molesto este tipo de bug. La configuracion de mi sistema no ha sido modificada, viene sucediendo desde la ultima actualizacion, tengo el plan del paquete de Adobe pago, por lo que las actualizaciones son automaticas.Por favor necesito una respuesta y solucion de parte de Adobe porque esta situacion me esta dificultando d

I'm using the blinking cursor typewriter effect on After Effects and I would like the cursor to have a different color than the rest of the text. Is this possible?

Hi folks,I have a simple comp with some footage and some textlayers.On many layers I used the built-in "Animation Presets -> Behaviors -> Fade In+Out - frames" for just fading layers opacity in and out.When I render the comp with the commandline-renderer "aerender.exe" everything looks as it should, except the opacity of the layers using the expression created with this preset. It's like the commandline-renderer ignores or doesn't "understand" the expressions on the opacity. Concerning layers are just 100% opaque.What I am doing wrong? Or is it a bug? Why "aerender.exe" just doesn't render the comp like AE would?Kind regards,Ronny

  I tried with masking a particle effect and it really didnt look great , I want the circular particles to minupilate from the left to right filling up the text constantly, is this achievable in AE?

Using the Plug-in "Saber" on animated text on a pathThe text is on a path, its animated to fly across the scene on the path.I apply the Saber effect onto the text itself and it looks great, does everything I wanted.Then I redo the effect to another word and the effect doesn't work.I made the new text on a different path, animated it going across the scene.NOTHING DIFFERENT. Then I applied the Saber effect and the text disappears.I then tried applying the Saber effect to a black solid then to the text, which worked butI can't animated the text across the scene, the saber animation dose not align with the text animationmaking my timing off or it the fire text down move.PLEASE I need help with this plug-in Saber.Does anybody know whats going on??????ThxZombie Frog Productions

I have tryed lot of options, even creating new seperate .ae file, and it just keeps showing up again and again and again, for 14 projects it worked fine today, but this particular project just keeps showing this error. I was exporting adobe premiere pro project from after effects.  I have cleaned chach, memory, deleted unused files, disabled all efects, cuz effects is not important here, only sound for multichannel mastering.  Don't know what to do anymore. even saved with a different name in different location. collected files once again trough dependencies, but NOTHING.

In the last couple of months preview frequently glitches as shown in the video, sometimes black frames, sometimes more colorful glitches. It's been happening on different projects, simple ones and complex ones.The glitched frames also show in export.When refreshing cache it fixes the frame it's on but glitches another one.My hardware config is:Apple M1 Ultra64gbMac OS Sequoia 15.5Ae version: 25.3.0 (Build 71 ) It's been happening in previous versions tooThanks for helping in advance

My after effects will not open anymore. I tried disabling plugins, i tried resetting preferences, i tried starting in safe mode, rebooting, reinstalling, but no luck. I simply get the message at launch " after effects error, internal verificationf ailure, sorry! (unable to acquire ascii style name). Hoping someone can please help., i just updated .

AE always notify me when I switch from advance 30 to Cinema 4d that AE haven't install Cinema 4D but in creative cloud it show I have it installed. I've tried reinstall plugin and reinstall AE in creative cloud panel Nothing works!!! AE 2019 works fine but 2025 version just doesn't SO MANY SIMILAR CASES PLEASE FIX THIS.           

I use Adobe After Effects CC 2017, and auto-save is turned on by default. The path of auto-save is marked as "Next to Project". My computer turned off yesterday, because of electricity. So where can I find my lost project?
