After Effects

Hi, I copied pasted the 'path' of the 'Line layer' into circle's 'position; property to animate it along with the line's path. but the scale gets bigger once I paste it.. Why does this happening. I drew it in Illustrator then used overlord (App) to bring the path into AE and scaled it a bit before I animated the 'Line' layer using trim path. Please help me.    

When I use duik, I select the desired hand shapes and start the generation by selecting the wrists from within the humanoid. As in this picture, there is no automatic connection between the bones and the illustrator layers. I have been repeating it like in the videos but I am not getting the connection. What can I do, how can I fix this? y.t. videostep 1step 2   

It's really starting to get old dealing with Adobe and their buggy products. My workflow is constantly getting screwed up by some stupid flaw in the software. Used to be having the top end Mac that's less than a year old would mean something. It's just one thing after another and it doesn't end with every update. What are we paying for? What are their developers doing to the software? This isn't how it used to be when you paid once and you got a version. Now it's like we're getting punished for having a monthly subscription. As I work on a tight deadline today, The new issue is you can't get the dropdowns to work. You can click on them. They'll flash for a sec and then they'll disappear. I'm on my third restart and it keeps happening and I'm about a half hour behind because of this. This is almost as fun as yesterday when the timeline would start but not stop until I forced quit. It just kept playing the timeline over and over on loop. At what point designers do we say e

Specifically, the Opactiy Animator property does not interpolate/animate between selected and unselected states and vice versa. My mac is no longer compatible with after effects, how can I download an older versions which worked fine in the past? 

Hello!  I've used AE quite a bit for fairly simple 2D animations. Now I need a very simple 3D object (a propellor) to spin, and the hub it's on to spin as well. The style of artwork is very simple vector ... an outline and a color inside. Two questions:1. How best to make this simple 3d shape?2. and... to match the rest of the artwork , it really needs a stroke (like some of the 3d cars you see in Family Guy, for example). Is this easy? it seems hard considering that the 3d object is rotating, now does the stroke stay on the perimeter?

 

I've got footage that I took via hand held so it is pretty unsteady.  But I have a gray plane (F-22 in this case) against either a nice blue sky or white fluffy clouds.  In both cases, it seems like it would be easy to track.  Many frames have motion blur due to the fact that I can't keep the camera steady but even with the nice clear clean frames, the tracker has problems.  There are times when it can go for 30 to 60 frames which is great but there are also times when it stops after eacy frame and I need to adjust it. I've set the options so that it stops tracking if confidence is below 80%.  I've tried RGB, Luminance, and Saturation.  I've tried with and without "Enhance Before Match".  I often set the point on the nose of the plane and set the inner square to about half way up the nose and the bigger square to be about twice as large as the inner square. Nothing I've tried seems to make a significant difference.  I'm wondering i

Hello,I'm working on a very large image (16,000 * 2,000 px) and I'm having a problem displaying my layers to which the "Wave Warp" effect is applied:when I work in "half" resolution everything is normal, but when I switch to full resolution, all these layers disappear both from the after display and from the exports. Do you have a solution to this problem? Thanks in advance

the program crash my tablet and after effects as well at the same time I have to reset the pc in order to keep working it does it randomly when ever I click on a value on the left side panel ( effect controls) it does not really matter what effect I'm using. 

This is a new issue between 2024 and 2025 — when I copy from premiere timeline and paste into after effects it is encasing every clip copied into individual precomps. I want to keep files as native as possible between the two program's timelines. Is there a way to turn off this aut-enveloping of pasted files? (I would love to ask an adobe tech support person if this is a new intended behavior... and if so please don't. but since adobe has hidden all of their methods for contacting support — pushing all of us into this virtual lord of the flies system... i'm not holding my breath)

Dynamic Link between After Effects (25.1) and Premiere (25.1) is broken. I used to be able to drag an AE comp directly into the Premiere project panel to create the link—but now it does nothing. I can create the dynamic link in Premiere using File -> Adobe Dynamic Link -> Import After Effects Composition, but then anytime I make an edit to the comp in After Effects it goes Media Offline in Premiere. I've tried deleting Disk Cache for both programs, and restarting programs and computer. TL;DR After Effects is causing my external cloud drive to download all the files from the server at once, and I need to know why. I'm having a bit of a niche -- but serious -- issue that I need help with. My job uses a cloud service called Box Drive, which is a lot like Google drive or Dropbox. The drive is installed on my system and located on my operating system, so although all its files are on the cloud, from any software's perspective, they are just files that are located on my local drive. Box Drive will automatically download the files whenever a software requests access to them. The problem: I've been using Box with After Effects successfully for years, but this month, an issue started where everytime I open AE, Box attempts to download all files from the cloud at once (hundreds of terabytes worth of files), resulting in freezes, errors, and an unusable machine. This kind of problem can occur when some software is "scanning" the files, for example, if an antimalw

When trying to navigate within the VR comp editor using the orbit tool, it throws this error.  I can navigate by changing the rotation on the VR Master Cam Controller null, but not the orbit tool.  The footage I'm using is 7680x4320, and I'm on an iMac Retina 27-inch 2019 machine.  Any help is greatly apprecaited, as there seems to be next to no information regarding this error when searching both Adobe support threads and the internet in general.

Hey does anyone those how can I recreate this holographic sun-ray effect around my subject in After Effects?I'm working on an edit where I want an iridescent, holographic glow to radiate outward like sun rays but only around the subject, not affecting them directly. I found Chromawarp in Sapphire and played with Warp Amp & Frequency, but I'm struggling to refine the effect so it smoothly surrounds my subject without looking too distorted. maybe I should use displacement maps or radial blurs to achieve that fluid holographic light refraction? I remember seeing this effect and loving it, and l've noticed it appearing more in edits recently. I'd love to achieve it on my own, so if anyone has any tips or guidance, l'd greatly appreciate it! My after effects was perfectly running fine yesterday. Whenever I place the effect on the text from the animation presets, the effects never appear in the effects control. It's Decrease tracking or all of them non of them show up

Hello, I have a bug when loading a mogrt into Prem. I've attached the image below. I have the version of After Effects that it asks for, so I am not sure why it is not working. I have shared with other people in my organisation, without luck. I was previously having C4D renderer issues, which I fixed by going through all the comps and making sure that they have everything reverted to the default 3D renderer.My mogrt has 2 Universe plugins, which both work in Premiere.  I have cleared my cache, re-exported and like I mentioned I changed all the renderers. The MOGRT export is quite small, but has a lot of controls. This has not be a problem in past. I recently had my machine upgraded, and it has caused a number of issues, especially with dynamic links between projects (This project in particular will no longer connect to AME). I can test that out to see if that is the issue. Any other ideas about why this isnt working would be good to know.&nb

I was working on a project and all the bars in my timeline disappeared. Does anyone kow can I get them back? I only have 7 layers. 

I put together an animated text composition that I would like to add to the beginning of one of my premier projects. When trying to render I keep getting an error that the directory originally selected in the output module no longer exists. I tried windows media, animated gif, NTSC, custom, etc. and nothing works. What is wrong with this?
