After Effects

Hi!Compare to last version of the After Effect this one slow down a lot. I've got a very short (5 second) animation which I can render before in less than 10 minutes with particular plugin. Now, I spend all day to fix why AE doesn't work correct with last version of particular (and to be honest I don't know what's happen but performance is fair enought to work). Still I don't know why render time increse from 10 minutes to around 1hour 30minutes right now.Also, sometimes when I change preview resolution from full or half to quarter it's stuck and I need reset AE or purge cache to get it work again.Animation is very simple, some around 7-10k particles, no more fancy effects etc.AE version 25AME version 25Particular (Red Giant) 2025.1.0 I try to reinstall particular, update a nvidia driver to newest one (studio version), but nothing help for now. Did someone have same problem now and find a solution?Cheers!

I'm trying to figure out a way to appropriately render my output my files to a dated, and maybe hourly directory.I know how to create an expression to write the date into a "Source Text" field.//CampName and DateD = new Date(Date(0));//Today's Month+ (D.getMonth()+1) + "/"//Today's Day+ D.getDate() + "/"//Today's Year+ D.getFullYear() How can I get this expression into text blocks so I can connect it to my output path that I pipe into a "add to Ae render queue" block?As always, any input is appreciated. ---------------------------- BTW, I just wanted to again say thank you for this extension. Hello community, I run into awful problem. I have some effects (like gaussian blur) on my animation, which is in pre-comp. The 3D-animation did not work in main-comp, so I skipped it. But its got text animation on it which I cannot skip. I need to reveal the pre-comp-animation in main-comp, by using masking. The problem is, the pre-comps FXs (like the blur) do not work in main-comp when I create a mask. The FXs disappear. And they reappear when I delete the mask. I need to do the masking in main-comp. I´ve tried shape layer masking and layer masking (and inverting), and it doesn´t matter if the layer mask is on "add" or "subtract". Nothing seems to get me around this problem.There has been plenty of trouble already and this is my "plan C", or "plan D" already. I´m running out of plans. For some reason the link between main-comp and pre-comp does not work propely. Please, does anyone know, why effects won´t work with mask and is there any alternative solution?? Thank you.

We know that now Adobe no longer supports Adobe After Effect CS6. Previously we could use the trial version of Adobe After Effect CS6 for free for 30 days. We can download it on the official Adobe website, but now Adobe no longer provides a download link. However, I got the trial version of Adobe After Effect CS6 on the internet a few months ago. Can I use the trial version of Adobe After Effect CS6 in 2024? Is it legal?. I only use the trial version for 30 days (without crack, without piracy), because I can't afford the latest Adobe After Effect CC.Is there an official Adobe employee who can answer my question?

After Affects becomes hardlocked on the last few frames of render 1. load AE 20252. Add comp to render que3. Start Render4. Observe the progress bar get to 97% and then freeze, necessitating the app be force quit I'm on a PC running windows 11, with 64 gigs of memory and RTX 2070, 1 terabyte HD  

Without opening another new thread. I just opened a 24 project that uses the 'counter countdown monospaced' preset.The expressions are screwed up!  I added the new 'preset' from 25 but that also has a glitch.In standard mode, if you keyframe a number from 900,000 to 2 500 000. It will jump from 999,999 to 2000000 and skip the 1 million.

just noticed my duplicate later keep shifting when i link layer to hero layer. tried on simple comp and i can repeat, so reporting as bug. when i link a layer with non-unifrom scale and rotation, the child layer rotate and scale to change shape. when i unlink from the parent, it deforms again and won't change back to original shape. system:MacStudio M2 Ultra128GB rammacOS Ventura 13.6.6AfterEffects 24.5.0  

I updatetd my mac with the last MacOs Sequoia 15.0.1 (24A348) and i have some issues with preview and common crashes, i don't know if i should do a downgrade of the mac os or change in an after effects different version that is more stable. P.S. i have 36gb of ram so no problems on that i think.

I often shoot real estate videos and struggle with blown-out highlights from windows during editing. I recently saw a video with perfectly exposed interiors and windows—here's the link, check out 0:33: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRaVZ0LUKLw I’d love to replicate that effect. I suspect they used a slider and shot two takes: one for the interior and one for the windows. My challenge is blending those clips together. I’m not very experienced with After Effects, but I think an exposure mask and tracking might work. Any suggestions?

I need to export a very wide Quicktime animation video that is 28,576px x 64px. Every time I export the video, it is black and there is also no preview. It does export as an MP4 but it automatically changes the width to 16384 × 64. I can't figure out how to even make a MP4 that is 28,576px x 64px. Any ideas why?

I'm animating a simple stroke with some tapering and some glow - and seeing the way the stroke tapers is not smooth at all. I've tried using Saber as well, and same results. Is there a better method for creating a smooth/seamless tapered stroke? See attached images for example - the tapered end steps down very obviously vs. a smooth taper....

Hi. I'm having problem with drop shadow effect. In pre-production looks ok, after putting it thru Media Encoder, it's glitching. It can be seen in 2nd second of file I've attached. But it's random, if I put it to Media Encoder again, glitch may be in diffrent spot, but it's always from drop shadow.

hi all, i have a layer added the "wave warp" effect, and i want it not just keep waving, i hope it can gradually start/stop waving , but on that "wave warp" panel i don't see the stopwatch that i can set the keyframe. do you know how i can do it?thank you in advance.

I'm running Cinema 4D R25 Studio on my machine. So, I uninstalled Cinema 4D Lite after installing Adobe Creative Cloud and installed Cinema 4D Studio afterwards. Now, when I try to change a composition's 3D renderer to "Cinema 4D", an error message is popping up, telling me that Cinema 4D must be installed for using the Cinema 4D renderer. How can I tell After Effects that Cinema 4D Studio actualyl is installed, up and running on my machine and ready to be used by After Effects?

In the latest update of After Effects, Element 3D with AO enabled in RayTrace becomes completely black. Who can help me?

Does anyone know the problem here? The preview screen isn't black, it's just gone. This happened after I updated my computer and when I opened After Effects, "it was initializing GPU," but then when it was finished the preview screen was just gone. It also doesn't interfere with rendering at all, and projects still render normally with the full video. 

I am rotobrushing a video. To optimize performance, I've split my video into different sections, applying Rotobrush to each segment individually. However, I’m running into an issue where I can't adjust the starting frame of the propagation time span. Is there a way to change the beginning frame for propagation within these split sections? Any help would be appreciated!
