After Effects

i'm using Ae 24 and i opened my project after 1 day and i can't see anything really. i don't get it because no any mistake in effects. i don't used bcc and sapphires with tohether. or don't used "firstly deep glow after than s_dropshadow" mistake yk. why i see this screen im just curious 

i am trying to redownload premiere pro and after effects 2024 but it comes up with my pc needs an update or it is not compatable with my pc, i could use all these softwares perfectly fine before i updated to windows 11 and deleted some files. now i cant download the software, i use my university accound and i need to get work done asap but i cant as i can not download it, any help would be appreciated 

Hello! I'm working on an effect where it looks like light is moving through a room that is a still photo. I'm using the CC Radial Fast Blur effect and changing the position of the center to create the movement. The issue is that no matter what I do, there is always a single frame with a glitch where a big chunk of the effect is missing. See screenshots below. I've tried adjusting the curve on the speed graph, and that just moves the glitch to a different frame. Any ideas?  

Hello I have a problem with my after effect when I preview the timeline it won't go any further than five image after I have to spam the space bar to get the preview bar going further. And when I stop I have the message 'low memory warning ram as being extended for previews adjust RAM sitting in preference". Hello comunity, I'm having this really odd trouble with an Macbook Pro 16" 2020: as you can see in this ClearMyMac print below, AE 2025 and 2024 is taking really more from CPU than it should. This laptop has an AMD radeon dedicated GPU, but AE is not using it significantly, at least to not heat up to 78°C Any idea of what can be causing this?  

IssueSince version 2025, when it comes time to add my compositions to the Render Queue (CTRL+M), it takes a long time before they are added. This was never a problem before. It was done instantly. I am doing the test on a local disk, so it is not a network slowness problem. I do the same operation with version 2024 which is still installed on my computer and I do not have this problem. I did a test: add 100 compositions to the Render Queue.     v2025=3min 22 sec    v2024=instantlyAdobe After Effects version number 25.1.0(Build 68)Operating system  Windows 10 Pro 22H2Steps to reproduce - CTRL+M Expected result - Selected comps added to Render Queue instantlyActual result -  Long wait for that to happend  

Hey everyone,I’m trying to animate 3D text from Illustrator in After Effects, but it’s invisible. I can move the layer, but I can’t see it. I also got a warning: “Advanced 3D is not supported by the current hardware.”I’m new to this so I’m still learning !I’m on a 2018 MacBook Air (do not come after me!)• ⁠1.6 GHz Dual-Core i5 • ⁠Intel UHD Graphics 617 • ⁠8GB RAMIs this a hardware limitation? Do I need a plugin like Element 3D, or should I just rasterize the text and animate it in 2D?Any advice is appreciated!

Hello, Im working on an animated sequence where I have a boat race, with 8 rowers per boat. In illustrator i have designed the charcters with their limbs on seperate layers. Is there a way I can create the rowing motion once, and apply that to all the charcters? Im also going to swap out different mouths to show the charcters breathing in and out as part of the action along with blinks at intervals.  I'd usually just key frame all the movements for all the limbs in After effects and work like that to achieve the motion I want, but just thought id see if theres an easier way. Thank you.

So if the max comp size is 30k by 30k does that mean 30k is the maximum number of pixels in one axis? Or would something like 50k by 3k be possible if RAM is not the limitation?

I saw some other posts here talking about UI problems. I'm guessing its a bug related to gpu. This bug is not present in older versions. For me, the composition preview panel is incredibly slow. It takes ages to update the preview after panning around or zooming in or out and moving objects around the scene. Like I pan the preview/canvas a bit with the middle mouse button, and then it takes 3 seconds for the move to register and show me the updated preview.  Again, this is only an issue with the latest version. I have seen others with an AMD GPU, so im suspecting its a bug that has something to do with the GPU. Another hint i found, when installing the older AE 2024, it took some time optimizing for my GPU when i first started the program. something the newer version did not. I think this is the root of the issue.  I'm using an AMD RX6600

Hey group !! need help from experts. I'm using after effects CC 2019 and when I use roto Brush tool it's not showing selctions lines which I selected but roto do his work and display result in real time playback windows but not showing any lines of selction in composition playback of that particular windows and also I wanna add that when I'm pressing roto brush to select object as long as I clicked I can see the selection lines but when I release mouse button the lines disapears

The channel blur plugin produces NaNs in 32 bit mode, especially when "repeat edge pixels" is on. The NaNs are on random frames every time the composition is rendered. This happens on both Windows and Macs, with the latest public release.While the NaNs can be hard to see as individual pixels, they cause major problems when other effects are rendered on top.I have attached an example project that reproduces this, and includes some rendered examples as well.

Hey,I'm doing a simple 16-second motion graphics piece and I'm pressing the space bar to preview. When it gets to the end of my work area, it moves the playback head back to the beginning and continues playing. I have the loop button set to play once in the preview pane. This button doesn't seem to be doing anything at all.Is there something I'm missing?The green cache line for RAM preview is covering the entire work area so it's not that.Thanks!Scot

Is there a way to apply an expression to the shape of a box text?I’m not looking to create a text box, but rather a box text.I understand that with a script, it is possible to modify it via textDocument, but I would like to use animation here.

Hello I am completely new to using Adobe After Effects, so I apologize in advance for potentially not using the correct terminology. I purchased and downloaded this template: https://motionarray.com/after-effects-templates/magic-book-slideshow-251937/ I am creating my own art book and this template is perfect.  Following the video instructions by Motionarray, I was able to upload my images to all of the pages and make some changes. However, I am coming across issues with making further alterations to the various effects. Also, for some reason the image for the cover of the book is upside down and I don't know how to rotate it correctly.  Can anyone offer some advice and tips on how to make changes to a template? I would like to change/edit the following things:1. Rotate the cover image 180 degrees2. Change the book edge color3. Change the hue of the lighting on the left side as it is very yellow4. Remove the gold corner embellishments that s

This is a screenshot of CC2019 and the latest (Beta).Obviously the HDR parameters are missing.Have there been any major changes to the HDR solution in any of the versions along the way?Oddly enough the latest Lumetri Color plugin info shows v1.1.CC2019 showed v3. 

Using Duik Angela, I am creating Duik KeyMorphs for each of my phenomes and mouth emotions (40 total). I can create a 40-slot slider to easily select from these 40 mouths, but it's a really long slider and I'd like to break it up into two columns of 20 each. The problem is, that each way I've seen to create this seems to rely on multiple pre-comps. However, I want Duik to have the ability to morph between these keys, and it seems to do this I need to have all 40 in the same KeyMorph grouping. I don't see how Duik could morph between keys in two different PreComps. So, is there any way to do this? I am toying with using a 2D slider and I adjust it to be really tall and narrow and then finding some way to have the place I move the dot in that 2D slider to select a specific KeyMorph Key. But this seems like I'm inventing the wheel and someone else has surely encountered this many times already. But based on the quality of tutorials online, and complete lack of current Duik forums or

Update: I figured it out... in the same windows I didn't have View set to "Roto Brush & Refine Edge" I just used RotoBrush 3.0 to track a person and now I want to freeze the results. But the freeze button is missing. Here's a screenshot from a YouTube video talking about RotoBrush 3.0 beta which shows the freeze button:  But in the actual release version the button is missing. Is the buttom moved somewhere else now?Thanks, Pete.
