After Effects

I have been experiencing a problem with JavaScript for some time. Unable to execute script at line 5. Uncaught JavaScript exception: can't connect tounikcloud.ddns.net:80 I have reset the After Effects settings. Before 1 day or 2 it was ok and the problem appears again. The error occurs every few minutes freezing the whole program.I have the feeling that it started to appear when the Rubberhose 3 plugin asked me to change the Expressions Engine to JavaScript. However, it also appears when the new default project has the Legacy ExtendScript setting.  AE Version 24.4.1, macOS 14.5, Mac Studio M2 Ultra.

1. I have an 64 bit operating system and also installed an 64 bit after effects cc 2020. After launching after effects why does it shows "Adobe cep html engine (32 bit)" in task manager under after effects.2. Whenever I started using character panel or editing text, after effects starts not reponding or freezing. But without that panel it runs smooth.Please give me a solution for both. It's been a month now. I have tried to reinstall after effects too many times from different sources also.

Hi guys, newbie here.  I'm following along a tutorial on yt of how to make this cool blur effect. In one of the steps, the creator exports his rotobrushed clip as a photoshop sequence, then imports the sequence so that for one of the steps it's less of a strain on his computer. Hi, I'm just getting started with the AE SDK and learning how to make plugins, but the first problem I'm having is how to get the name of the selected layer in the AE project. I've tried. A lot of things. It's all wrong. Can help write a simple code, I refer to. Is that OK? Thank you very much. I am currently using the 2020 version of SDK

Hi, I'm somone that's been a self taught adobe user for the most part. I've created a joystick with a dog as a knob. I'm trying to animate it moving around a little like a joystick but have found no tutorials online. All I've seen are videos of the plugin joystick and slider, or Duik but was wondering if there was a way to do it without paying for that plug in.  Currently It moves but its not a hard movement like a joystick It's moving like a bendy straw right now. When I've try the pin took it moves the whole head around in 2d (i would also appreciate any help if you would know how I could make the joystick bark) Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

While using AE 23.5, my Mac OS 13.4.1 freezes up. Have to do a cold reboot. This has happend five times in the past week. Not consistent. Not using 3rd party plug-ins. Tried restarting in safe mode and it works for a while. No specific steps, happens arbitrarily. Expected result: full functionality. Actual result: inconsistent system freeze which is not beneficial for my machine. Will try going back to older versions of AE.

I am editing a video using very heavy footage do i created a low rew duplicate of the footage.I ended editing the video and went to the project window do do "reload footage" and chose the high quality footage (it has transparent background and is bigger in size). It uploaded the video but with background and in the same size (i usualy have to scale it to the size of the low res file). I have no idea how to fix this, maybe it is a reloading bug, maybe there is some settings i can change?

Hi there, A dots in the composition names are being replaced with a dashes after the render. Is there any particular reason for that and may be even painless solution? Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone,So, I'm having a problem here. I keep getting this error when I play the preview, and then AE closes.I've searched the forums, but I haven't found anything helpful.I also tried it on my laptop with the same project, and the posterize time was deleted from Effects, haha. Any thoughts? My configurations:macOS Monterey3.5 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i764 GB 2666 MHz DDR4AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT 8 GB AE is updated. Thank you!

Hi all, I'm trying to simply make my ship follow a path set out by a shape layer using auto-orient. However, when I try to add a new position keyframe on my ship after the path ends to hold the ship between the two keyframes, it starts drifting and messes up the auto-orient rotation. I tried to toggle hold the first of the two keyframes and even though the drift stops, the ship rotates -90 degree at the last keyframe. I have attached videos of what's happening for better context.I basically want to keep on updating the path on run-time instead of drawing it out all at once on a shape layer but the auto-orient messes up if I do that.After Effects 2020 version 17.5.0 (Build 40)Windows 11 Home 22H2 

Hey I made a post similar to this not long ago but i'll try my luck again, I've screen recorded my problem. whenever i go to zoom in on my workspace, the audio wave form shifts by a few frames. how do i fix this? this issue has been happening for a while now and it happens on multiple projects.

Here's the error message after the project opens 98% After Effects Warning: Could not create an essential graphics parameter because it refers to an non-existent layer Clicking ok only brings up the same dialogue box.  Help me 

Very odd bug.Just had my carefully kerned type ruined by After effects when I changed individual character colours manually.Any idea why this would happen?I am pasting in hex values in the properties panel fill box or character panelSome real work needs doing to get the type engine functioning correctly to avoid this sort of thing. I can work around it with animators and it is sporadic. one of of 4 of the same characters moved. 

Heyhey, I animated an 4-color gradient with similar colors. But now the animation didn't flow, the color jumps on some points (not even the keyframes). Just to make this clear: it's not a bending problem.AE 23.5.0MacBook Pro, Apple M1 Max, Ventura 13.4.1In a 3 second comp (16bit) I used 4 keyframes for each color:Point1: #585D64 / #595D64 / #585C63 / #575B62Point2: #565B61 / #565B61 / #55595F / #54585FPoint3: #51555B / #505459 / #4D5156 / #4A4D52Point4: #51555C / #50545B / #50545B / #50555C To make the problem more visable I added the Alexa default LUT with a contrast of 100 on top  Thanks for your supportTimo 

Currently, I am engrossed in a project, and during the precomposing phase, I encountered an error message indicating the presence of special characters within my compositions. Although this type of issue has occurred before in After Effects, it typically disappears after clicking "OK" a few times. However, this time, despite using an auto clicker for an extended period, the error message persists without any resolution. Given that I haven't saved my project recently, I am hesitant to close After Effects. My primary concern is finding a way to resolve this error promptly to facilitate necessary fixes. Any assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.Version: 2020Platform: PC

In After Effects, Suppose I'm in the Main comp, its about 30 sec and make a text in between, from 15 Sec to 20 sec and I pre-comp it, to do seperate animations on the text. then I want to highlight the text, and want it update everytime I change, so I use the sourcerecatime expression, everything is fine, but when I try to animate word by word, Text layer updates the shape layer at the time of the Main comp instead of the Text Precomp, I used the text animator,  So word by word is fine, but the shape layer updates later, I found it out when I created a new text layer on the precomp and put on the same text, it updated instantly with the new text layer.

Dosyaların standartı 2.2 olmasına rağmen bir türlü standart görünümüne getiremiyorum. Windows'u başka kullanıcılarda açtığımda sorun gözükmüyor ama kendi kullandığım kullanıcı ile açtığımda sorun devam ediyor. After Effecti tamamen kaldırıp tekrar yüklememe ve ayarları tamamen sıfırlamama rağmen sorun çözülmedi. Aynı şekilde Windows'un kullanıcılar kısmında da artık dosyaları temizlememe rağmen sorun çözülmedi. When exporting AE projects which contain 3D layers, the motion is different depending on whether I export to media encoder as H264 vs H265. the H264 exports match AE 100%, the H265 Exports will glitch out the 3D parts to the wrong coordinates. AE project is attached, just export from AE via media encoder with default h264 and h265 settings. The bug mostly shows up on sudden camera changes, eg cutting from one shot to another. Its almost as if some extra interpolation is being added between frames, or as if the internal processing of 3D data is done at a different framerate than the project. Another more serious example of the problem is here at the 0:06 mark. I've tried basically everything to fix the issue. I reinstalled AE, resetted my preferences, de-activated all of my fonts, deleted all plugins (including 3rd parties), deleted all of my cache manually, booted AE in "safe mode", and restarted my computer countless of times with no crash logs. My PC Specs:RTX 3080 w/ latest NVIDIA driversIntel Core i7-8700K32GB RAMWindows 11 Home

I am using Ae to process and batch photos for photogrammetry, they are not excessively large and are approx 4k.  I am running into issues where viewports are entirely unresponsive after the first or second frame updates.Ae will freeze the viewport, and no amount of purging, changing the cache folder to another SSD, manually rebuilding the file, driver updates, changing preview settings, reformatting a fresh W11 entirely (yep), or moving the entire project directory around to different non-C:\ SSDs fixes this.  It becomes responsive when I move the entire project directory AND source AND cache on the main M2 drive (C:) it acts normally. I have tried a mixture of project + source + cache, mixing it through all my drives, and if the project and cache are not somewhere on C, it will within the first minute, freeze, lock up, forcing me to restart, where it will freeze after the first minute again.  Funny enough, if I check the disk cache in Ae, it will udpate for 2 more

Hallo zusammenIch bin sicherlich Anfänger auf AE und stehe auf dem Schlauch.Ich habe AE CC die neueste Version installiert, und mache die ersten Schritte anhand eines Tutorials. Es geht dabei um Bewegung stabilisieren (funktioniert wunderbar), skalieren verschieben; alles kein Problem.Im Anschluss wende ich die Verkrümmngsstabilisierung VFX an. Es erscheint ganz normal der blaue Balken (Analysieren im Hintergrund (Schritt 1 von 2). Dieser Balken bleibt aber ewig stehen, und nach ca. 5 Minuten kommt die Fehlermeldung "Zeitüberschreitung bei der Verbindung mit Dynamic Link-Server"Ich habe keine Ahnung wo ein Fehler liegen soll. Es gibt keine Verlinkung zu Premiere Pro, und ich brauche das im Moment auch gar nicht. Die gleichen Schritte funktionieren auf meinem Windows-PC problemlos und ich denke das sind auch keine wahnsinnigen Anforderungen an die Software.Warum sucht AE etwas was es in meinen Augen für diese Aufgabe gar nicht braucht, und gibt es eine Einstellung die ich evtl. ändern m

Hi! I am completely new to After Effects, reating my 1st project now. In my master composition, I can't see anymore the strips adjusting the time of elements appearing. Is there a way to switch it back off? I'm not sure what I did wrong there. Thamks!  

I got a Intel HD Graphics 530 card but Elements 3D from video copilot is working fine.Only problem is that texts or objects i put into Elements are black and the color cant be changed by adding a style to it. I dont know what to do at this point so any help will be appreciated!
