Is there a script out there to turn on motion blur in one shot? I have a script that does one comp at a time... but I have a plethora of comps to do.

Hi all, I'm still new at this, but whenever I bring a GLB file into AE nothing shows, even when I change the orientation can't see anything, I can see the outline of the model, but no model just a black composition.  I'm using a 1.4 GHz quad-core Intel core i5 (old I know) update version of MacOS Sonoma and the latest version of AE  I even tried in thr beta version same issue. Please help, thanks in advanced

HI there!i have problem ... after update (maybe earlier - I don't know, it's been a while since I started the project)After Effects error: The source compression type is not supported (86 :: 1),  after opening the project, an error appears that was not in the previous version of AE... I updated the codecs (quick time)I uninstalled the pluginsI restarted the computerI was checking an older version of AE (2018-  it worked on this version) HOW can i fix it ? please help, I will be grateful

Hi,is there such an option or script? To turn motion blur on for all the layers in the project or in the selected and nested compositions. 

Hello, I can't make it through the tutorial 2D to 3D Projection mapping Tutorial for Adobe After Effects - YouTube  with a jpeg image, as in material options there is no "light transmission" option under the "casts shadows" unlike in the tutorial, I even downloaded the file of tutorial itself and it opened with this option. By creating a new file with another jpeg it still the same issue. how to enable it or what alternative is there maybe to make it work?

Since the latest update (23.6) on my Mac, After Effects crashes almost every time I try to preview using spacebar. I have purged everything, tried safe mode, doesn't help. Please help!

Hello,after updating to CC 2018, I noticed one issue. During the preview of quite simple project, I keep getting this error:What I have in particular in the project:Few compositions>Inside them there is one image (3000x2000), which scales up using Transform Effect to fill the comp size. Comp size: 1280x720System info:Is there any chance to get rid of it, without going to Software Only mode?  OR, the GPU simply has not enough memory to handle the GPU acceleration?Thank you up front!

Hello, I am tired of this, After effects just keeps crashing all the time, every 10 - 20 seconds, and that generally happens when I do something in the timeline, I have lost lots of progress just because of this. I have sufficient storage + I am only using After Effects and a browserI am using the latest version of After Effects, and have sufficient system requirements to support the application  

After I move a audio clip around the Current Time Indicator/red bar disappears. Exiting, saving and re-entering the project seems to fix it. Can anyone help me out with steps to fix. I am on a M1 Macbook

I'm using my Mac. When running aftereffect 24.4 version <Unable to convert Unicode characters> <Unable to load seudo effects> error. I uninstalled version 24.4 and installed the previous version. It runs normally with version 24.3.0. I think it's a 24.4 version bug.Please improve the bug.

"After Effects can't copy layer with a parent of with a linked expression while an Undo Group is open." I get this error when I try to copy some layers, that indeed are involved in parenting.Nevertheless, I just wanna copy these, regardless of any 'Undo Groups'.Think it is some kind of coding issue, or a poor desicription in the error message. It appeared first while working with an extension,  in a fresh updated Ae - version 23.5.0 (build 52).    

     Hello! I have a problem, i had AE 2017 and AE 2020 on my mac. I changed default app from ae 20 to ae 17 because of reasons, and after that ALL ICONS of After Effects project files changes from default AE square to some weird AE square on a piece of paper: I deleted AE 2017 and this didn't solve the problem. Today i deleted AE 2020 and re installed it again, didn't help. I tryed to google this issue - but all i found was "how to change AE APP icon, not project files icon. For example, premiere pro icons and AI icons are fine: Anyone have some solution? All works fine but this icon is ugly, and i dont like it.Thanks for your response.And im sorry for grammar, im not native speaker. 

Hello, I need some help.I'm watching a tutorial online and noticed that I do not have a SOURCE drop-down menu option to switch the source of an effect to 'effects & masks'. Is there a reason why I do not have that option? Is there a way for me to get that back there?Here are some screen grabs.My version is at the bottom.

I'm trying to use a script(Motion Tools Pro). But when I try to use it the error "Allow scripts to write file and access network" comes up and guides me to do it on (Edit-Preferences). But whenever I do that after effects hang up. I already tried removing the(Motion Tools Pro) if it will help. But it's not, then I tried to reinstall and clear all disks on after effects. It's still the same even if I try (Reset Preferences) and Start in on Safe Mode. I'm currently on a free trial. Please help me!

A deep dive into how computers were able to render digital images on physical film.   Back in 2019, I posted a question on CreativeCow.net wondering how it was possible that a computer in the 1980s could render an image onto a celloid film strip. The answers I got to that post led me down a rabbit hole of competing technologies, historical imperatives and some fascinating anecdotes. I talk about John Whitney and his work, Lee Harrison and the Scanimate team, John Whitney Jr and Gary Demos at Triple-I, later Digital Productions and of course, I talk about the PDP-10, Foonly F1 and Cray XMP computers.   I've tried to sum up my findings here and inevitably, I will have missed out crucial steps and glossed over important points. Please help, I cannot drag and drop anything on Adobe AFter Effects. It randomly started occuring last night, and I have tried everything including unclicking "running as adminstrator"

Hi! LoopOut function on scale and opacity causes glitching.  I have three keyframes. - Keyframe 01: 0% Opacity- Keyframe 02: 100% Opacity- Keyframe 03: 0% Opacity With he LoopOut cycle function, it glitches and shows the third keyframe at 100% opacity. I use MacOS Sonoma 14.0 After effects 24.0

Since installing AE 22.6 the disck cache no longer clears itself, when it gets to the "Maximum Disk Cache Size" set in preferences (which is 84gigs).  Has anyone run into this.  I've only recently jumped from AE2020 to AE 2022 and this has only become a problem since 22.6.  I'll set a render to run over night which will crash cause it's filling up my HD with 200gigs in cache.  

Many of my renders have been failing on the first try and succeeding on the 2nd try: 2 consistent errors continuously pop up on fail:After Effects error: Unknown checkout id ( 78 :: 7 )After Effects error: An unexpected error occurred while exporting a composition. Error Code: 516. Please restart After Effects and retry the export. Mac OS Sonoma. Version 23.6.0 Build 62   

Buongiorno, stavo importando delle clip da After effects a Premiere Pro, le prime 4 le ha accettate, dopodichè ha iniziato a darmi un messaggio di errore, con scritto "errore di importazione file, per completare l'operazione deve essere installato Adobe After Effects 2023" e io al momento ho la versione 2024. Il problema è che se dovessi retrocedere di versione mi cancellerebbe tutti i progetti che ho realizzato sulla versione corrente. Hello Adobe Community,so far I have tried to help myself and scoured the internet for a solution. To no avail.Hence my question to you, can you help me?I have an After Effects problem on a simple film project where I use several hundred layers, with memory-heavy footage. I'm using After Effects 2023 version 23.6.0 (Build 62) or 24.0 with same issues on a 2020 M1 Mac Book Air with Apple's Sonoma 14.0. The thing is that after I saved my project and reopened it, the error overflow ratio denominators are converted. (17 § 19). When I want to work on my subcomposition "film", the lowest layers are "removed" or "withheld" or "cut off" (see screenshot)The strange thing is that I can still see the content of it in the preview window, even when I export the movie, you can see everything I had created in these lower layers. I just can't access it anymore in the timeline. I don't see them anymore either, they should actually appear at the bottom if you scroll further down?What I did: Reb

After Effects changes colors of the imported Illustrator layers!When converting the file to shape, it appears grey.There is a glitch in the program. I want my money backProgram release 2023

I'm just simply removing logos with the content-aware fill. It works, but then crashes when I save. Here's what happens every single time without fail: Generate fill layer > it works > press save > nothing happens > press save again >  A window opens saying "After Effects error: Crash in progress. Last logged message was: <random number> <RenderThreadExecutor> <1> Creating executor with 16 threads." It then lets me save as a new file before it crashes, and then I have to reopen it to continue working. Every. Single. Time. How do I stop this from happening?
