After Effects

I updated to Adobe 24.0, and when I go to use the graph editor it clamps my graph down totally flat and unusable. I can't scale the graph at all, and I need to restart AE. SUPER annoying. MacOS Monteray 12.5, Apple M1

I am using Adobe After Effects to edit my videos and I use Adobe Media Encoder to render my videos but it is getting stuck at "Remaining 00:00:00". What can I do to fix this? Note:I am rending a 5-6 min videos.Rendering a shorter video of 10 seconds WORKS.I have tried the pause and continue trick I saw on another discussion and it does not work for me! Please let me know if you have any question or concerns!

I'm experiencing a strange glitch with AE 2024, which I just updated to this afternoon. When I want to watch for playback, the preview window is tinting the entire image magenta. I've posted a screenshot. Has anyone else here experienced this?

Since august and sometimes when I do a click on after effects, the program stops working, then works again. It appears the wait rainbow on mac. Before August didnt happen. Somebody with the same problem? My colleague with other mac studio like mine don`t have the same issues.

I'm using the Inter font. I want to extrude my layers, so I intend to use cinema 4D mode as a 3D renderer. When I switch to cinema 4D mode, my fonts look strange, with some places where there are supposed to be holes filled in. Any ideas on how to resolve this? In Classic 3D mode the fonts look as they should. See attached. 

A great feature of Adobe XD is the ability to export layers/ artboards directly to After Effects (something missing from Illustrator, without third party plugins). One thing I've noticed, though, is when changing the imported comp settings in After Effects, the UI/ program freezes temporarily. Changing comp name seems ok-but changing comp timeframe (which always defaults to 60p-should be configurable in AE/ XD) or duration causes the Composition Settings window-and hence the program-to freeze/ become unresponsive for up to a minute. I've noticed this for some time-not new to current version of AE/ XD-but have suddenly become hyper aware of it as I'm using a lot of artwork from a a designer who likes to work in XD.

We render our videos with aerender on console. From time to time After Effects crashed. In protocol file from AE v22.6 the error (0 :: 42) is written, the protocol file from v24.0 doesn't mentioned an error. The errors occured on 22.x, 23.x and also on 24.0. We tested different macOS versions. The errors occured on all tested versions (12.6.x and 13.5.x).  We have the error on both Intel and M1 processor. I also tested different RStemplate & OMtemplate settings. The error occrued on all combination I had tested. We use aerender with following parameters:aerender -project xy.aep -comp XY -RStemplate "Optimale Einstellungen" -OMtemplate "Hohe Qualität" -output out.movProtocol file v22.6 contains:After Effects can’t continue: sorry, After Effects has crashed. Hi all, I have a composition (with some essential properties that control colors, text and so on..) on which I have applied a bunch of effects in order to create a fake 3d shadow. The last effect on the list is a CC composite.  CC composite doesn't update properly.As you can see from the video, the shadow animates as expected but the text and its containing shape don't. If I delete the CC composite effect and then re-apply it, then yes! the animation updates as expected.I've already deleted the effect and reapplied it several times today and it's extremely frustrating.Version 24.0.0 build 55Win 11Cheers,Davidehttps://youtu.be/WIbeYiK_TAU

Hi everyone, in the latest versions of AE 2023 and 2024 I noticed a lot of RAM usage and I can't play even simple projects. Are any of you experiencing the same problem?I have two macs: MBP14 M1 Max, 32 RAM and iMac27 i9, 64RAM

I just purchased a new mac book pro m2 chip and just purchased all the adobe programs and downloaded premiere pro, photoshop, illustrator and after effect but when I go to open after effects for the first time it shows a crash repair options (I've attached pic) if I click any of the options a new menu pops us saying "there are duplicated effect plug-ins installed on your drive. To avoid problems, quit After Effects and move or delete the older or unneeded versions." But I haven't installed any plugins and when I pull up the plugin menu on adobe cloud I don't see any plug ins. I have tried restarting the laptop, uninstalling after effects but nothing works! Please advise 🙏   

Yes, this has probably been asked but I can't see a post so can anyone help?I have a clip from Premiere Pro that I want to export to After Effects to create a composition and replace it.  I try to export it and I keep getting a message after the wheel of death has been in operation saying "needs After Effects 2024".I've clicked on the After Effects and it said I do have 2024.  Can anyone help and explain in instructions as if they are speaking to a toddler?  Thanks.

Hello,I am using AE v24.0.1 and I'm having an issue with the font. I have attempted on 3 different templates and thought it might be an issue with the templates but I don't know if that is the issue or if it's AE itself causing the issue and if there is a way to fix it. The issue I'm having is in the edit comp folder, I am changing the font type from Times New Roman to Bebas Neue Regular. It changes on the text but when I open the Final Comp render, the font reflected is Times New Roman. I've tried using different fonts that are Adobe or original fonts but I still continue to have the same issue. I've watched the template developer's tutorial videos and am doing everything they are doing but it still will not stay with the Bebas Neue font that I want.

I consider this a bug.  I have a composition, with a live text layer, I save a frame as Photoshop Layers.  I open up the file in Photoshop, and the text layer is no longer live and editable.  This is ridiculous.  Is this a suite of software or just some random grab-bag of programs bundled together?  Adobe, fix this in the next couple weeks, and then send me a certificate for pointing out a great improvement to your software.  Thanks!

My AE crashed while I was using the Roto brush tool. Now it's not working at all. When I select the roto brush tool, the roto (circle) curser doesn't show, it stays as a mouse pointer and acts as a selection tool as though it doesn't recognize that the roto brush tool has been selected. When I try to draw, it selects the video instead. My computer has plenty of storage/ ram. I restarted my computer, uninstalled/ reinstalled AE etc. and I still have the same problem. I can't find anyone else having this issue. PLEASE HELP! 

I started a new project in After Effects and when I created a text layer I tried to test the Fixedsys font. Basically only with that typeface the text is automatically modified in such a way that the letters overlap each other, unable to form words. For now I have "solved" it by increasing the space between characters, but I would like to know if this also happens to any of you and if there is a solution other than the one I have given. Thanks in advance.

Can't update my illustrator files anymore ? If I save a new version in illustrator , when I go back to AE it give me an error ....After Effects error. File exists but couldn't be open for reading ( 3 ;; 0 ).Illustrator 2024 and AE 2024

I have the latest Macbook pro M2 with a 16GB RamI've been trying to install Adobe after effects and it keeps telling me the laptop is not compatible.I have updated to the latest OS Sonoma V 14.0 and it still doesn't install, says that I need to update.How to solve this.    

I have been using after effects for the better part of a year, and for the last 2 months it has been excruciatingly slow, I use quarter, and even then it's 5 seconds for one frame, and when I check what frames take the most time, it's usually just text with glow even though I havent had a problem with it ever. Also when I render frames, the previous as to what I just render get un-rendered? It also crashes a lot on random. I reinstalled after effects several times, I restart it every 5 minutes, I purge and clear media and disk cache all the time, and then when I open the memory details, it says that there are two instances of ae running and that exceeds the allowed ram? I checked the task manager and only one instance of ae is open, so If there is anything I can do, pleast tell, thanks

Hi All,I am facing an issue with After effects.I am unable to change renderer options to Cinema 4D in composition.It is giving me below error despite installing latest version and Cinema 4D plugin along with installation.Can someone please help. I have uninstalled and re-installed After effects along with Cinema 4D add on numerous times. Thanks.

I hope someone can help me. My After Effects 2024 occasionally encounters issues with the videos I add. After a while, black frames appear, sometimes with parts of the video still visible, or the entire video turns completely black. Another problem I'm facing is that I can't open preferences. As soon as I try, After Effects freezes and I have to close it. I'm working on a Windows 10 Programm.

I created a mouth using a pen tool (the dark red is fill and the light red is stroke). Then i wanted to animate it using trim paths so that mouth would disappear in the corner. However instead it looks like this (weird). Is there some way to edit this shape so that it can appear and dissapear in a different way with trim paths? 

Hello, I'm having issues exporting this simple gif. I've tried everything from lowering the frame rate, this animation loop is 2 seconds and exporting as a video, to trying in Photoshop, but something is always wrong. I'm unsure when every time I export this GIF out, white dots show up in the gray of the speakers. Can anyone help, please?
