After Effects

hi there anyone/everyone. i am just here to ask for some assitance in recreateing the effect in the video below in after effects.Its a frame interpolation from runway but the resolution is too low. It also takes too long to process. any ideas? or this isnt feasible in AE?many thanks

I really have no clue what is going on here. We have a large exterior display we build for. We've done a number of files for it, exported as prores 4444 and all has been fine. We have an outside contractor producing something for us. He exported from AE to prores 4444 and his file didn't run.  After a lot of poking around we saw that it was in YUVA color space, not YUV like the working files. Lots of testing and we're still having that issue, and now, when I export from my AE I'm now exporting into YUVA color space. This makes no sense to me and I can't see anywhere to make a change that will affect that color space. More than that I can't find online references for YUVA anywhere.  The only other difference i can see on inspecting the files is that the new YUVA renders are "Writing Library: Apple" where the working files were "Writing Library: adb0" So I'm assuming that is an Adobe vs Apple thing, but again, for the life of me i can't see anywhere to change thi

Hello.When working in After Effects, the laptop reboots itself. But it would be more accurate to say, just hangs, turns off the screen and then turns on again.It happens when I work on heavy projects, when rendering, and when I open Element 3d, hangs, and then AE fails.I have 32gb of RAM in my laptop.26gb is allocated for the Adobe package.Video card is updatedThe cooler is not clogged with dust and the computer is not heating up.How can i solve this problem, i am asking for help.Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

I am trying to loop a simple 5-second animation, and after 25 tutorials and 10 hours, nothing has worked.I've precomposed it, brought that into a new comp, and did the whole time-remapping, with the Expression set to loopOut .I've tried 5 different variations of the "cycle" expressionI've tried various Remap techniques. You name it, I've tried it.I export it to Encoder, and final  mp4 - does not loop, it just plays once.What am I doing wrong?I'm very new to AE. Thanks a lot.

After i have finished all the project i found that my laptop is very slow so i saved the aftereffects project to don't lose my work and restarted my laptop so when i tried to open the after effects file to export the project this message has appeared to me , my laptop is dell windows 10 and i have tried importing it in a new project but unfortunately same message appeared , can anyone help me please ? Hello,Please Help Me😓🙏I recently completed a video editing project in After Effects. However, after finishing,the application unexpectedly crashed. When I reopened After Effects, the project file (.aep) wouldn't open,and I received a warning that it is in a "bad format or not readable." Could you please help me with a solution?

I bought my 2023 Apple M2 Pro Macbook in october of last year. I downloaded after effects and installed third party plugins such as MBL, BCC, SAPPHIRE, TWIXTOR.   And After effects would run fine for almost a year, no crashes on exporting or while editing. But this month it keeps crashing due to faulty plugins and I don't understand. Becuase my Macbook was running these third party plugins fine but now it crashes constantly and I don't know how to fix it. 

Documnetation says hold the ctl key and use the scroll wheel to change the rotoscope brush size, but instead it just zooms in and out of the video. What is the fix? 

Hello, I am trying to make a few presets and i need to save the names as a property. Slider's effect nameShape nameText name This is a print of my expressions and the reason i need to save the shape layers and text layers NAMES in my presets.   I have felt the same need in other exemples but i share this one because i think it's a good one.  Can someone please tel me if that is possible to be made and how ?Thank youIsabel

I have a QuickTime video with transparency, but when it's imported into After Effects on my MacBook, the transparency doesn't show. Has anyone come across this? I would appreciate your feedback

En los ajustes de proyecto de AE lo tengo configurado el espacio de color en ADOBE RGB (1998)Agradezco la ayuda!  

hey.  I'm experimenting with rotoscoping for the first time.  I know there's a little green in it, but my question is - how come i'm only seeing a small portion (square) of the full video size?  I'm sure this is a Newbie display question so thanks in advance 🙂

Hi,I'm encountering an issue with the latest version of After Effects on Windows. When I attempt to launch the application, nothing appears on the screen—no splash screen or loading screen. However, when I check the Task Manager, I can see that After Effects is running, but there is no user interface or any indication that the program has actually launched.I've tried waiting, but the application never opens fully. I haven't received any error messages or prompts.Has anyone else experienced this issue or have any suggestions on how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thank you!

often encounter the problem that when I want to render from After Effects through Encoder, it doesn’t respond.•It opens, but the project for rendering doesn’t appear.•Or you drag and drop the project directly from AE, and it thinks for a while, then doesn’t respond anymore, or the project appears but when I hit render, it keeps thinking and says that such a project does not exist.•The same thing happens when I import the project directly into Encoder; it might say it can’t find it or, in general, the file I’m pointing to doesn’t load.I usually noticed that this can happen with large projects, with many compositions, or with effects like Posterize Time.

When using an OCIO config with file rules in place, it seems as though image sequences do not respect the file rules. For example, I've set EXR file types to come in as ACEScg. This works for single EXR files but not for EXR sequences.  This is what I have in the config for the file rules. As you can see, anything with EXR extension should be flagged for ACEScg while everything else will default to Raw.  file_rules: - !<Rule> {name: OpenEXR, extension: "exr", pattern: "*", colorspace: ACEScg} - !<Rule> {name: Default, colorspace: Raw} However, with this set, all EXR image sequences get missed and come in as Raw. Also, it's not just EXR sequences. I just did a test with PNG sequences and making a rule to interpret PNGs as "sRGB - Texture". Again, the single PNG comes in correctly while the PNG sequence gets missed and comes in as Raw. Since I can't attach the OCIO config or EXRs, you can recreate this by creating a custom version of the

For about a month or so, sporadically AE will take video footage and render a few frames as negative, inverted frames. When watching the playback, if you blink you can miss it, but the it's definitely there. The way to resolve it is to delete the footage/asset, save the project, close AE, and then re-open AE, re-import the footage, insert the footage where it's needed, and then wait until the cache is completely rendered. It didn't do this before, and this wastes a lot of time. Thoughts?

After Effects 24.6.2 (Build 2) When a layer is deleted, the Effects Control panel displays the effects of another layer in the composition, even though that layer is not selected in the composition.The expected behavior would be for the Effects Control panel to be empty. Interestingly, the bug fixes itself after a while. Composition hierarchy:Null 3 --> Effect > SLIDER 3Null 2 --> Effect > SLIDER 2Null 1 --> Effect  > SLIDER 1 

hey all.  I've been deeply inspired by the styles of motion comic creation on YouTube.  I'm wanting to create a motion comic, with the panning zooming in and out on the panels in a dynamic way, and wondering about a workflow on that.  Does anyone have any experience in this? 

Hi! Simple question, and I can't find the answer anywhere. I have set work area points (default keybinds are "b" and "n") so that the AE will only render frames in that small area to expediate editing. But, it's ignoring them, and instead rendering the WHOLE comp, which is making editing slow to a crawl. Is there a setting that I managed to tweak that's doing this? Thanks!Edit: I've gone into the Preview window and set the Range to "Work Area."
