Hi allI'm trying to use Trapcode 3d stroke to make a dashed line (like you would in a shape path) - is there any way to do this? I've tried adjusting the step but just end up with dots.. I'd like these to be dashes. Quite surprised it doesnt look to have this option.. but maybe I'm missing something If so, any alternatives or will I just have to use a shape path?Thanks

Hola, verán tengo un problema, estuve editando un video con after effects cc 2017, el problema es que estaba exportando con Adobe Media Encoder para tener el formato H.264, (ya que no viene por predeterminado en el after effects).Estaba renderizando, pero mi compu se trabó, creo que no soporto el video, entonces hize un apagado forzado, creo que fue un gran error, ya que al volver a encender la compu, y tratar de abrir el proyecto de nuevo, me aparece:Advertencia de after effects: No se puede importar el archivo como proyecto (formato incorrecto o no legible) No se como resolver esto, por favor ayuda! PD: No se si sirva de ayuda, pero al momento de importar el archivo, noté que no aparece el formato para importar En la primera foto traté de abrir otro archivo para ver si era el único archivo que no me dejaba abrir. En la segunda foto es el video que estaba renderizando

Hello I am using mackbook pro M1 with 16GB using aftereffect 24.6.1 and previewing in not working and showing "Low Memory warning all the time" I tried lower version of AE and it's happening the same.I am just working template with transition not 3D or serious effect. Please help me urgently I am start joining new job and it's really terribel .

Hi, I am working on simple animation of earth spinning on a path. Animation works flawlessly when i put around 10 rotations for the whole path. However, for some unknown reason when i put higher values like 365 rotations, the animation gets weird. Like the program tries to rotate the object 365 times way before reaching the keyframe. Not sure if it's mistake on my side or just a bug. I am using AfterEffects 24.6 on windows 11.  

Hi, I have completed my illustration in PS. I was happy. After completeing the animation I dnt like the end result. So I wanna tweak some colors and end up applying gradient fill in one layer in PS. But its not updtaed in AE. 😥I do not wanna redo the animation with updated PS file. anyway I can use the  updated file without destroying my animation? Please I need guidance. 😥😣  Thank you.      

When I check the 3D checkbox, some layers get a different icon, not the 3D box. What does the other icon mean? Thanks

When I rasterize my map, the map seems to flicker (especially in the Norway area of the map) as my 3D camera moves over it. I discovered that the only way to avoid this issue is by turning off the "Continuously Rasterize/Collapse Transformation" button (" * "). But then my map loses resolution and becomes pixelated when I zoom in on it. Please see these two videos showing no flicker with the non-rasterized map and flicker with the rasterized map. Is there another solution? Thank you in advance. RASTERIZED MAP WITH FLICKER ISSUE:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bk39xtWx-9s  NON-RASTERIZED MAP WITH NO FLICKER ISSUE:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IB-5XU2ATaw The rasterized map even when zoomed in all the way (as seen here over Denmark) looks clean and tack sharp as it should be, since it's a vector file. The problem is that if you look at Norway, you'll see the pixels flicker in that area of the map as the camera dollies into the map.     

Hello, everyone on tiktok, youtube, is saying that for a smoother edit, put the composition setting on 60fps. Except that when I put it on 60fps the whole edit becomes slow. How do I fix it? If I need to remove the 60fps, can I make my vid smoother in another way? Thanks.

I'm currently working on a project in After Effects and facing an issue with masking. I've created several masks on a layer, and everything looks fine in the composition preview. However, when I render the project, the masks seem to be misaligned or don’t appear as intended. I've tried adjusting the mask settings and re-rendering, but the problem persists. Has anyone else encountered this issue? What steps can I take to ensure that my masks render correctly? Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated. 

I'm trying to use edit a video in After Effects that I downloaded from Adobe Stock. It has a green screen and I'm trying to do motion tracking, but keep getting the following error message, "RAM used has been extended for previews. Adjust RAM settings in Preference> Memory & Performance." I did everything it said to no avail. I purged 'All Memory & Disk Cache' as well. I also created more available space on my computer by offloading apps to an external hard drive and I'm still getting the error message. No other apps are in use at the time of using After Effects. I just keep getting the error message and seeing this green flicker and glitch when previewing my work. It's stuck on 2 frames and won't preview further.I'm running After Effects 22.6 on a Macbook Pro, Mac OS Monterey 12.5..1, M1 chip, with 8GB of memory.

HI,I recently tried to attach a texture to a Plane I created in Element 3D The texture was downloaded as a PNG file, precomposed and designated to the texture 1 slot properly and when I applied the texture to the Plane as a diffused texture I get nothing. I have tried to designate other textures as well and got the same results. I hope i am explaining this correctly and can get some assistance or suggestions to resolve this. I really want to work with this texture in this project.Thanks in ADvanced.

Hello there 🙂I provided a shot of a video where you can see light flickering in the top left corner, caused by the led screen, which is also flickering.This shot was taken with a GoPro Hero10, wide mode, equalized in Blender to remove the fisheye, shot in 50 fps. What can I do to cure the flickering? I already tried to duplicate the layer twice, moved the middle frame (66% transparency) one frame forward, moved the top layer (33% transparency) two frames forward. But this didnt solve the problem. Any recommendations or even payed pugins to remove this?Thanks for the help!! Best,Georg

Recentemente, sempre que tento abrir algum projeto antigo do After Effects, recebo a seguinte notificação:"Erro do after effects: falha interna de verificação! {GetMessageW Failure}" O aviso fica piscando no centro da tela e, ao invés do projeto abrir, nada acontece após isso (o aviso pisca infinitamente na tela). A única solução para fechar o programa é forçando pelo gerenciador de tarefas.Isso começou de repente. Não instalei nenhum plugin, efeitos, etc. entre o momento em que tudofuncionava corretamente e quando começou a acontecer esse problema. Versão do After Effects: 24.2.1

Hello people. I´m having a hard time trying to solve my problem, that I think it´s easy to do so. I created a mask over a video that I want to crop, but now I want this mask as a shape to add some shadings. Does anybody know how to do that? See the image attached. Thanks 

There used to be a "HDTV (Rec. 709)" and "HDTV (Rec. 709) 16-235" under working color space. I find HDTV (Rec. 709) is the perfect color space for roundtriping with FCPX and also to avoid colour shift when playing back in Mac, so I have used it extensively. Since a few versions ago, suddenly "HDTV (Rec. 709)" went missing. Only "HDTV (Rec. 709) 16-235" is left available, which unfortunately does not provide the same result. Old project that is saved with "HDTV (Rec. 709)" working color space, when opening the color setting, will give error:"After Effects warning: Profile "HDTV (Rec. 709)" is missing, invalid or has incorrect file permissions. ( 83 :: 0 )" (see screenshot) Unfortunately, rolling back to previous version of AE does not bring back the profile. It seems once you updated it, it is lost forever.

I press the "alt +" key and it doesn't register on aftereffects. I popped up the keyboard menu and it wasn't reacting to me clicking the alt key either. The  key works just fine outside of aftereffects, so I am not sure what the problem is, I haven't had this problem before. AE just updated though so it might be related?I am using the 24.6.1 version of AfterEffects. I press the "Shift+Alt+H" key and no response and I click the "alt+]" shortcut and it only reacts to the "]" key. Please Help

Hi there, Please help me as I have spent actual days if not weeks trying to solve this problem and I can no longer sleep and am beyond frustrated. I have simple basic text which I have added 3D features to eg Bevel/ extruded edges / lights . I then have footage which I have 3D camera tracked. I would like to add this 3D text I have created into the 3D camera tracked space that the 3D camera tracker created. Once create a null in my 3D tracker, my 3D text I created goes very very very small within the space. I cannot find a way to make this text bigger without throwing the text off its 3D tracked position or anchor points. i have tried - scale up- dolly in- text size enlarge - increasing position  nothing I do allows me to increase the size of the text without effecting the tracking position . the closest I get, is when I dolly into the text , but then that only effects 1 keyframe and doesn't allow me to ripple the size increas

My entire project file is corrupted and I get an error after opening it. The files on the left Project window appear for a microsecond, and then the error appears, and everything disappears to a default empty project screen. I have no backups of this particular project file, so all of my work is gone until this is fixed.Also, I created the project with AE v24 so it won't let me use old versions.Here is the error: After Effects error: internal verification failure, sorry! {unexpected match name searched for in group} (29 :: 0)This happened while working on my project and adding a new shape using the pen tool. It was the first point in the new shape being placed.This project is 10 min+ of animations and is an incredible amount of work, so any alternative solutions would be helpful.Thank you.

 How do I fix After Effects 2020 not opening on my MI Mac after being advised to clear cache?I don't cleaned cash I just saved my project and maybe 10 minutes later when I clicked on AE it doesn't open. Also I don't have any updates.  

Hi Could you please take a look at this footage and share your feedback? I've been trying to key out the background and have spent days watching various tutorials and practicing, but nothing seems to be working. I'm particularly struggling with the hair, as I keep losing details in that area. I understand that the footage may not be ideal, but is it possible to key it out perfectly, or am I just wasting my time?
