After Effects

Hello gang, I'm surprised that no one has caught this or mentioned it, or maybe it's not been that important to note. But I make a lot of templates and utilize a lot of music/sound effects in my templates. These layers are all controlled vie expresions and conditional statements so I don't have to click around so much and turn on/off layers.I noticed that when I write expressions on audio layers and hit the keyboard shortcut (U,U) to reveal the expressions, it does not work on the audio property like it would on any other object property.Is this a bug or intentional?

There are three levels of comps combined to create this animation with a glow effect. The glow is pixelated and gradiated--not horribly but enough to notice--even when continuous raster is applied to the comps involved. What can I do?  

Is absolutely annoying that every 2 days you have to be updating your apps, just send a pak weekly for the updates.Ae is glitching with effects after the latest updatePs for some reason after the update is having conflict with the prompts for the generative fill and do whatever it wants.

I am writing to request assistance in obtaining a download link for Adobe After Effects 18.4. I am currently enrolled in an online course where the instruction is based on the 18.4 version of After Effects. Unfortunately, I am unable to find this specific version within the Creative Cloud application.Could you please provide me with the necessary download link or guide me on how to access Adobe After Effects 18.4? Having access to this version is crucial for my coursework and learning experience.or if it is not available, is there any other version such as Adobe After Effects 21.0?

i am a very beginner and I regret updating it today. I can't work at allSo many small issues that i cant even properly explainKeyframe animation is not working properly. Very very big issueSelecting a keyframes deselcts the object instead of showing the path controllersSelecting keyframe outside of composition boundary disappears the objectCan't select the controllers by dragging or deselect the contollers by dragging mouse or even by click shift

Bonjour,Quand je rassemble mes fichiers After Effects dans un dossier d'assemblage, il n'y a aucun fichier source dans le dossier. C'est systématique depuis quelques temps, j'ai beau rééssayer, ça ne fonctionne pas. Ma suite Adobe est à jour et mon Macbook Pro également. Merci pour vos réponses

 

Anyone know how this happened and how to fix it? 

I've already linked the null layer to the clip, but whenever I try to add a ''s_shake'' effect, it wouldn't show up in the preview and not change anything.I'd have to place the effect directly IN the 'Comp_1' layer for it to show.I'm confused if I accidentally clicked something?

So i'm trying to use the 'Consolidate All Footage' feature in the dependencies menu but it's not working.I've checked the footage using the 'reveal in explorer' function and a bunch of instances point to the same file, but after effects wont consoldidate duplicate instances of footage. I don't want to go through one by one and consolidate these manually.

There used to be a neat exprssion that could scale an object, however it seems to be not working as desired when I returned to this effect. Tutorial here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1UaZNcVobhgSo the that if you get a array of object you get this nice wave effect.  When trying this there appears to be no scale, rather just 0 or 100, but nothing in the middle. I was wondering if it was the scripting preferences Java/legacy extented but both are not working. Also I am in 32bit and also 8bit.  I am no great expression user, but this has normally worked straight away in the past.  I thought at first it might be the vector files but it also is the same with native vectors 'shape layers' from after effects. And no recognition of the gradient driving the scale.  x = thisComp.layer("Gradient").sampleImage(transform.position, [.5,.5]/2, true, time)[0];100*[x,x] Best regards Julian

I'm using after effects 23. I duplicated a comp in my timeline and then I'm trying to replace the duplicated comp with another comp from the project panel. But it's not allowing me to replace but it's suggesting me to place the comp at the top or bottom of the duplicated comp in my timeline. But in the tutorial I see it's possible to replace a comp with another comp.So what's the problem or mistake happening by me here. Plz help me.Thanks. 

Hello,  I have been participating in a Graphic Design course as part of my professional development as a teacher. One task is a logo design and I have an idea which I am comfortable realising the overall shape in illustrator however I would like to add this text in and then try to animate it, as if it was scrolling around the shape as per the image.  If there is anyone who is able to offer advice on how I might go about this, I would really appreciate any help!  Thank you 

Anyone know what's going on here? For whatever reason a bunch of my Adobe files are saved in my One Drive - Documents folder. I never set it up this way, but for whatever reason there's a bunch of stuff in there. I don't want to disable One Drive as I use it for a few things, but I'd prefer if all my Adobe elements lived together where there supposed to be. You know, my main C: Documents....   

I want a layer (several layers actually) to move around in a direction (anywhere from 0 to 360 degrees), once it reaches outside the camera view, it will wrap around to the otherside. Remember in Pac-Man when you go all the way to the right side of screen, you come out the left? That's what I'm talking about. How can I write an expression to something move, even diagonally, and have it wrap around once it goes outside view and to keep doing this over for 10+ mins?   

How can I export an animation to gif without a background with a particle decay effect so that the image remains in normal quality without dots on the background?(click on the image if you have a light theme)If break it into fragments and then glue them together in Photoshop, then the edges of the image become smooth.If save with the background in After effects, then everything is fine, but I need to remove it... 

I'm trying to import a .fla file from Adobe Animate into Adobe After Effects. Either when using Import / File or drag and drop, AE freezes for a moment, then a progress bar appears, and finally an error message reading "An error occurred while importing this file. Please try again." Currently using Animate 20.0.2 & After Effects 17.0.4 (build 59) I've tried using my file and a couple example .fla files from the Adobe site, and the same error occurs.
