After Effects

I have a medium shot of a woman sitting up in bed. Shes looking worriedly to a window off screen. Her child is asleep, with her head on mom's chest. I simply want to start zoomed in, with the childs face filling the screen, then pull back slowly to reveal the mother. Lots of tutorials out there on zooming in and out, but not starting zoomed in.I'm missing something simple. Hi, before i explain let me give you guys my PC details to prove it's not my PC.Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-14700F 2.10 GHz32.0 GB (31.8 GB usable)Nvidia RTX 4060I have just installed after effects and I configured it to render just fine, I've used every single youtube video, I use "Use GPU" on any option, I did everything, even the people that work at Adobe configured my computer so that it should "run smoothly", little did I know the next day it performed even worse. I tried going to chat support but they just closed the ticket on me... As shown by attachments. This is extremely frustrating with no help and lack of rendering time. I've pretty much given up at this point because nobody seems to understand the problem or can help correctly. This is basically my last resort, Any help?

It is not possible to set an effect name that is longer than 39 bytes via scripting. But, in some languages (e.g. german) the default effect names of the built-in animation presets using expressions are way longer than 39 characters. And therefore it's not possible to use scripts doing something with those long effect names.

After Effects crashing about 2 minutes after making edit using roto brushRepro Steps: 1. Open project in Adobe Premiere Pro2. Hello everyone, i found a problem in AE. So the layer dissappears earlier than it is supposed to for no apparent reason. The layers below this one are also not seen in this period where the highest layer cant be seen either, so it is just this empty space. How do i fix it? 

Offset turbulance not working on roughen edges. Tried animating it and also linking with an epression to a track, neither move the noise pattern.  The noise pattern doesn't move at all. 24.3.0 Build 50Windows  

Hello sir i was facing issue with my after effects My build Core i5 14600kfRtx 3080 32 gb xpg 6000mhz ddr5Z790p motherboard Adata 1tb a700 gold My after effects is lags and freezes randlomly even if i import 4k footage and preview it freeze and ma disk usage jump to 100% and i have another low machine with this one which has i5 12400f and 2060 super which works smotth

Hello there, I allocated my After Effects 20gb of ram and it is currently using 21GB. It is using more than the allocated RAM, and even when I lower the Allocated ram, the ram usage doesn't decrease. Right now my pc has 32 gb of ram and 96% is being used up.    

This happens on both Windows and MacOS. Every time you want to overwrite an existing file/render, you are asked twice, for each render. Example:You have 5 renders and you want to overwrite all 5.You go one by one setting output location and confirming in Windows and MacOS to Replace/Overwrite the existing file. You then hit Render and After Effects asks you again to confirm you want to overwrite existing files, for each individual render instead of confirming it once for all renders.  For example in Premiere, there is no 2nd confirmation. It only asks for confirmation when you are selecting the location/same file name. Once you hit render in Premire it just renders and overwrites the file.Same with Media Encoder, you go 1 by one, set the path, confirm to overwrite it and when you hit render it just renders. Only AE asks for double confirmation and it asks it for each individual render. AE version 24.1 but happening since forever

Hello,I have a wierd After Effects bug. If I want to watch a video or just click somewhere mz screen is turning black. The bug only happens in After Effects. If I use other software I can use everything normal. Here I recorded a Video: https://youtu.be/jZRPZneL4dY?si=k_clI_3u8pXdJd8A 

So, I was making a motion poster in after effects and I used my footage and time freezed it and created a mask at every point I wanted and suddenly my footage went green. Basically I created 6 masks from the footage. One for the background and other 5 for the frames I wanted to show in my poster. Now 4 of my frames went green and other two frames from the same footage are fine. Please can someone help me? I tried clearing cache and also disabled the hardware accelerated composition thing. Nothing is working 😞P.S. - I have a macbook air M2

i've reinstalled after effects multiple times but my animation preset adobe presets do not work and their in a different language?? i'm unsure what to do at this point 

Working with: After Effects 24.1.0 (Build 78)Rendering: Adobe Media Encoder 24.1.1 (build 2)Bugs :1. render time set in comp in After Effects work file is set to 0:01:05:172. the duration of the output movie after render is 2 minutes and 12 seconds.3. The render time set in the work file and the length of the output movie are different periodically.4. The work file was modified several times (but the video length was never modified) and the output video was continuously checked, so there was no suspicion about the video length at the time of the error.5. the issue resulted in a broadcast accident, which could have been very damaging.6. the bug needs to be fixed quickly

Hello, I imported an Illustrator file into After Effects (Composition - Retain Layer sizes)My problem is I can't seem to play the timeline without a flicker effect with this muliticoloured error graphic. I am also unable to extend the length of each layer that is stuck to 5 frames. I think I am inporting it wrong. Is there a better way to import vector layers into after effects from Illustrator? Thanks for any advice in advance, Josh.

Can anyone tell me why the attached expression is not working to drive the keyframe of my time-remapped layer? It seems like this should be pretty simple but it's not working. 

I've updated the imported Illustrator file that I am using in After Effects with some new layers and other stuff, but the changes are not seen in my compositions. How can I get my compositions to recognize the changes?

Hello all,I typically send my comps to Render Queue and then modify the Output Module and Output to for multiple comps at once. For some reason, this is not working for me. Even if I select all it only lets me change one at a time. How do I get that functionality back?
