Why the swirl of track matte is missing? Can anybody help me out with this? the swirl is available for parent & link but unavailable for track matte!

I got again and again After Effects Warning Unknown Exception! and other errors.I need to finish my project for tomorrow ant AE crashes as usual.I reinstalled brand new system on my CPU:- Windows 11 Pro- Nvidia A5000 PNY- 256 GB RAM and it ... Hi everyonei have a bug in after effects,i was editing something and suddenly it's become black and white.there arent any effect doing it black and white.i tried to make a new compostion and remove all the effects,but its still black and white.PLEASE HELP!and im very sorry for my english, thanks!

 Hi, I am using time remap/time stretch to slow down some film clips. As you can see above the clip gets distorted in part of the clip when I do this. Can you help to trouble shoot? It doesn't seem to be the frame blending that I am using that I know of. I am using the pixel blend. Thanks. 

Hi,Since the 2017 update it appears that After Effects isn't time warping clips the way it used to in early 2017.  Did something change? Or am I doing something wrong?Simply, if I had a clip that was 10 seconds long and I Time Warped it to 50% it should become 20 seconds. It doesn't do that anymore, it just changes the speed of the first part of the clip and then cuts it off.I tried enabling "time remapping" this doesn't work either. Please help.Baby step me through this. Also, If I have the clip in Premiere and I then dynamic link the clip to AE, will the same process work or do I have to do something else?THANK YOU! So frustrating.

In my after effects, the Color picker has changed, and I have no idea how to restore it to normal. I have attached a photo to compare what I mean. On the left you will notice my picker ( from Photoshop) is normal with all the dark coloros for a hex code 002855. On the right, my color picker in After effects CC 2017, the color picker is very light in nature. Same Hex Code. I have no idea how it defaulted to that or how to change it back.  Any help is appreciated! 

Hi, I have two layers. In top layer object have position animation whereit moves down and no longer visible. But object stays in second, bottom layer.I tried rotobrush and content aware fill. But content aware fill shows "frames are blank" message and doesn't remove object from this layer.What I'm doing wrong?

I recently upgraded to an M1 Ultra Mac Studio from a 2019 Macbook Pro (Intel) in hopes of avoiding abysmally slow preview times and crippling UI lag. The results could not be more disappointing. The M1 Ultra shows no performance advantage over the 2019 Intel whatsoever. Moreover, I encountered the very same UI lag within 10 minutes of using After Effects. I uploaded a video to YouTube illustrating the problem. The description goes into detail. Hi gang; I've got an Arbitrary custom parameter which I've assigned the flags (among others):PF_ParamFlag_CANNOT_TIME_VARYAndPF_ParamFlag_COLLAPSE_TWIRLY; With the arb parameter, I understand these go within the function body like so: PF_ADD_ARBITRARY2("Custom Parameter", UI_BOX_WIDTH, UI_BOX_HEIGHT, 0, PF_PUI_CONTROL | PF_PUI_DONT_ERASE_CONTROL | PF_ParamFlag_CANNOT_TIME_VARY | PF_ParamFlag_COLLAPSE_TWIRLY, def.u.arb_d.dephault, PARAM_DISK_ID, ARB_REFCON); However, the keyframing icon still appears and the parameter twirl still defaults to open. CANNOT_TIME_VARY should make the parameter non-keyframable and COLLPASE_TWIRL should start the parameter closed. Are there different flags that should be used to achieve this with arbitrary parameters? Thanks,-Richard

I am developing a web based solution to render AE Project Files from a dropbox location using AERENDER.exe on an AWS enviornment. I would scale the AWS Instances as needed based on the number of project files in Dropbox. Do I need to buy After Effects CC License to able to use Aerender.exe file or I could just use it without any license ? I figured out if I install a demo version of After Effects, it comes with aerender.exe in it which I am able to use on commandline for rendering purpose.

My after effect cc 2017 can't open, it just loading until "cleaning up smart mask interpolation" and then After Effect CC 2017 apps not appear at all. There is no error message pop up. First time i install new fresh after effect cc 2017, this aplication work nice, until the next day i install last version Duik plugin, and i wanna use the after effect again, this problem are coming. I use duik plugin on after effect cs 6 before, and there is no problem with itI check my task manager, after effect still running but the application not appear.I already try to :1. Delete Duik plugin, because before i copy paste duik plugin script, my AE CC 2017 work properly. => not solve my problem2. Use Shift + Alt + Ctrl when application startup => not solve my problem3. hey so i upgraded my computer recently and lost all my plugins, i recently redownloaded my MBL on AE 2023 (it's not "official" but it is licensed) and i realized that when i tried to apply colorings to a clip on an adjustment layer it wouldn't let me i do not have the checkmark and x option to apply the colorings to the clip i've already tried installing and uninstalling to no avail, anyone know why? thanks!

Bonjour, Malheureusement après avoir désinstallé After Effect 2022 et installer After effect 2024 j'ai rencontrer plusieur problème notamment la perte de plug-in, de preset en me disant de rendre l'application compatible, mais il semble que cela ne soit plus possible sur mon mac. Donc je souhaiterait reinstallez la version 2022 mais elle n'apparait plus dans le creative cloud. Y-a t-il un moyen de réinstaller cette version?

Hey guys, coming to the end of a university project and im really struggling with the 3D camera, when i go to navigate nothing seems to be happening. It's on active camera and there's no lock on my camera layer, its just that nothing is moving. When i googled this it came up with lots of youtube tutorials using the dolly tool but none of them look like what mine looks like, i can't readjust anything.

I just downloaded After Effects and the Draft 3D button is missing. Motion blur, Frame blending, all the other ones are there. Can anyone help me fix this?

whenever i render a few preview frames on AE 23 the previous frames regress to unrendered, it's really annoying and makes editing really hard yesterday an orange pop up warning about my RAM usage made it even worse, i tried to clear my storage but the clips just ended up getting stuck and it was really frustrating i still haven't found a way to fix it even after millions of articles etc ive cleared all my cache, cleared everything else and nothing down below are my memory settings, please help! thank you!

Hi, - there is this issue where there is this visible line within the layers above the layer I applied the track matte to. It is cutting through where there is that black line on the border.much thanks as how to fix this- 

Hi, I am working on creating an animation that has various parts. This is my first time using after affects. I have already made artboards or various scenes from the animation in illustrator. Now I am trying to import these files into Ae  for animation. 1. Which is the best way to import files? Should I make a new Ai file for each artboard or should I import the file that contains all the artboards?2. I tried both versions, but when I open them in Ae the file that contains all artboards only show one of the artboards that I can edit, and when I open individual file, I see the individual file, but for some reasons I cannot select the elements.Can anyone guide me towards an animation that is made using multiple Ai artboards? Thanks in advance
