After Effects

Never had this problem before, it's only happening with After Effects. AE 22.6W11 22H2 22621.674128gb ramRyzen 9 5950xRTX3090 All of a sudden over the last 2 weeks AE has started to completely freeze and reboot my PC.It always happens when I'm working on a project for a while, I'll click on any program on the taskbar and my PC will freeze, mouse won't move and keyboard doesn't work but music still plays. Eventually the screen will turn black and PC will reboot. I can reproduce this almost every time. If I purge the RAM before I press the timeline then everything is fine. I think it's something to do with RAM usage buildup? I've left 12Gb for other applications.I've updated all my GPU drivers and tried re-installing AE/resetting prefs. This only happens with AE My CPU is not overclocked, and my GPU is underclocked.

I replicatd this turorial with cyan color. But a white color stroke is visible at the end of the tunnel. How to get rid of this. Video is attached.Infinite Tunnel Loop      

I'm following a tutorial to get my motion path to curve but the slider is not appearing. Any suggestions? 

I have a text layer in a text box. With fewer words I want the text to be at a maximum font size and as more words (and lines) are added I want the font size to scale down to a minumum size.I have a null controller with a slider control (output) with this code var driver = thisComp.layer("Display Text").sourceRectAtTime().height;var dMin = 845;var dMax = 1300;var pMin = 305;var pMax = 240;linear(driver, dMin, dMax, pMin, pMax) On the source text of text layer I have this code. var FS = thisComp.layer("Controller").effect("Output")("Slider"); text.sourceText.style.setFontSize(FS).setLeading(FS) When I add words and lines I can see in the properties panel that the font size is going down, but it still displays at the original (max) font size.

When I tried to move a file from Photoshop to After Effects which contained a shape filled with red gradient, for some reason After Effects displayed it as orange gradient. I had similar issues with gray gradient, when it got transformed into cyan gradient. I've already checked the color settings both in ae and ps, but everything seems absoulutely fine. I don't know what else can I do.

Eventhough Comp setting duration is 5 sec, why timeline shows maximum 4.29 sec? 

One of my students had an issue with their light animating before there were any keyframes on the timeline.Was able to make a new light and reanimate it just fine. Seems like that one light is bugged.Never ran into this issue before.I attatched the file.

First i close project. Then i close after effects and i use "exit"...... And after effects waiting long time to close yourself...... then i started after effects it popup a notification screen says "last time you did not close after effects properly" or something like this..... What is the after effects problem 8?

Hello, I wanted to install adobe after effects on my computer (MacOS Catalina 10.15), but the creative cloud does not allows me install any version and only propose the one that cannot be installed. What to do? 

I'm currently on After Effects CC 2020, and there's a nagging problem while using the preview:The playback stutters and sometimes drops to just below normal playback speed.The clip I'm trying to view is cached (green line in Timeline), and yet : stuttering playback.BUT here's the real funny thing : when you click and hold the Fast Previews dropdown menu, the playback levels out, and becomes rocksolid as it should be.  Let go of the window, and the playback goes back to stuttering.I'm attaching a video where you can clearly see that my selected work area is completely pre-cached, there are no drop frames specified in the Preview panel.Watch carefully when I click the dropdown menu : you can clearly see the arrow animation become smooth.  When I let go : back to choppy playback.https://youtu.be/DqhW2vPm-GY  My setup :MacPro 5,12 x 3.46 Ghz 6-Core32 GB MemorySapphire Pulse RX 580 (8 GB)

I'm using a plugin called CompsFromSpreadsheet to automatically create a bunch of compositions from a template, with as little editing as possible. I want to set one of my object layers to move up or down depending on how many lines are in the text layer above, so there will always be the same distance between the last line of text and the object regardless of how long the paragraph is. Is this possible?

I don't know how to access the output module settings in script without creating a template manually. Example:If I want to get JPEG Sequence settings to be set in Output module. How to do it in code... Many examples have shown to use outputModule.applyTemplate("JPEG Sequence");but I have to create template manually. Is there any other code get settings without doing it manually. Thanks for your time!

Malheureusement j'ai ce message d'erreur qui m'empêche d'utiliser le logiciel... Je suis sur mon propre PC personnel, sur une adresse personnelle, dans mes abonnements sur mon compte c'est bien indiqué que j'ai un abonnement actif, mais quoi que je fasse, ce message apparaît... J'ai même changer l'adresse mail une deuxième fois mais rien à faire...J'ai aussi évidemment lancer en tant qu'admin, toujours le même soucis. Merci d'avance pour vos réponses.

Hi We have designed a Christmas card and would like to make use of some stock footage to replace the chroma key object and replace with our card. I'm reasonably familiar with keying and motion tracking but I thought that one of these stock assets would be a quick and easy way to do what I need. I can't for the life of me figure out how to use this. If the green 'card' object is static then obviously I can just key it out and replace with my card, but with it in motion and the envelope obscuring part of the box I'm not sure how to proceed. Do I need to create a mask from the box and track my replacement card to that? Could someone please shed some light, I feel like there's something really obvious I'm missing.   Many thanks 

Hi everybody, Please tell me there's a keyboard shortcut to exit the expressions editor? I'm tired of constantly having to find some arbitrary way to de-active or exit the editor. At least in Photoshop you can hit CMD-Enter to exit text fields. I'd hope there's something like that in After Effects. Thanks for reading. 🙂

Last time I wanted to use motion blur for one of my project's. I turned it on, checked the 3d render engine, set shutter angle, enable it on the timeline aswell as on the adjustment layer (I don't know what to call it), but even with all of these elements checked, when I create a simple shape keyframe animation, the motion blur is just not displaying, no matter if I have it turned on or off. Even the cc motion blur effect won't change it. I even checked a similar post created 1 year ago, but none of the ideas have solved my problem. Does anyone have any ideas what can I possibly to do solve this problem?

Hi, I'm trying to recreate this animation using puppet tool but after using puppet pins and animating the wok, it left behind dash lines when I play the animation. How can I fix this? 

My AfterEffects timeline (showing a timeline of a construction project), cuts off our imported illustrator timeline. We added a few 'points' in 2023 after that AE doesn't show the full illustrator artboard. AE knows there is something there but it looks like it is somehow masked. 

I'm trying to recreate the effect of the background from this video(I added the video under this post). However I don't understand how they grabbed the image and were able to lay it over the original image again. What key where they holding when they did that? (I do understand how they put in the loop key) Thanks for the help!

I had to have Surgery on my Cyst filled with Blood. I decided to turn this into an opportunity for My YouTube Channel, and make "A Homemade Dr. Pimple Popper Video." Then, I will upload it onto YouTube. However, the Practical Lighting (or motivated lighting) from the "Surgical Light" in the Office where it was recorded was too bright. I need that lighting reduced for the viewers to see the surgery, but I'm having trouble doing it. Could you please help me accomplish this task? Would you mind looking at the Video and giving me suggestions on how to accomplish this task, please? Hi. Hope someone can help. Im creating a 3d animation of a logo by duplicating multiple iterations of a 16bit .png image 1px apart on the Z axis.  I have followed a tutorial on YouTube to the letter. Layers 1 > 16 are fine but then I get a black boxes around each .png past layers 17 and onwards up to 80. Is this a rendering / GPU issue? See the screenshots below. Hi everyone,I'm making a video using pictures and videos from my recent trip to Hawaii, and I'm looking for some guidance on adding effects to a part of the video. To summarize, I want to add the Light Rays or Glow effects to a silhouette of a turtle that's underwater. Before I begin, I'm relatively new to the Adobe product suite, with basic Photoshop and Premiere Pro experience. For example, I know what a layer is, but a mask is uncharted territory. I am more than willing to dedicate the time and effort needed to complete this project the correct way; I just need a solid jumping-off point. Here's more detail about my goal and the material with which I'm working. For the material, I have an underwater video I took with a GoPro. At several points in the video, you can see the faint silhouette of a turtle swimming in the distance. So I'm trying to flip an eyelash by replicating it in a video I saw but I can't seem to get the same effect by uaing the scale method. All it does is make the eyelash small before expanding back into it's normal shape. (See the video and gif in the attachments) Any help is greatly appreciated!
