Hello! I'm working on an effect where it looks like light is moving through a room that is a still photo. I'm using the CC Radial Fast Blur effect and changing the position of the center to create the movement. The issue is that no matter what I do, there is always a single frame with a glitch where a big chunk of the effect is missing. See screenshots below. I've tried adjusting the curve on the speed graph, and that just moves the glitch to a different frame. Any ideas?  

I saw some other posts here talking about UI problems. I'm guessing its a bug related to gpu. This bug is not present in older versions. For me, the composition preview panel is incredibly slow. It takes ages to update the preview after panning around or zooming in or out and moving objects around the scene. Like I pan the preview/canvas a bit with the middle mouse button, and then it takes 3 seconds for the move to register and show me the updated preview.  Again, this is only an issue with the latest version. I have seen others with an AMD GPU, so im suspecting its a bug that has something to do with the GPU. Another hint i found, when installing the older AE 2024, it took some time optimizing for my GPU when i first started the program. something the newer version did not. I think this is the root of the issue.  I'm using an AMD RX6600

The channel blur plugin produces NaNs in 32 bit mode, especially when "repeat edge pixels" is on. The NaNs are on random frames every time the composition is rendered. This happens on both Windows and Macs, with the latest public release.While the NaNs can be hard to see as individual pixels, they cause major problems when other effects are rendered on top.I have attached an example project that reproduces this, and includes some rendered examples as well.

This is a screenshot of CC2019 and the latest (Beta).Obviously the HDR parameters are missing.Have there been any major changes to the HDR solution in any of the versions along the way?Oddly enough the latest Lumetri Color plugin info shows v1.1.CC2019 showed v3. 

For whatever reason After effects keeps crashing whenever I open a project that works perfectly on another computer. It worked also perfectly on the computer I am using, but it stopped working recently. Could you help me please ? in After Effects 24.2.1, and also the previous Version (24.1.x) exportAsMotionGraphicsTemplate() is not returning the correct value, when build into an alert or if-statement. in 22.x and currently 23.6.2 exportAsMotionGraphicsTemplate() returnes 'true' upon successfully finishing the export progress. in 24.2.1. the same script returns 'false' also i think in the future it should be possible to disable 'include video previews' via scripting. Thank you very much!

Every single time i try opening a project i get a missing data 33:4 error I was editing on my laptop when my monitor just stopped working but my computer was still running, so I pressed ctrl + s before i manually power off the computer. Upon restart I get nothing but a 33:4 error. I've tried opening it on 2025, same issue, importing into a new project same issue, ive downloaded older version and same issue. Im doing this for a school project due by 2/7/2025 so any help would be greatly appreciated on how to fix this

Hi, I have a user who keeps having the System crash. After Effect, even when not in use but open, is taking 190GB of RAM... The MacBook, An M4 Max with 36 GB of RAM, is coping with the high demand, but when it reaches 190GB RAM, the system crashes (obviously)  What to do? she has installed After effect 25.1.0

Hello everyone,I'm experiencing an issue with After Effects 2025 where the software does not use more than 16GB of RAM, even though I have 32GB installed and allocated 27GB in the preferences.System Specs:CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D (8 cores / 16 threads, 4.2 GHz)RAM: 32GB (31.2GB usable)GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT (20GB VRAM GDDR6)OS: Windows 11 Pro 64-bitIssue Details:Even when working on heavy compositions, RAM usage never exceeds 16GB in Task Manager.CPU and GPU utilization appear normal while using other Adobe software.The system runs fine, but AE seems bottlenecked and is not using the available RAM efficiently Has anyone else faced this issue or found a fix? Hi, does anyone know how to solve this issue regarding Adobe After Effects? I've updated my drivers, reinstalled them, deleted caches and even purged and check for every solution possible. This issue happened just this morning when I updated Windows.  

hi, i have a problem. When i use after effects 2024 it uses all the ram while nothing is happening and it gives me the low memory warning. And when i want to cache before playback it stops almost imminently and it doesnt matter where i want to cache before playback, it always stops. i also have when i restart the laptop and start after effects it gives me the low memory warning while i have no other apps open.I uploaded a image where you can see i only have a video, no effects or anything, and it doesnt want to play.i already cleared cache and i did that after effects uses 24/32 gb rami use after effects 2024and i have a macbook m1 pro 14 inch with 32 gbs ram  could anyone help me?

I have a Cinema4d animation: a Formula object whose Y(t) parameter changes along with frame number with Expresso and a small Python script. Rendering works correctly in Cinema4d but during rendering with After Effect V2025 the Y(t) is not changing. Here are the relevant pieces of information.Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Under certain conditions, AE 25.01 is not auto-saving.When starting a new project in 25.01, auto-save works fine. However, when I open a project created in version 24 in 25.01, auto-save does not work.Here are the methods I’ve tried:Changed the auto-save interval to 1, 3, and 10 minutesSaved the project after loading a version 24 project in various ways: overwriting the file, saving under a new name, and saving as version 24xChanged the save location from the project folder to a specified folderEnabled save when starting the render queueDespite these attempts, it seems that no auto-save folder is created, and auto-save does not work.I accidentally deleted a composition, realized it a few minutes later, and couldn’t retrieve it, which was very frustrating. Just some simple question: Why are we still in 2025 when working on a project and importing another project into it or dragging something from an extension? After Effects stays unresponsive for about 5 minutes each time and every time we need to lose our precious time waiting for After Effects to work again, and not stay either with a black canvas or with a frozen one. I work daily with After Effects which stresses me a lot and makes me lose a lot of time.  

Hey,I've spent most of my afternoon trying to fix a bug. Long story short, I've recieved a file from a mac which requires me to relink some assets. (I already had the assets from another project file I was working on) when I try to relink them I get the error "After Effects warning: Invalid ascent count '0'". This is happening on MP4s MOVs and PNGs, probably other file formats too... I have 500 files to relink...The strange thing is, in my other project file I can relink things fine. Also, I can directly import the files without getting the error and they work fine. So the files themselves don't seem corrupt. Is this a new bug? Or a long issue between mac and PC.(For context, these are a few of the files I'm trying to relink, I've tried coverting them to mp4, changing the name, everything... and always get this error) Any help would be amazing,Danny 

Please help! While I was editing the timeline disappeared and won't come back. I tried closing and reopening after effects but that didn't work, I tried switching workspaces and that didn't fix it either.

Trying to install and run AE 25.1. (or even the beta).  no luck.  the startup goes fine until it crashed with an error messaying  "Transmit plugin 'DecklinkTransmit' has crashed".25.01 started up just fine.   very frustrating. I've tired un-insalling, reinstalling  and starting up in safe mode,   no luck.tried to do a search to locate any plugin by that name, no luck.any idea?  thnks.

After Effects 25.1  freezes with an auto-save pop up. tried disabling effects, but there is no changes please advise,   sharing the error report below and  system details  PFA  2.6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB16 GB 2667 MHz DDR4Mac os 15.1 (24B83)    

I'm having a repeat, and incredibly annoying bug happen with the latest AE.  I'm working in a particularly complex project, plenty of EXR passes, Particular, optical flares, RSMB, etc going on. It takes a long time to render (no problem there, that is as expected). When I RAM preview comps in it and then hit escape to stop RAM previewing, as it has taken so long to RAM preview the Autosave function kicks in straight away. Instead of Autosaving the autosave box pops up, completely greyed out and then AE just hangs there for eternity, meaning that I have to kill AE via the Task Manager and restart it - losing both my project progress and RAM preview progress (that may have taken 20-60 minutes to do). I don't particularly want to have to turn autosave off everytime I do a lengthy RAM preview. Also, when rendering the composite out via the Render Queue I'm having it hang on me when I cancel it there, also meaning that I have to restart AE. Please get this fixed!&nb

When turned on, draft 3d feature makes after effects closes each time when that project file is opened. It says "Before quitting, you have one chance to save your project" and after I save it, it closes itself. Doesnt happen when I open the file while holding Ctrl, but after releasing Ctrl it happens again.After effects is not saying the software is crashed either. After effects keeps crashing. I'm using the latest version, booting in safe mode, resetting settings, but it doesn't work. I've updated the Nvidia graphics card and bios, I've turned off the login screen, I've deleted and reinstalled, but it's still not fixed.My computer13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900HX 2.20 GHzRam 32.0 GBWin 11 pro 24H2Geforce RTX 4070

When moving the Canvas, it drags behind my cursor and its really irritatingly slow and laggy. This isnt happening on any other Adobe App and when reverting to an older Version of AE its not happening either. Ive tried uninstalling the App, clearing cache and nothing is working. When working on my less powerful MacBook im not experiencing any lag. What is going on??

Any font, any layer set-up the text layers input or editing is lagging for about 1-2 seconds after keystrokes. Pasting more than 10 words sometimes crashes the app. Started somewhere in 2021, still an issue.  Win11, v25.1.0
