After Effects

I have a 30-minute mp4 video that I shot with OBS, I throw it into the media encoder without applying any effects etc. and the size becomes 3 GB.What is the reason of this?- Please don't say lower the video bitrate.

 For AE 2024 last update , Win 11 I Couldn't export this comp

I have been facing an issue with not only AE but Adobe stoftware in general where some days it suddenly decides to eat all of my Laptop's RAM without causing any problems, while others, it slows down everything. I dont know why this isn't happening all the time- sometimes a restart or a few fix the problem, while other times they don't. I have cleaned the Disk-Cache a few times as well, which also doesn't always help though. Just today I have been trouble shooting for the majority of the time, until, after one longer shut-down, AE ran smoothly again. Admittedly, there is reason to spuspect that this could be an issue with the PC as a whole; but since I mostly use Adobe/AE software while using it, sometimes having the entire laptop crash, I thought I'd ask here first. Also, all drivers (CPU & GPU) are on their latest version. Any help or ideas would be appreciated!

While rendering an image sequence from After Effect, there is no "Write ACES compliant EXR" like we have in nuke. The embed colour profile option from After Effect doesn't seem to have much effect. Even importing that footage back to After Effect, the media colour profile shows as none (using OCIO, not adobe color management). We have had a request from clients to provide image sequences in ACES for them to grade. While the output was definitely in ACES, the metadata had no information about it, so when they would bring it in the grading software it would return an error, allegedly. To get that metadata, we would then take that image sequence, process it through Nuke (read/write) with the "Write ACES compliant EXR" setting on. Is there a way to embed the colorspace in the metadata? If not can Adobe fix this please?

Cada vez que abro After Effects (no importa la versión), la vista de la composición se congela. Todo el resto de la interfaz sigue funcionando, incluso puedo manejar los elementos que están en la vista, pero no los puedo ver porque la vista se congeló en el último fotograma visto y ahí quedó. Vi que esto le sucedió a varias personas, he usado GPUs menos potentes y no he tenido ningun problema, así que no creo que el problema venga por recursos de mi pc. Veo que es un caso que le ha pasado a bastante gente y aún no han tenido solución. Alguien me puede ayudar con esto? Gracias!

Hallo Communitiy,seit gestern bekomme ich die Fehlermeldung "Mercury 3D wird von der aktuellen Hardware nicht unterstüzt." wenn ich AfterEffects (23.6.3) öffne. Zudem wird meine Grafikarte (Geforce GTX1060) in den GPU-Einstellungen nicht mehr erkannt.Wenn ich AfterEffects als Administrator öffne, kommt die Fehlermeldung nicht und die Grafikkarte wird wie immer richtig erkannt. Diese Bugginess nervt einfach nur noch. Weiß jemand, wie ich die Fehlermeldung wieder weg bekomme? Vielen lieben Dank schon mal.

Tenho sofrido com o desempenho do preview do After Effects.Atualmente utilizo um PC novo, com 32 gb de Ram e 8gb da Placa de Vídeo, com configurações recentes e avançadas. Gostaria de saber se existe alguma indicação da Adobe para otimizar esse desempenho?No caso o que ocorre muito é lag no preview ou então algum bug na visualização, de forma que não consigo visualizar.   Por ser um equipamento novo, considero que a questão é realmente o software, visto que o computador atende a todos requisitos que são os indicados para os softwares da Creative Cloud.   Title edited by Mod.

I've created this Gradient Controller https://youtu.be/1UaZNcVobhg?si=c_kJ0Y9vpdnM4kEG but I need to change and apply that expression to 3D shape layers that form the grid (everything same as in the tutorial, only change is that the layer is supposed to be 3D, not 2D). I need to turn on Collapse Transformations on that precomped grid and work with it as a background in the animation where I animate in 3D space, meaning I need those shape layers to be sharp even if I get close to the grid with the 3D camera. I have already checked all those few threads speaking about this problem but I can't get nothing of it to get to work. Every help would be highly appreciated, thank you very, very much in advance

I have been trying for the last few days to use Mocha Pro to mesh track this back and nothing seems to work.I have tried to follow the advice of the offical Mocha reddit account and It still doesn't work the mesh always goes way off of the surface I am trying to track. https://vimeo.com/manage/videos/926485478Everytime I try to track the back it messes up like this.

Hi everyone, I'm fetching data from database with curl (system.callSystem), and data encoding is UTF-8. When I fetch data it returns wrong data. For example, correct should be: 'Aïn Beïda' but it returns 'Aïn Beïda'. I tried fetching same exact command in terminal and the encoding is correct, seems like extendscript is doing something weird. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi, Everytime I draw a new stroke it comes with zero opacity and then I have to manually set it to 100 from the properties. I am so upset. Please help me. am using Ae 2024.

I have a sequence with an iPad model created in Cineware that is taking over 80 hours to render. This also causes the program to slow tremendously when playing the sequence. Not sure what I can do to fix this.My system specs are: 32gb ram rtx 3090AMD Ryzen 7 5800xOn a side note I had to roll back to version 24.1 to use Cineware.

How do I change the color of text once I've added fractal noise to the text?

I have been working on quite a few drone videos, cutting up the clips in Premiere and bringing them into After Effects. I will drag the 3D Camera Tracking effect onto the video and it will analize just fine. When I select a triangle and click add text it looks good untill I hit play. The text does not anchor to the ground like it should. This only happens on some and not others even though I am doing everything the same way.

Originally the file was in CMYK, but even after switching the AI file(s) to RGB and reloading it in AE, the colours are still faded. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I've included a screenshot of my file colours below - note how all of the outlines are supposed to be the same shade of black.

Hi,    I have 3 mechanical parts in AftereEffects A, B and C on different layers. There are 3 axis of rotation m, n and o. Green part is rigid (static). How to animate A around m in such a way that B should move respectively (B is attached to axis n) but other end of B is also attached to C on axis o. B should push the C in a linear direction along with Brown part. 

I am doing a pretty simple line animation and it is working great, however, whenever I change the color to anything other than black it shows up almost hollow looking, not solid. Is there an easy fix for this?

Hello,I've struggled with a weird problem for a while now.After Effects user interface is lagging a lot when working aroung in there. For an example working with keyframes or moving elements around on the preview panel or moving the layers in the timeline... Pretty much everywhere. Even in a project file with only audio file added to the timeline the UI lags... and during preview the audio is having a static effect.I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software. Updated drivers for graphics card, external sound card etc. Tried different settings in Preferences > Preview, Media Cache, Audio hardware, bought a new separate SSD just for Cache files. Nothing has worked so far. Even went through the trouble and did a clean format to the PC, installed the OS, drivers and apps from scratch. Lag still there. Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere all are working fine. The problem only occurs in After Effects. And for months now. Whats going on?I have the latest AE version.Processor AMD

Getting the "low memory warning" in Ae  24.2.1. I am running on a brand new iMac M3 - 24 ram - 1 tb drive. I have no plug-ins installed.  Sessions devolve into 10 - 20 frames previewed only no matter what quaility level I choose.  Definatly a bug in the software. I am 16+ year user of Ae. I did try the Beta version and no luck there either.

Whenever I import anything to my timeline and try to play it back it plays back probably 20-30% faster than it should. Even the timer counts the seconds way faster than it should. But if I do work on it and export it, the exported file will play at normal speed. On a maybe related note, I keep getting a message about not having enough space for the disk cache and no matter what I do it still says that... could that have anything to do with it? Should I just disable the disk cache thing? (I honestly don't know what it does) I don't know what else to say about it I couldn't find anything else about this specific problem so if you can find anything please link it to me. I am just extremely frustrated right now because it's impossible for me to properly edit anything like this.
