Like depending on the decibels or frequencies on left or right ear

I'm new to the whole After Effects community and I am currently using it for a project.I followed a tutorial by Mt. Mograph on youtube and I downloaded the script "Ease and Wizz".I have it as a panel and all, but every time I attempt to apply my desired expression, a popup box says that there is a script alert and it can't find the file for the expression.Is there something that I'm doing wrong? I have tried to remove the script and download it again, but nothing has worked for me.

Hi, When After-Effects (2023, 2024, and at least since 2020) is running, using the command line with "AfterFx.com -r scriptPath" will directly return in the command line (not desired behaviour) and I would like to know if it is possible to make it blocking.If I use -m to create a new instance, the command is waiting until the end of the script (desired behaviour). To test that behaviour, I use the following script:```$.writeln("starting script");$.sleep(10 * 1000);$.writeln("end of script");``` I had a previous post here Best regards

Hi! I'm creating a project and faced a problem I don't know how to solve or whether it's possible to solve at all.Let it say for simplicity I have a rectangle scaling up in the beginning and down in the end of the comp and Fractal Noise on background with animated evolution through the whole comp length. So I have both In-Out and continuous types of animation together.I want to be able to change comp duration by creating protected regions - intro and outro, where my scale keyframes of rectangle are. The problem is when I change Comp duration with Intro and Outro markers it works fine for rectangle but it changes fractal noise in time making it faster or slower.  Is there any way to lock continuous animation from time remap making it just to trim according to Intro and Outro markers while still having ability to change the whole comp duration with markers? Or maybe there is some other option to be able to control comp duration with both In-Out an continuous

Motion Paths won't display. I'm using the latest updates for AE CS5 and nVidia. Motion Paths have never been visible in AE CS5 all the way back to nVidia driver version 178.x, in fact. What to do?

After Effects 24.2.1 não responde no windows 10, já fiz o downgrade para outras versões, mas continua não respondendo. após essa atualização, as versões anteriores não respondem também, sempre abre a tela de "Start in Safe Mode, Reset Preferences, Manage Plungins, Continue", mas mesmo clicando em todas as opções, o mesmo continua não respondendo.

When I press the format options button to change my rendering settings, the settings window that appears is unnecessarily large. It is five times the size of the Output module window and half of it extends to the left of the screen. Every time I close After Effects and reopen it, I have to reduce the size of this window again.Does anyone know how to permanently fix the size of the Format options window to a smaller size? Thanks. 

Hello,Not sure if this is just me or what, but I find this tool very obstinate. Once it thinks it has found the masking edges, it is very hard to adjust using brush strokes. I am finding that I am spending about 5 minutes a frame trying to clean up the mask because instead of it looking at where I put the stroke, it will make great changes or no changes at all. Often I find that by drawing a closed shape it will somrtimes catch on. Unless all you need it for it face detection, which is what all the videos seems to be about, it is not much better than masking mnaually frame by frame. I really think there should be a way to manually adjust the mask like a regular mask can be. This brushing method feels like a constant battle with the software to get what you want. it's fine to get the initial mask shape, but fine detailing it is not working with this brush method. There can be obvious contrasting edges and it will not figure it out. Anyone else get better results?

I guess this is really it then? Creative Cloud app only shows 24 and 23 apps for download, no 2022 listed anywhere. When I click on link provided under those versions, I just get some blog post from Adobe about registering a serial number for ancient Adobe products which isn't what 2022 is. Currently we're not even using 24 since it's such a low quality buggy mess, so really 2023 and 2022 and well within the realm of products customers need, yet I can't seem to find an install for 2022. This is why I unironically never uninstall any apps if I can't help it on my machine, I know Adobe devs and execs live in their own fantasy world separate of working professionals most of the time but I can't emphasize how many times AE 2019 for example has saved my as-s on projects that bugged out in even 2022, 2023, etc. It's is highly irresponsible of Adobe just nix access to these legacy apps like it's no big deal. Is it Adobe creative directors being scared of app clutter or som

Hi! I have added the Light Sweep effect to a logo and now I want to make some changes. For some reason I can't find/see the Center control anymore (the handle that positions the light). Do I need to activate it somehow after choosing the correct layer/effect? /LS

I downloaded ccs for some edits I will make and they were in the format of ffx which can only be used in adobe after effects. I work on a MacBook, can anyone tell me how I can export an effect to a different file format?

Hi!I am currently working on a project where I have to add an animated hairstyle to live-action footage. The hairstyle is quite Elvis-hairspray-like, so the idea is that the hair does not deform much except for perspective changes. Thus, in order to quicken my workflow, I am trying to come up with a way where I can use tracking data as both a mask and a surface deformer. To be more specific: I can track the head's shape by tracking a mask, but then I also want to use this tracking data to deform a solid or an image that contains the hair texture, so it can follow the perspective change of the head. Is there a way to do that? Pehraps with Mocha? I hope I am explaining it clear enough and please let me know if u need more info!

Using Turbulent Displace with an animated "Evolution" property crashes After Effects. Using After Effects 24.2.1 in Windows 11. GPU drivers are up to date. I've been using Turbulent Displace for years now to create a jumpy squiggly line effect on text and drawings. Just after the most recent update, it now crashes the app in all but the most simple comps. If a comp has only one or two elements, it seems to work okay, but any comp of complexity (10 or more layers, nested comps, etc.) crashes if Turbulent Displace in introduced in any way (on an adjustment layer or individual layers or on the comp as a whole). I have an Intel i9 CPU, RTX 4080 GPU and 64GB of RAM. Again, been using TD for years in this way and never encountered this. Very easy to replicate, and I've methodically eliminated all other effects and plugins. The crash happens with complete predictability within seconds of applying Turbulent Displace with an animated Evolution parameter.

Hello After Effects Community, I have been having occasional Windows Blue Screen of Deaths (BSOD) when running After Effects. I am on Version 24.1.0 (Build 78). My Windows info is the following... Windows 11 ProProcessor 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900K 3.00 GHzInstalled RAM 32.0 GB (31.7 GB usable) My system administrator pulled the log when the BSOD occured and narrowed it down to an issue with After Effects. Can anyone make sense of this or at least help point us in the correct direction? Hi, i use a lot this symbol ( ® ) in after effects. In other basic application, even notepad, if i type this symbol, it is recognized natively with superscript style. In after effects instead, it appear as standard size character.Is there any options about this?If not, an expression to apply to layer text would be great. I tried with "sourceText.replace", but it replace with the same, non superscript, character.I use also mogrph files in premiere, so i have not access to text formatting options for a single charThanks

I get this error when sending from Premier Pro to After Effects

Good morning,I have a problem with After Effects performance:When AE reaches a certain number of levels in the timeline everything becomes very slow (selecting keyframes in the timeline, moving program windows etc... it's as if the whole program is lagging)To do a test I created 30 solids of 50px per side (so quite light) in an FHD composition and the performance drop is incredible!I attach my PC specifications which, although not high-end, should not cause problems of this type in such light projects.Thanks in advance;Davis

Hi! Can someone help me with the best way to create a falling animation with a looping effect like the one below (this is just a still image, I can't upload video). It's a looping animation with the same objects you see in this image that just keeps looping. I know how to get the objects in etc., it is only the falling/looping animation. Thanks in advance!
