After Effects

Hi everyone, I’m having a weird issue with After Effects 2025. My preview playback is extremely laggy even though my PC specs should be more than enough.Specs:• i9-14900K• RTX 5070• 64GB RAMI’ve attached a video showing the problem. Even with simple compositions, previews stutter badly and don’t play in real time.Has anyone experienced this or know what could be causing it? Any settings I should check or common fixes?Thanks!

When will you fix this?? Every time I use the RECENT list to access a project, open and then go to save, the folder that should open should be where the file comes from but no, it opens to where I last saved a project. Been asking for this fix for ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,I am getting this error while opening AE, and I have tried opening in safe mode, reset prefrence, but didnt work, always getting this error, i have tried reinstalling AE too, but still didn't worked. I have remove AEjuice Manager too.

Before previous update, preview render worked fine. Now, it is slow and clunky... I need to purge ALL before it works like it used to. Please fix!!!   [abuse removed by moderator (title)]

upgrade to mac Tahoe is it woking?

I'm trying to extend the duration of my layers on AE but when I do. They become transparent even after increasing the duration of the whole the composition. I have manually extended the layers but they dont show past a certain point in the timeline. What could be the problem?

so i recently discovered this issue where my effects on the text would go on and off at the start. I already tried clearing cache, restarting my pc and reinstalling gpu drivers but it still flickers on and off. what's also weird is that i was able to make and export a video just fine without this issue a few hours ago. I am on after effects 2024 and I haven't tried it on after effects 2025. I attached a video below of what the flickering looks like.

Hello, I've been trying to render this video for a while now but I've noticed a reoccurring issue when rewatching the finished video. The start and end of the video always comes out glitchy and I have yet to seen anything else like this. Is there any way to fix this?

Hi, I would like to create a script for a UI Script panel with two separate buttons: one for X Position and one for Y Position.The script should first separate the dimensions of the selected layer. Then, each button will apply the following expressions:PosX button: [thisComp.width] * 1/2PosY button: [thisComp.height] * 1/2 

Thought I would revive this old problem. Discretely fails to persist shortly after launch showing the sign up to newsletter page and the stand alone plugin app before crashing. Mocha has never been used. AE is up to date. Laptop is 1.5 years old - gaming spec ASUS Tuff with aftermarket 32GB ram, 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12650H (2.30 GHz),  RTX 3050 GeForce.

AE shows invisible ghost image on alpha channel in completely empty compositionNo layers, no effects, color management disabled, Photoshop PSD/PSB clearedGhost persists in final render on M4 Pro, the latest AE update. 

Hello, and thank you in advance for the help!I am in the Middle of creating a Lower Third that I would like to turn into a MOGRT.Here is the Dillema/setup:I have a Left and Right Bracket ([, ]) animating on, whereas the Right Bracket moves Left to right, and I have a mask wiping on the text following the right bracket.  So basically seen as this after it animates in. I've updated to the latest After Effects but noticed that when i press spacebar to use the hand tool to move around my comp the timeline plays, this is not how it should behave. Did Adobe in their infinite wisdom, change something? 

Good Day! I've been stuck here for days installing the my After Effects 2025 (ver. 25.2.2) add-on: Cinema4d by Maxon. It seems that its not pushing through with the installation, its just stuck at 88%.  Need Help! 

It's been reported before and has not been solved yet, double clicking a text layer having Animation Composer installed gives the annoying After Effects error: having to focus on ourselves. (76 :: 59).Animation Composer team already has stated that it's a problem Adobe has to solve and it's been reported before, it's just a debug message that constantly pops in interrupting work, over and over again, just poping in, nothing else. It's beyond my comprehension why that message was not removed until now.Please, save me the answers like "install a previous version of AE of AC" we all know that works, the problem needs to be fixed in the current version, it does not make sense to loose all the great new funtions because of a problem as simple as this one.

Hi,For some time now, I have noticed that the gizmo arrows of a 3D object do not rotate with the object.In this example, the red square is rotated on several axes but the gizmos are still oriented as they were originally... Would you know how to solve this problem, please?I'm using After Effects 25.6.0.

How do I turn off Tip of the day from showing on the composiiton panel? This is going to be destracting to viewers when I am screen recording tutorials. I already have Show Tool Tips turned off in my preferences. 

I have precomped a 30sec snowfall over a tiff with some other layers that just turn on and off to simulate Christmas lights blinking. Went into the comp, enabled time remap, moved the last keyframe back one, deleted the last keyframe, and at the spot of the new last keyframe I now get this with lines all over it.  I have cleared cache. Don't know what to do, I need this to loop for 60min.screenshots show the glitch keyframe and the next frame before/after the keyframe The first time I rendered it without even knowing it would produce the black frame unless I did the keyframe drop. So I rendered it first and discovered the black frame issue every 30 seconds - so I did the keyframe drop and now this glitch. 

Hi, bei der Nutzung von AE lassen sich in der Tool bar bei den Icons mit dropdown Menü die Tool groups nicht aufklappen. Muss ich noch etwas Spezielles dafür einstellen (WIN 11)?
