BEWARE!If your projects contain .c4d files DO NOT upgrade to 24.1! They will no longer open.Luckily reverting to AE 24.0.3 alows to open the files so they are not really damaged as per After effects message. (File is damaged 33::7)  

I imported a composition from After Effects into Premiere Pro and got this bug. I don't know what to do, I tried to fix it in various ways, but nothing helped.All animations were imported as usual, but still the screen is split and the image is moving apart. I was able to get out of the situation a little bit only by pre-rendering the composition in AE.P.S Even rendering in Premiere Pro does not fix anything.

Hello, I'm currently working on two projects and I noticed that the fonts are no longer available when I saved, closed and reopened the project to continue working on it. Version of AE: 24.5Windows Also the second screenshot attached shows the list of fonts not available that I have used so far on one of the projects. I have cleared my cache and restarted by PC but nothing has worked so far.These are Adobe fonts and they are active on my account from Adobe Creative Cloud. Please what other solution should I consider as I'm stuck at the moment. Thank you. 

Every time I try to install this plugin AE stops me telling me it already exists. Every time I check for the duplicated plugin AE says I have the folder for it doesn't even exist as show in the image above. Any idea for what I can do? I am on Mac 10.13.6

Situation: The shortcut for setting a keyframe will always display as whatever property is selected under Animation → Add Keyframe . So, if a Position keyframe is selected, it will appear as Add Position Keyframe in the Animation menu. If a Time Remap value is selected, it will display as Add Time Remap Keyframe. Issue: It will also display as Add Time Remap Keyframe in the shortcuts manager (if selected before opening up the manager), implying one can set a custom shortcut specifically for Time Remapping. The shortcut manager will display the keystroke for Add Keyframe as Add WHATEVER VALUE HAS BEEN SELECTED Keyframe. So it tricks you into thinking one could set up shortcuts for specific properties. It probably simply references what the Animation Menu is showing, whereas it shouldn’t (in this specific case at least). Hey guys! So I need to add a sun and the flares here, I am working in Aces 1.2, 32 bpc. But whenever I try to add it to the scene, The color values goes to infinity or -inf, How do I fix this please without a bad looking clamp, Like not using levels clamp since its too bad. 

Hi there everyone .. Does someone know how  can if fix this issue it that the 3d models i created  in blender and then save it as .glb file ,and importing it to aftereffects  only shows controlsand  not the object.Ihave  tried ver 24.1  and  now 24.5 the same  problem  presists .The  advanced 3d renderer is not working for  me .here  is  the screenshot attached. 

Aparte de que no me aparecen los controladores o puntos de anclas en mis trazados para poder manejarlos, tambien esta este problema de que por ejemplo quiero hacer una forma lineas pero se auto curban mis figuras y anteriormente no me pasaba eso, y quisiera saber si hay alguna solucion a estos problemas.Gracias.

It is a long known problem, but not solved yet.Often the preview is not working, until i change the Audio-Hardware to another device.Then the preview behaves as expected. After some time this happens again and i have to change the audi-hardware device again to another one than already selected.

Hi After Effects team, I recently got into the world of expressions, and I noticed something that feels like a bug, so I'm reporting it here 🙂 When you try to rename an effect name that's linked inside an expression, using a try catch method. Using Ae 24.1   I imported a tracked .jsx camera exported from google earth studio which came into After Effects with the classic 3D renderer. It kept the tracking data and looked beautiful. When I switched to the advanced 3D renderer in order to add a custom 3D model (GBL), the camera shakes. Also, the extruded text and models don't appear correctly—  as if the fields are separated. see picture. Is this a known issue? Is there a fix? I can of course, use the C4D renderer to extrude the type but I cant import a gbl 3D model directly into Ae and using the C4dlite to accomplish the same feat seems like overkill. So I thought I'd inquire here. Thanks! 

I apologize if this is a double post. I can't seem to find my first one. "Include project link" is not working--specifically with Prores 422LT Quicktime outputs in AE 24.5. It works in other Prores options, such as 422 vanilla and 4444, just not with 422LT. It worked in all previous versions of AE, so this is specific to 24.5. The issue is confirmed on three different Win 11 workstations.

Since a couple of weeky some scripts suddenly stopped working. I was able to tackle down the problem. I created a script with just one line:  alert(Folder.userData) // null I am on a Macbook Pro M1 / OSX Ventura 13.2. Problem appeared in AE 22 & 23. I deleted everything and only installed 23.2.0.  Same Script works within AI and PS and outputs:~/Library/Application%20Support   

How long has this been going on and you still haven't come up with a way to stop it???   Instead of annual releases of garbage new features that we didn't ask for, just fix the basics and do your jobs! 

Opening the exact same project in version 24.5.0 and 24.3.0 respectively gives a very different result... It looks like the light intensity multiplyer is interpreted totally different, however toning down the lights drastically (/8) still doesn't lead to the same visual result.. Has anyone experienced this discrepancy too? 24.5.0  24.3.0

I have had this problem with After Effects for several months (Only with this program, the others work fine).I hardly use After Effects only for specific things, but every time I start the program, any action I take begins to consume all the allocated Ram memory that I have, (68GB ram)I have to debug the memory and cache every 3 minutes, but it is not enough, and there are moments where the entire PC hangs and the screen goes black, (it only happens with After Effects, it does not happen with other programs or video games )I don't know what to do anymore, I have visited forums and none of them have a concrete answer, I hope someone here can help meI attach photos of the specifications of my computer and the error that I get very often.

When using expressions to specify a layer name on any property of a layer, if the layer name is modified on the timeline, the layer name in the expression will automatically update.However, if the specified layer name is non-English (e.g., Japanese) and is changed to an English name, the expression will update automatically. If changed to a name containing non-English characters, the layer name in the expression will not update automatically, resulting in expression errors.The same situation applies to text layers with non-English names. Even if the name remains unchanged, modifying the text content will still cause expression errors. This issue does not occur with English-named layers when modifying their text content. After effects 2024 24.5 WIn10.

Every time i'm trying to use after effects 24 for my project the screen freezes on a random part of the preview. You can see in the picture here that all the layers are turned off yet it's frozen on the intro, and it always stops me from playing any type of preview. I've restarted AE many times, I've purged cache, change render mode from cuda etc. nothing is working. the edit is mainly a 3D edit using cameras and null layers Specs: Adobe After Effects 24.5I9 11900K RTX 3070TI 32GB RAM2TB SSD 

I'll explain my situation. I want to track a video. To track it, I used 'Track Camera.' In the 'Shot Type' section, I selected 'Fixed Angle of View,' and finally, in 'Solve Method,' I chose 'Typical.'Then I created a solid with the generated points, oriented the solid with a script called 'Orient World' to bring it into Cinema 4D.After completing this step, I exported the project in C4D to add objects and set up the scene, but for some reason, After Effects does not update any changes I make in C4D; it simply doesn't load anything.I tried various new versions (2024 and 2023) of After Effects and it remains the same. The version of Cinema 4D I use is 23.0.1. Thank you very much for your help in advance.Regards ❤️

Hello! I've got myself an issue, been a while since I've needed to use ae but needed it recently... ae alone has nearly been crashing my pc, bit confused.What happened? Had ae on version 24.3 originally.Ae sluggish... bit odd,  Checked in with task manager and my cache drives.Memory peaks at 29,000 + ... oddFigured I'd reconnect to my cache drive (ssd).Cleaned cache drives, moved them around, no change - No change. Updated to version 24.5 - No change.Memory leak or malware? - did a scan, nothing, started googling for results.Found advice, turned off auto cache frames.Unsure what else to do? - Specs below. Windows 10, IntelR CoreTM i7-800k CPU @ 3.70GHz, 6 coreInstalled memory, 32GB, x64 system.Bit frustrating, can't seem to find any other solutions :cthanks - Tex

My after effects wont take an anime episode which i downloaded from torrent it says the file may be damaged or corrupted and when i tried seeing if all mp4/avi were the problem i downloaded a video from youtube through y2mate then i was able to put it in after effects what is the issue can someone tell me and how to fix it? (the file is not corrupted i can play it from windows explorer) I have tried version 2023,22,21 of after effects and even media encoder the problem still persists 

I was having a 3d object in advance 3d and the exported movies , the background video run smoothly,but the path and the yellow object are not clear ,  and jiggling up and down. I had the yellow object was in 2d " png file"  (with classic 3d) , the exported movie , path and object was smooth. Any idea how to solve it? thx   

I am currently working on a slideshow and have about 250 individual photos loaded in my assets bin.  As I use one I'm putting a colour code on it so I don't repeat any individual shots.  Every single time I save my project, all those colour codes are removed.  Can anyone tell me how to stop this? 

I recently tried installing the LottieFiles plugin for After Effects. In the Creative Cloud app, it says the extension is successfully installed, however nothing shows up in Window > Extensions in After Effects. I tried installing via ZXP and the ZXP manager also shows that it's successfully installed, however I'm still not seeing anything in the Extensions menu. Anyone know what's going on?
