After Effects beta with roto brush and background text glitches. I have deleted the cache and restarted the application as well as the system, still the same issue.
Please make Refine Soft Matte and Refine Hard Matte effects gpu accelerated. Right now when you apply it on a 4k layer it is really slow, and I work on a 14900k with 128gb ram and a 4070 super...
With the latest update to Ae Beta the parent link icon is missing so I can't parent a layer with a track in a null.
Today we’re excited to announce that the View menu allows Default Camera and Custom View Camera Settings changes as of After Effects 25.4 build 58. Now, whichever view is currently active (whether you have a Camera in your Composition or the Default Camera is active, or you've selected a specific Camera View), the option to change that Camera Setting is available under View Menu. This option will reflect the name of the camera in your current view to ensure you’re clear about which camera’s settings you’re editing. You can also now access the current camera view settings by right clicking any layer and selecting the Camera sub menu. In addition, when changing the Layer Settings of a Camera, Light, Model, or Solid Layer from the Layer Menu, the name of the selected layer being edited will be shown. Please let us know how this works for you, and we’d also like to know if you find this helpful to your workflow. Thank you!- Amir After Effects Engineering Team
Version 25.3.0.030 of After Effects Beta introduces support for revealing the location of your project file on your computer’s file system. We're excited to introduce a new feature that simplifies file management and saves you time. Now, you can instantly reveal the location of your project file directly within the application. No more hunting through folders or trying to remember where you saved your work. With a single click, After Effects will open your computer's file system (Finder on Mac or File Explorer on Windows) and highlight the exact location of your current project file. Getting Started The feature will be available by default on After Effects Beta from version 25.3.0.030 onward. Right-click your mouse on the empty space in the Project Panel Click on “Reveal Project in Finder” on Mac, or on “Reveal Project in Explorer” on Windows After Effects opens your file system location where the project is located Feature
Hue/Saturation is missing items in the Effects control panel and doesn't function properly in the latest Beta (25.5.0 build 43)
I think I would look better visually and and less tight towards the margins if the content of the inbox panels were aligned to the panel title. Is that possible? thanks team. 🙌 This is another example, the Interpret Fotage button is attached to the edge of the panel (and the monitor).
I have a clip, and select the rotobrush tool. I can draw where I need, but nothing shows up and nothing changes. Why is nothing changing?
In premiere this setting is within the actual Preferences menu and sticks between different projects, but in after effects currently the option is per project (and seems to sometimes revert if I use a feature like Stabalize Motion that swaps to the layer view) and defaults to "On" every single time. As someone who doesn't need or want this feature turned on it's quite a pester to need to turn it off myself every single project file.Could we please move it into the actual Preferences menu like premiere or at least offer a way to turn it off by default?Thank you for your time!
After Effects beta users, welcome to the dark side! Add realism or a bit of film-noir drama to your scene with realistic shadows in the Advanced 3D render engine. Getting Started Version 25.3.56 of After Effects Beta now supports Spotlight and Parallel shadows. Up to eight separate Spot and Parallel light sources can cast shadows, in addition to one Environmental shadow layer, for a total of 9 shadow-casting sources. Note: Point lights do not yet cast shadows. 3D elements in your scene such as imported 3D models—as well as 3D layers, extruded text and extruded shape layers—will all cast and receive realistic shadows, including self-shadowing. Lights can be set to any color, and shadows from colorful light sources will realistically combine to create real-world additive-color shadows. Shadows have currently been tweaked to match the Classic engine as closely as possible for consistency with legacy projects. Main Features Environment lights,
Keinen Cent Wert! Ich muss es leider nur ausführen. Verschwendung genug!
We updated to v25.0 in our facility and to our regrets found out that the keyboard shortcut to open FX Console does not work on a text layer if the Properties Panel is opened. None of it's keyboard shortcut options do in that state. I then tested the same in the current beta and it still does not work. This bug is only present on Windows machines. Mac works fine. v24.x did not suffer from this issue, there must have been something that changed behavior there. On any other layer the shortcuts simply work even with the Properties Panel opened.
Steps to reproduce:Create a shape layerDraw a shape on itAdd a RepeaterAnimate the Copies gong from 0 to, say, 10Ensure the Repeater's Composite is set to "Above"Add a Wiggle Transform with a Wiggles/Second of 0 and set its position to, say, 100,0 Result:As each extra shape appears, the already-drawn shapes move around Expected:Shapes already on screen shoudl remain in place. If you change the Repeater's Composite to "Below", the shapes do not move - this is "as expected" behaviour. Adjusting the Wiggle's Random Seed does not help. Attached project shows the issue - change the Repeater's Composite to Above or Below to see the difference. This means you have the flexibility to set a different language for After Effects without being r
I thought surely this must be covered somewhere, but after a good bit of searching, I still haven't found what I'm looking for... I have a 3D comp in After effects using the Advanced 3D renderer. I have a .glb model of a desktop computer. Laid carefully onto it, I have a precomp with the contents of that computer screen. Is there a way to make it look as if there is light emanating from the computer screen itself, instead of having a light in the scene pointed towards the computer and messing with the materials settings on the precomp to try and get the computer screen to look like it is lit decently? I was reading a bit about EXR files and HDRI lights, but I feel like it's a bit over my head and I'm not sure if you could use that to position a "light" within a 3D composition or if it sort of wraps all the way around the comp...
I build templates. I normally replace logos in a closing animation with a logo and contact info. The logo has a bevel alpha and dropped shadow. I just downloaded the newest AE Beta (25.4.0 Build 13) and when I swapped one logo for another, even though the effects were applied to the layer, neither were visible. Workaround:I added a new (additional) dropped shadow and suddenly the previous two effects "woke up." I deleted the newly added dropped shadow and the effects originally there, remained as expected.
After effects will not open. My device meets the requirments to use After effects and all of the other adobe apps I have work fine e.g illustrator, photoshop,Premier pro but one day after effects stopped working The splash screen will load then disapper or The splash screen will glitch and not allow me to close it meaning I have to use task manager to close it - photo of the second outcome attached. It gives me options to start in safe mode or reset prefernces but none of these options work and I do not have any plugins installed I have repeatedly uninstalled and reinstalled and even updated to the latest version v25.2.2 However even switching to older versions does not work. Here are my system specs - Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz 2.80 GHzInstalled RAM 20.0 GB (19.8 GB usable)System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor I have even tried the Beta AE but it still will not work I have tried both opening

Version 24.4.0x13 of After Effects Beta introduces support for embedded animation in 3D models. When you add GLB or glTF files with embedded animation to your timeline, you’ll see a new Animation Options menu where you can select an included animation to play back. Make characters dance, laptops unfold or simply save time bringing in preexisting animation from another app. Animations can include skeleton structures and mesh deformations. Copies of a model layer can have different animations selected, or you can leave Name set to None to keep your model static. “Rampaging T-Rex” by Naelwow, CC Attribution You can play, trim and retime these animation sequences like footage layers, including via Time Stretch and Time Remapping. (Though unlike footage if you slow them down, they’ll interpolate smoothly between frames.) And, just like other 3D layers, you can animate their transforms, move the camera, add lights to change their look, and combine them with othe
Hello. I m using After Effects 25.2.2 Build 2. I import an fbx file with animation, but the result are very inconsistent.Yesterday when I imported an fbx with an animation, under animation tab, the name was there and I could preview the animation. Today, same file, same animation, the animation tab appears, but the name of the animation is missing and it doesn t work. If I make a simple cube in any 3d software with an animation and I import it, I can see it, animation tab is there, but there is no name of the animation and it doesn t work.Same inconsistency for the environment light. I have an hdr in the scene, I try to use it as a source for an envrionment light, in one day I can choose the hdr that is there, in other day I cannot, it is not showing. After some clicks, it takes into consideration the light, but still without showing in source.Do you have a fix? Should I try the beta version? I cannot work on a serious project and one day the animation to not work. Thank you.
Hi there,I'm running into an issue with the Toggle Button in my scripts. The image buttons no longer highlight when toggled like they used to in AE 2024. Just wondering if this is something that's being looked into. Here’s a quick demo of the issue: Video linkAnd here’s the script used in the video: Script link Thanks!Sergei

Cut down on your twirl-time by quickly accessing the properties you need the most. New designers coming from Photoshop and Illustrator should feel right at home with controls available where you are used to finding them. This first build brings an easier way of working with Shape layers. Select a shape either in the composition window or timeline, and you will find its properties shown in the panel for easy access. If you change a value in the panel, it will change in the timeline as well. Select multip
Hello😊the new UI for after effects has problems when I try to move a layer, moving the time indicator(head) in the time line, even the guids from the ruler. If there is any info you want me to previde, I am hereThank you.
Hello, I was wondering if you could help me with a problem I'm currently facing in After Effects.I used the Rotobrush 3.0 on a clip and everything looked fine within the layer. After that, I pre-composed the rotobrushed layer. However, when I view the pre-comp in my main composition, a black outline appears around the subject, when I open the pre-comp by itself, the black outline doesn't appear at all.Do you happen to know what might be causing this, and how I can remove the outline while keeping the transparency intact in the main comp?
