Plugin / Script panels buttons are glitchy a bit in the newest beta.It's like round bevels and light grey colour is enforced on the buttons.The picture below: left: AE 2024, right: AE Beta
When you change the name of any element in the Project window (folder, file, composition, ...) it automatically slides to the very bottom of the window. This is counterproductive and requires scrolling back to the element with changed name. Steps to reproduce: 1. After tracking with AE's native point tracker, press the grave/tilde key with mouse over the timeline panel to maximize it 2. Turn off animation for one of the keyframed tracking parameters or paste keyframes from one tracker's parameters to another. Usually when in an active composition, you'd see that composition highlighted with a box, but now I just see the flow and feel very unsure of which composition I'm in. I use this to navigate through precomps so it must be retained from the pre-spectrum design update. Thanks
May also be present in release version haven't checked.Swapping colors on the Gradient Ramp fx clamps any value above/below 0-1.0 float losing the origianl value. Tested in 24.4.0 build 16.
Pop up window showed up never to go away. When pressing Esc key the window flicker but stayed on the screen until crashed and closed AE.
I'm using (an older version of) Trapcode Particular to create some stars forming a logo. I've coloured the particles from a gradient ramp with completely normal (not over 1,1,1) colours, which range from a light cyan to white - no yellow at all. Weirdly, one clump of particles (I have no other effects on the layer other than Particular) renders as yellow, and if I look at its RGB values, the blue is "nan", which I've never seen before. My project is 32 bit, set to "Adobe Color Managed" (I also tried some of the OCIO options, but it made no difference to the Area of Weirdness):If I drop the comp into my PPro timeline, the Area of Weirdness appears as a black dot:If I change the project to 8bpc, the issue goes away. But my glows and sparkles aren't as nice. Odd.
After working for usually 15-20 minutes on a project in the Beta, it suddenly hangs for no apparent reason, even if I am not actually doing anything at that point in time, and that's it, the only way out is via Task Manager and the big red switch, loosing any work you may not have saved in the interim period. There is no apparent pattern as to what I may have been doing immediately before, but just maybe it has to do with resizing a control, typically a Shape, which does seem to fit my occurences quite well ?. W10 Pro, 16Gb Ram, I7 processor, GTX 980 GPU.
Whenever I double click a text layer to edit, it just makes the same "popping" sound you hear whenever a some function can't be executed. I don't have this issue with non-beta version
I'm running the latest version of Ae Beta. GLB Imports fine into Blender. Keep getting Blue Box with Send to Ae feature in Painter. Send to Ae configuration shown in screenshot.
I'm using AE Beta 24.2.0x66.I'm currently waiting for some tracking to complete on a ~30sec clip. The track points have gone way off, but there's no way to cancel the tracking, regardless of what I press/click. Clicking the 'stop' icon in the Tracker panel does nothing, hitting Esc does nothing...AE is completely unresponsive, but is continuing to do the track (even though the track points are totally useless).

This is easier to explain with an example:I have a text layer. I want this layer to be matted by TWO layers; Circle Matte AND Rectangle Matte. So I set the Text layer's track matte to the Circle Matte and I set the Circle Matte's track matte to Rectangle Matte:If we look at Circle Matte on its own, we see that it's been successfully matted by the rectangle:...so you'd think that if I then set the Text layer's matte to this, we'd only see the area within that semicircle, but no, we get this:The text is only matted by the circle and the fact that the circle has been matted by the rectangle is ignored. I've tried using both luma and alpha mattes, but it makes no difference. I'm fairly sure that when the Track Matte pickwhip system was introduced, Adobe said we could have "mattes of mattes" or something....this clearly isn't the case. Any chance of this bug being fixed? I'm on AE Beta 24.3.0x23, but it's been like this for ages.
Since version 24 I can't import 3D objects ot use the Mercury engine anymore.Getting this error message and the screen turns black.After Effects (Beta) error: internal verification failure, sorry! {unexpected match name searched for in group} ( 29 :: 0 )Any ideas?
Since the update to beta version 24 the lighting has gotten very high contrast. Models painted in substance and exported to .glb from stager that render normally in google's model viewer editor and played well in v23 now render super high contrast. AE Comps from v23 opened in v24 have the same poor lighting quality. New models imported to new projects created since the update have the same poor lighting quality. Now that I've updated to 24.1 x70 and the is no longer an option to roll back to 23 I'm kind of stuck. Is this a bug? Part of the work in progress? Or am I missing something about the lighting changes that were made in v24? I saw that AE and Media Encoder joined Premiere with emoji icon support in the Essential Graphics panel and text layers for AE. Unfortunately, the AE Beta only seems to be supporting Emoji One on my end instead of Emoji One and the Apple Color Emoji. Is there any fix coming soon to address this? I know users have been asking for this so happy the fonts team added this in.
version 24.2.0 (build 71)MacbookPro M2 MaxmacOS Sonoma I have applied masks and rotoscopes to my layers and pre composed them.On this occasion, when opening the project the enitre video is upside down. I've tried opening other projects and they are all opening upside down.Additionally the rotocoped layers seem to be the right way up but now acting as a mask. Please help. Everything was fine last night.
I use a german keyboard with an english AE Version and therefor have several custom shortcuts. if i use cmd+M to send a com to the render queue it minimizes AE and only if i open the keyboard-shortcuts panel quickly, without doing anything cmd+M works. This is also reflected in the menu where the shortcuts are shown next to the menu entry
I have a project with a few comps containing point lights in the old 3D engine and I have tried turning on the advanced 3D engine instead, and it almost looks like the lights just get deleted... but on further investigation it's actually that they're just super, super low intensity. To get them back to roughly equal to the classic engine lights I have to turn the intensity up like 10x. Is this an intentional property of lights in the new engine or is there a bug in their brightness?
what should i do..there are not showing the 3d model when i import 3d model GLB file.....
Footage works fine in AE otherwise. Happens with MP4 and MOV ProRes 422.When I load the footage into the layer panel and select the Roto Brush tool, it goes blackWith an NVIDIA RTX 4000 Ada Generation Laptop GPU Issue does not occur in "shipping" version of AE.
Composition keeps going black in most recent update to AE Beta (24.2.0 build 38). I quit and re-opened, purged cache and memory several times, no luck. Tried different workspaces, no change.HOWEVER, exact same project looks fine in AE 2024 (non-beta). So the problem is not the project. Running latest version of Mac OS 14.1.2.Thanks!
