I have AA version 24.0.0.180 installed. And trying to update, I get this errorAn error occurred while uninstalling Adobe AIR.  Uninstallation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator.I have tried uninstalling and updating, and getting the same error.I am using a Win 10 64 bit machine.Any ideas?ThanksJames

But we noticed, that when used in app packed with AIR 28, there seems to be occasionally crashes related to missing resources (Caused by: android.content.res.Resources$NotFoundException) so I tried to update the ANE with the latest AIR and set the target SDK to version 25. Hi everyone! I helped create an app back in 2010-2014 that runs on Adobe Air. My client is having issues installing the program, we get the following error both on Macs and PCs (see attached). I've tried multiple copies of the app, so I really don't think the installer is damaged, as the error suggests. I thought about "Run as Admin" on the Windows side, but I do not get that option when I right-click on the application. I un-installed the current version of Adobe Air, and installed the older version, from when the app was created, and still get the same error. Any idea why we're getting this?Thank you in advance!--Rafa.

Apache Flex 4.16, Adobe AIR 28 (version 28.0.0.125)I am testing two Apache Flex apps using the latest AIR release in Flash builder 4.7, Mac OS Sierra. Hello,I looked through the forum and couldn't find any recent discussions about this... I need the silent installer for Adobe Air runtime to deploy out to a high school through SCCM 2012.  I found the application page atAdobe AIR Runtime Distribution | Adobe and filled out the application but have not received the email with the download link and licence.  I tried emailing the email addresses on the page regarding enterprise licencing but they come back undeliverable.  I did a lengthy chat session with support and at the end they advised me that Air is free software and I should come to this forum for help which I did not find particularly helpful.  I found a few topics in this forum that always seem to link back to the page above.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thanks

Hello,I develop a game for android and ios with animate cc and i have red a lot of discussions to improve performance on mobile but i have still a lag (drop framerate) when scrolling.View my game like Flappy Bird or like a Runner game, obstacles which are scrolling continued to the left and a character wich jump.FPS = 60 and i use last version of AIR SDK.The game works perfectly on PC, on Galaxy S6 it works almost perfectly, but on Galaxy S4 and Smartphones less powerful, there are lags while scrolling.So, i have made a test, with just two elements :- An image (PNG) - A button (made with PNG image)When i tap on the button, the image move to the left by 5px each frame with "EventEnterFrame" .With this test, the problem is the same. Have only just today tested the camera on the Amazon Kindle Fire 7" and It cannot access the back camera, and when accessing the front camera I get a messed up image with blue and green pixellated lines streaked across 4-5 squashed and skewed instances of the camera merged together 😮Needless to say the same .apk runs fine on the other 5 android devices we're using.Any clues ?  Many thanks for keeping the forums & sdk running in the meantime x-Jerry

Hello, I have work in my school with free program Scratch 2, this program needs Adobe Air from version 8 to newer version.When I install first time Adobe Air 28 (actual version) and Scratch all is ok, but after some days I find that Adobe Air is installed automatically with older version 3.5.With this version Scrach doesn't work. Hi all,I am having problems publishing to certain iOS devices when using AIR SDK 28.0.125.   The problems I am seeing is that, when using this version:a) the icon is not being shown properly (I get an empty icon on the phone screen) and,b) when using the app the screen size is being read incorrectly.The problem device is an iPhone 6.  When I publish to an iPad mini it works fine.  On the iPhone 6 I have put in traces that show it is reading the device as having the screen resolutions of an iPhone 4 so hence the display problems, although it is being identified correctly as an iPhone7 (which is I believe the correct internal name for an iPhone 6).  If I roll back to AIR SDK 27.0 or earlier it publishes fine too both these devices.I have not updated the OS on the iPhone 6 or iPad mini for a little while.  I also have an iPhone X, where the OS is fully updated, and there is a possibly related problem here in that Animate CC 2018 (which is up to date) it freez

Hi all, We have some software applications that are built on Adobe Air and since this week we are unable to install them on any Windows (7, 8 and 10) and Mac operating systems (Capitan, Sierra).In the past every time we have updated the version of Adobe Air the software could be installed without any issues.When we attempt to install we get the same message:"Sorry, an error has occurred.The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer from the application author". Until last week, the same files could be installed with no issues. Hello, There is a bug with the enterFrameEvent on IOS and Android.When you move bitmaps on each frame (for example -5px) to make a scrolling game with enterFrameEvent, there is a random framerate drop, even if there are just two elements on the screen.With adobe scout you can see that this is a "waiting for GPU" or "Waiting for the next frame".this is a problem because this make a jerky scrolling...I have made a lot of tests and read a lot of discussions but i have not found a solution.But when i run a video recorder app (DU recorder) in the same time, the lag disappeared...it's just amazing...Here is the link to my post in air developpement where you can see more informations and the screen captures of adobe scout : Game continued Scrolling LAG Air For Android Thanks !

After submission of an app compiled with AIR 28 SDK,  I receive the following message:Missing Asset Catalog - Your app is missing the asset catalog file in 'Dis moi !.app'.Does anybody know how to solve this issue?Thks in advance for your answers.

So, my first AIR app is complete and I am in the process of profiling it before I submit it to the various App Stores. On Android, I ran it for over an hour with no crashes or hangups, although looking at Scout, its memory seems to run awfully high IMO.  When it reaches around 550MB, AIR kicks it back down to 200MB with garbage collection. It usually hangs out around 200-350MB on Android. Apple is a different story.  It just crashes randomly, after 10 minutes, after 20 minutes.  The crashes happen around 370MB, but I am not convinced that it is a memory issue.  Looking at the various crash reports generated by the iPad, I have attached five different crashes that I logged.  In my estimation, Apple is kicking the app out because it is not responding to something in the appropriate amount of time, but I have not a clue what it is, how to debug it, or where to look to address it.  Please let me know if you have any experience with this at all as I really feel

Hi all,I am really struggling to understand what is going on. In my game when I play level performance is great. Game is working perfectly. Frame rate is great also. But memory is allocating pretty fast and GC is not releasing it soon enough to avoid FPS drop. So after every 2 minutes of play memory grows for about 40 MB and then GC collect it and frame rate drops heavily. I do not understand why GC does not collect it sooner and instead it waits for memory to grow 40 MB and then collects it. But when GC finaly release so much memory FPS drop heavily for a second and it makes game pause for a second and is really annoying.You can see here how this level looks like when I am playing it on iPhone:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkna3mlJU70​(Though game play from that video is not the gameplay from this Scout profile but is the same level, just for the reference).I have created new Scout profile now with full game play where everything is running Starling, Box2d and StardustParticleSystem

Is it normal that empty Starling project consumes 9MB memory (I am not saying that Starling consumes it, maybe Flash Virtual machine consumes it) over 9 minutes of playing?Look at this Adobe Scout profile that was recorded for empty Starling project:https://goo.gl/Xw2MVaOn the frame 32 222 (around 8:59 on the time line) you can see that GC finaly cleans the memory and it took it 19ms. That is more than entire budget for 60FPS game.I have also watched adl process in the windows Task Manager and memory was really increased by 9MB.I am using latest Starling from master branch and Adobe AIR SDK 28.0.0.125 with Flash Builder 4.7.How can we make any game if this is the behavior of empty Starling project or empty Flash project who ever is responsible for this behaviour?
