Animate

Hello, I would like to know how I can cut a piece of the drawing like what is done with the blade in Adobe Illustrator, Thank you.

Question is pretty much in the title. Do you think it's easier or less time consuming to create animations like this: https://youtu.be/wojVr00rTk0in Animate or is it better to draw all the body parts in Photoshop and then assemble it as it's needed in Premiere Pro? 😄 Those animations are from 2003 btw and they were made with flash. Thanks for helpful answers!

Randomly when I export an animate file as an mp4 using media encoder, there will be a weird glitch or two at random times while I watch the mp4 after creating it. It doesn't happen every time though. Everything is up to date and I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Media Encoder app, but it didn't fix the problem. Anyone have any ideas for how to fix this problem? It's for my job so I really need to figure this out. 

I'm exporting an animated .gif in Animate, and I see in the dialog that there are only "once" and "forever" as looping options. WTH? What happened to setting a custom loop (say, 3x which is TOTALLY STANDARD across the web).    [Moved from generic Start/Help forum to the specific Program forum... Hi, I am working in adobe animate cc and I am struggle to fill in my background with the fill bucket tool. I know how to change the stage colour but because I have a couple scenes in my animation that require different solid colour backgrounds I would need different stage colours but I'm not sure how to do that. Changing the stage colour keeps it the same colour for the entire animation. Does anyone know how to change the stage colour at different sections ? Thanks!Bili

Hello,I was looking for some tutorials on Adobe's website and the ones I found won't load (https://www.adobe.com/products/animate.html). I click on them and all I get is a something went wrong message.well the one called "Learn the basics of Animate." works but "Get started with Animate." and "Work with layers." don't.If someone can tell me where can I find them or bring the links back, thanks a lot!

I made a little drag and drop game in AS3 and it worked perfectly. But, you can't do anything with a swf these days. [I'm a senior.] So, now I am trying to create it with Canvas and as there is no drag and drop code available in snippets for HTML5 Canvas, I've looked at several videos, but they all use a landing spot and/or snapping and I don't want either of these. The user can drag the objects (movieclips) anywhere on the stage. Any all all help greatly appreciated.

Hello, I made a simple animation to be published on a website using Adobe Animate CC. I'm not a pro and it's my first time ever using this program. When I play it inside Animate it plays until the end, if I export it to a video file it plays until the end of the timeline, but when I try to preview it or even publish it in HTML5 Canvas, it stops playing before the end of the timeline and I'm not figuring out why. Can somebody help me understand what I'm missing and what should I do to be able to publish it so that it plays until the end of the timeline?

I'm publishing to html5 canvas and in my Publish Settings, I have checked "make responsive" by both height and width.  In "scale to fill visible area" I have selected "fit in view".  The goal is to allow the canvas app to stretch to be fully visible regardless of the viewport's dimensions. Now I'm trying to integrate this into a real web page.  For example, what if I add a <div> at the top to contain some navigation links.  Pasting such a div into the Animate-generated html code (above the animation_container div) has the result that the page no longer gets it quite right when adjusting to a changing viewport: In this case, a viewport with a short, wide aspect ratio leaves part of my canvas cut off at the bottom of the window, because it doesn't know that extra div is pushing everything down. Based on other threads, I gather that the makeResponsive() code in the Animate-generated .js file needs to be tweaked?  I am over my head here, and hoping

Why isn't the symbol animated if I mask the layer on which the symbol is located?

When I try to unparent a layer they're a chance that it does or doesn't unparent. Does anyone know why?

I'm new in animation and I have big prolem and I can't go to next lessons. I'm working on Adobe Animate 2022 and after saving my animation and opening it again my character is scaling into micro dot. All parts of body without a pelvis are scaling. I wanted scale that parts to normal size but I can't even find them. Am I the only one who has this problem?

Hi there!I am working on a project and have finished my animation but have realized I am wanting to resize my document larger (1920x1080 to 3840x2160). I am Using the Document settings and ticking scale content, which usually works for me.However, I think because of my multiple layer depths (I have a Parallax slide in) it is changing the positioning of the layers with Layer Depth to be very weird coordinates. Is there a way to fix this? Or to merge the camera/layer depth motions so re-scaling can be done? (I'm okay with having a non-reversible method as I will keep the smaller size file for editing and the larger size for exporting). Cheers!Sian.

However, when I rollover once again, this time you'll see that the "bounce" sound plays twice "boi-boing" instead of "boing". also, I can't figure out why none of the other buttons are working. It was working fine and the file was published and deliverd. Now that I'm doing version 2, suddenly none work. Hello,I started a project hand drawn, using the brush tool at size 3, and then somehow didn't catch that some frames are drawn with brush size 4.I can't find anything in the program that allows me to select frame and change brush width.Please help!

I have 3 symbol movie clips (Ant 11, Ant 20, Ant 30). They have to appear on stage. Instances of 3 symbols are written in an array. If the array is written to AS, then everything works well. If the array is written to JS, then the array in AS is transmitted incorrectly and the movie clip scene (And 11, And 20, And 30) does not appear. How to fix it? The array must always be in the JS file. I have set my flash to full screen mode. It has a menu with several different flv movies. When I click on the flv it then goes full screen and I no longer see the custom buttons I created for it and at the end of the movie I have to hit the esc btn to get out of it. but when it is not on full screen i have it programmed to go back to the menu after the flv ends.is there someone who has experience with this and could give me some direction please?

Hi, gurus!I'm in the so called Panic Mode now...After last update Animate doesn't plays animation.In any timeline, new or previously saved, any animations tweened or not in any complicity. After hitting the Enter key or pressing Play button timeline previews only 2 or 3 frames and then stops.Any ideas?Animate build 23.0MacOS 11.6.5Imac 2020 3,6Ghz 10core

So I finished a 70+ hour project in Animate and exported the file from .fla to .h264 (mp4). Then I noticed a mistake and went back to change it only to find my original file empty. Also, the recovery file seems to be empty too. Is this what happens to Animate files when exporting? Permanent data loss? Seems rather dangerous for a simple function that had no warnings this was about to happen. Please help. 

In Animate 21.0.3, when I try to use the Anchor Point tool to work on the motion tween, the program shut out. Otherwise,  I will get an error message: "The current layer XXX is either locked or hidden. Would you like to unlock and show this layer?" All these two feedbacks were other that successfully delete the anchor on the motion trace. 

Adobe Animate 2019 won't open on my computer. I can open anything from 2022-2022 but 2019 isn't doing the trick. I tried troubleshooting, i think resetting prefences and unstalling the local files. is there anything i can do?I'm on Windows 11 12th Gen i5 Intel with 8GB Memory. Is it too old?

Hello.I have a problem with the sound in Adobe Animate. I have a sound clip on 8 minutes and I have improted it to the stage but right now it's only one minute long because I've dragged the frames. Is there a faster way to make the sound clip longer than just dragging the keyframe? Or is there a way to import the sound and then it's 8 minutes right away? I hope you can help.
