Animate

Hi,I've been having issues when creating a shape tween in a mask layer because even though it seems to work on the project timeline, whenever I test the animation the masked symbol remains hidden. I followed the masking and tweening process step-by-step and have redone it multiple times, but the problem keeps occurring.This is happening in version 22.0.5. Any tips or advice? Thanks in advance.

I'm a high school teacher, running an approximation of an animation studio. I need the students to create digital assets (in Adobe Animate) and share them with different teams within the classroom.I do not want to have the student share via Adobe's Creative Cloud, because of potential privacy issues (No fault of Adobe's just very privacy conscious rules here). So is there a simple solution where students can save digital assets and share them with another group? I've already tried saving assets as a .ana file, but Animate can not load it. Currently saving resources as .fla files and using import External Library for animated sequences.And saving images as PNGs for static resources. Also, is there a better way?

Hello, I'm supposed to do an activity that uses buttons on animate. It's supposed to be a music player but I don't know how to do it on animate since the teachers' instructions is for the flash (old version of animate) can you share the codes on  how to make an audio stop, pause, play, go to previous, and go to next song. 

I work at an animation studio and we are using Adobe Animate for a big project that has a lot of files and a lot of different people working out of the same shared folder. We are using Animate 2022 (v22.0.4), on MacOS 10.15 Is there any way to stop Animate from creating these RECOVERY files? Or to create them in a different folder? They're messing up my very tidy scene folders and making extra versions of the files that we don't need.

Are there professional templates for purchase and download somewhere for Adobe Animate and Character Animator...? Which are the best? I find the templates in Animate and Character Animator to be extremely goofy and ugly (sorry), and I don't have the time to create everything from scratch because of quick turnaround times... Is Vyond a better choice for me or could you recommend some other animation software with characters...?

I have 30fps/215 frame animation that goes for about 6 seconds.What I want to do is add a 7 minute mp3 song that would play its entire length regardless of frame animation and loop once finished.Is this feasible in Animate CC?

Which is the right source apart from youtube tutorials to learn how to use animate from basics of the software to the advanced level ?please share 😕😕

I'm making an animation with very specific graphics, so I created the files in a separate art program. However, when I try to tween with it (Classic tween, just changing the size and rotating) it doesn't work. How can I make a rotation and/or resizing tween using custom image files?

I've already tried saving assets as a .ana file, but Animate can not load it.Can someone explain what they are used for?Why the .ana file will not load?

Hey, so I only actually finish a product once every few months and always seem to have trouble at the end, getting it to the right look on the final product. I can't remember what I did different, but this project i'm trying to turn into a watchable video seems way grainer than my last vid. I haven't changed settings but it just looks like crap. When I preview it in animate it looks smooth and great but for some reason whenever i export video/media then run it through media encoader it looks like crap.   What am I doing wrong here?

So ive got a simple animation of stickmanAnd though it is set on 25fps by defaultthe player only runs at 16-18fps making the animation look choppyeven after export it still looks sloopy.Im using adobe animate 2022.Please help.Ive uploded the actual fla file ive been working on, please help me solve this problem. 

Here is an image of software that I am writing (as a teacher) to generate questions for my students.The button next to the questions has been pressed to show the question. It is coded with Javascript in Animate. Is there a way that I can code the START button at the top to simulate the pressing of the question button. In the end what I am aiming to do is to click the start button, then one by one the buttons down the side are clicked after a time delay, by only pressing the start buttonI just want to have to avoid recoding if possible and just automate the clicking of the buttons so that they questions are revealed with a time delay.If any one can help with this pretty vague request, it would be much appreciated.Thank you.

Hi. As a test, I created a very simple character using the bone tool – so it sits on an armature layer on the main timeline. I want to use the auto lip sync feature with the character. As a dry run, I set up a graphic symbol with all the mouth shapes on the main timeline, went through the auto lip sync process and it works fine. (The audio is also on the main timeline.)I tried to do the same thing inside the "head" graphic symbol on my character. The problem I’m having is, after setting up the labeled key frames and picking the visemes etc., when I click on the "mouth shapes" symbol, (inside the head)  then hit the Lip Syncing button, it’s not seeing the audio on the main timeline -- I get "No audio layers found." So again – the "head" graphic symbol is on the main timeline. The "mouth shapes" symbol with 12 labeled frames and individual mouth shapes on key frames etc. is inside the head graphic symbol. Maybe there’s a problem with using the bone tool and auto lip s

When I select something (a fill, an object, a symbol-- anything) and try to nudge it with the arrow keys, it starts to work then pops back to it's original position. Do I have some strange setting on?

Hi i would like to create a multilingual Animation (html5 canvas, js) with a startscreen where you can choose your language.What would be best practice? Duplicate everything on the timeline and jump to the position according to the language? As i am going to have a pretty large amount of content that would make a giant timeline.Is there a more smart way? Thanks for any help!

I'm trying to change the fill color of shape/symbol nested within a movieclip but I can't get the code referenced in in similar post on this forum to work.  this.myMC.mySymbol.shape_1.graphics._fill.style = "rgb(20,22,36)";0); Throws an error. What am I doing wrong. What would be the proper way to change the fill color of a symbol/button or movieclip?

Greetings all, I am building a small website through Squarespace to replace my old one. My home page is an image I drew, then traced into Adobe Illustrator, now I need to add color, I'll probably use Photoshop. When finished I will have some very simple parts of my illustration animated, like a shadow figure of a person moving, or a star moving across a screen for an example. What's the best way to tackle this, as far as software? I imagine saving it as a gif then? I've done this but its been years and looking for the best and simplest route. Thanks for your help in advance, Phillip 

where is the spell checker?

Hi all, I'm fairly new to adobe animate and it's drinving me nuts. I have to create some banner ads with an mp4 playing, I did some digging to find you have to use a html5 component. I drag the video component to the scene, point to the source file (which is the same res as the banner) and turn on autoplay etc. But when I publish it just show the first frame of the mp4 and does nothing. I really don't understand what is wrong. I've tried making it a symbol(movie clip) but that changes nothing. Can anyone help me with this?

I literally just bought adobe animation 2022 and during the animation lesson it wants me to drag and drop the sky png and it wont drag and drop.

Hello Animate community, and hello developers!I tried in 2020 to explain an interface problem at the properties panel.Right here : https://community.adobe.com/t5/animate-discussions/animate-ui-2020-2021/m-p/11601537  The problem is still present in the latest version of animate 22.0.5 and that's why I'm still using the 2019 version.In my work as a motion designer, Animate is a great help to me in animation, it is an essential tool in my workflow. I would really like you to understand my problem.When I move objects in time on the timeline, I work a lot with the ease effects, and I have to click the pencil icon many times to edit the speed curves. There is my problem; with this new interface, the property panel is extremely large and when it is reduced to the minimum, the pencil is hidden, you have to extend the panel each time to see it appear. That's what I was trying to show in the video on my old post.Do you understand my despair?It is very disturbing to work properly.

so for the second time this month, i launched animate and found that all prefrences were back to default, as well as the keyboard shorcuts, the onion skin settings, brush sizes, publish settings, and last and the most hurtful is that the file i recently was working on is corrupted both the file and its recovery, no updates were made on animate it was 22.0.5 and still is, and i made sure yesterday to close animate safely in case my pc would shut itself down and corrupt my files,i also noticed that i cant dock the timeline window to the main window, i had to choose a different layout to dock it back, thats just so frustrating.
