Animate

I previously posted a question about how to generate multiple instances of a drag and drop symbol on demand (see thread here) and the solution provided worked incredibly well. Basically, I wanted to drag and drop symbols onto a map and have the dragged symbol re-spawned so the symbol could be used multiple/indefinite amounts of times. The solution provided, with the spawning of symbols when I drag them onto the map area, was exactly what I wanted - however, If I drag a symbol onto the map area by mistake, I can't remove the symbol. Im trying to use the animate like bfdia video by webzforevz to help me to animate, and for some reason my adobe animate isnt working like his, for starters he selects each individual item as they are all in the same symbol. im not sure if he did something inbetween/ off camera, but this is so confusing, then he had them all in frame picker. which doesnt work for me at all. any help would be sincerely appreciated!

So, I am basically trying to complete this very important project of mine,and for some reason, everytime I try to export this through CTRL+Enter it only goes up to about 70, 80 or 89%, then the software immediately closes.I look back at the swf exported through Animate within my downloaded files,but I then happen to notice that I get a white screen everytime I play the SWF,nothing else plays. Everytime I try to change a thing or two about this issue lurking on my software(such as removing a section of the fla, removing a big effect intro it had at the beginning, or even just decreasing the screen ratio 1920x1080 into 1280x720 WHICH also made it worse and had gotten bugs from it), it just keeps exiting out of the software as I try to export it in different ways.Is there any possible way I can have it export normally?I swear it was never like this before,it used to export normally without the software just clicking off so suddenly..I tried looking for issues similar to mine online,I

Hi, For a cilent I must animate eletricity surging through powers lines. For lack of better words, I have 2 "powerline support beams." One is in layer depth 0, and the other is in layer depth 100.  I would like to know if there is a way to attach the 2 end points of 1 line stroke to 2 seperate layer depths. So, when the camera pans, the lines adjust accordingly making it appear as if the powerlines are connected to the support beams. 

So im trying to import swf assets from a 6teen game to flash 8 But it keeps saying ,,One or more files were not imported because there were problems reading them,, And its really annoying, does someone know how to fix it? i will post the swf below. 

I wonder if there is a code to lock a canvas size (1920 x 1080).  or dissable multitouch.  This to prevent ussrers from makeng zoomin on touch displays.  usng two fingers. thanks for the help!  

Hi there, while creating an animate tool I've been able to access functions from other JSFL files. I've achieve this by adding this line at the top of each script:var utilities_script = fl.configURI + 'WindowSWF/' + "utilities.jsfl"; And then when I need to actually call a function in (for example) utilities, I call this:fl.runScript(utilities_script, "DistributeKeyFrames", distributionNumber);However, following the first call to the utilities script I can then access any function from utilities directly without the need to the fl.runScript call. So for example, if I needed to call DistributeKeyFrames again, I'd call:DistributeKeyFrames(3)as if it was a local function. But this only works after calling the long fl.runScript the first time. Would really appreate if someone could explain why this is so and also, is there a way to set things up during an initialisation where I could just  call the function directly from the outset!ThanksAnt

In "Webzforevz" "HOW TO ANIMATE LIKE BFDIA | Character Animation Tutorial" video on YouTube, at about 30 seconds in, he references selecting all items and then converting them to symbol, which isn't a problem but then also has them all individually selected whilst inside the symbol? im not sure how that would work, if anybody could help it would be greatly appreciated! (i do have most animation figured out, if someone could help, id love to put you into the credits of the first episode, im the script writer and animator all at once so it may take a while, but id like to credit for helping! :D) 

Hi.  I'm having an issue where I'm animating a star along a path and once I add the tween, the animation doesn't flow smoothly (see attached image.)  I checked the starting and stopping frames and there are no eases.  How can I fix this? Thank you.

2017.1 ReleaseBuild: 16.1.1.0.86video: mpeg-4 fileI have a video component on my stage, with the source pointing to a file in my folder  - "Videos/myVideo.mp4"When I Test or Publish the file, the video in my folder disappears, so I'm assuming it's deleted because when I search for the file on my computer I can't find it.Is anyone else having this issue?

I'd like to center align a text symbol to an existing circle symbol.But whenever I do, the circle symbol moves but not the text symbol: How can I designate the text symbol to align to the circle symbol and not vice versa?

Hi all,Need a little help, my illustrator has just started using Animate and has made a series of animations (Animate documents). He has succesfully exported most of them as OAM files but one in particular stops at the first hurdle and displays "Invalid File Path".  We have looked through all of the setting and compared all of the files and there appears to be nothing in the preferences that is different across all the documents.  The files are all created and stored in the same folder.  As it is a new program to us both it is a bit like the blind leading the blind, so I thought I would ask the experts.

Disons que je n'ai pas vraiment idée de ce que pourrait être un bon Workflow pour mon projet. En sachant que j'ai déjà créé mes personnages et mes décors sous forme de calque, quelqu'un aurait il la gentillesse de m'expliquer ce que je dois faire pour arriver a mes f

I recently started using Adobe Animate for a school project and am having some trouble with combining layers, using the lasso tool, and creating symbols. I draw the objects on Adobe fresco and then export them to Creative Cloud, and then into my person library so I can use them in my animation. I have a drawing of a hand that is made up of three layers, and when I merge them, I am only able to move around and delete on of the three layers, not all as one. Also, when I use the "break apart" tool to be able to use the lasso tool, and for example I delete my selected part, it deletes a whole layer (out of the three), and a part out of the second one, and nothing out of the third. Instead, I want it to delete my selected part. Additionally, when I create a symbol, how do I make it it's own layer?

Hi there, we have an issue in which content is shared in a dropbox folder between multiple users. However, due to the fact that Animate seems to use absolute paths, when UserA tries to open a file created by UserB, it's trying to open images linked to UserA dropbox account - rather than use relative paths and find it on their own dropbox folder. I don't believe (please correct me if I'm wrong) you can change Animate to use relative paths, so one solution was to use the library.updateItem() function (eqivalent to properties/update on a file)  to repath the images, but this doesn't seem to be available via JSFL (it says 'updateItem is not a function'). So is there any way to resolve this?Thanks for any help

I have been developing online learning tools with Adobe Animate, but have received feedback from colleagues needing accessibility that their screen readers pick up nothing at all where the HTML5 canvas is embedded in my website. I know that earlier versions of Adobe Animate had limited (although problematic) accessibility options, but all of the resources from StackExchange about adding ARIA-labels to Adobe Animate appear to lead to non-existant pages on the Adobe website (I asusme the information is obsolete, so Adobe took it down). Is there a way that I can add ARIA-labels to the Javascript file after exporting my Animate Project so that the screen reader can at least read a description of what the text/buttons on a patircular frame are? I am not looking to have something that you can tab through as this is a whole nother level of accessibility that I doubt I can program.

everytime i go to draw on adobe aniamte a random black line just appears at the bottom of the screen i cant seem to find the reason for it either, for some odd reason this only happens on the drawing tablet and second monitor but doesnt happen on the main monitor

I have brought an animated GIF into Animate, I want to make this GIF move accross the screen. Is it possible to animate an already animated GIF?I dont know how to do this as the frames have already been used to animate the dog running... how do I animate the dog so its also moving forwards?(for HTML5)

The new Auto Lip sync seems a nice feature to have.I have seen several tutorials on this and all work fine except when the moth is moving around together with the mouth.The symbol of the mouth stops moving when using Auto Lip Sync. Is there a workaround for this?All the tutorials I have seen ara all with heads that don't move.So my Mouth symbol (in a seperate layer) moves together with my head, but after using auto lip sync, the mouth symbol doesn't move anymore

When I execute the command "File - Export - Export Movie", after choosing to save it in PNG format, a dialog box pops up with a "Smooth" option, but no matter whether I select it or not, the exported image is smooth! This option does not play any role.My Animate version is 2024.  

Hi all,  I am new wit animate and I looked all over the net i can't find the answer.  I tried to connect my child layers to my parent layers, but for some reason some layers disappear when i link them. The timeline of the layers became grey. In the example below all the grey layers are hidden. If somone as a solution please let me know.  Thank you in advance
