Hi all,So basically, I edit audiobooks and podcasts, and up till now I have enjoyed the ability to play the audio and edit it in real time. I can let the audio play, select problem breaths or other issues, and deal with them as the audio continues to roll. This ability is unique to this DAW, as far as I know, which is why I love Audition. But since I updated to v12.1.1.142, when I select any range, the auto-scroll key toggles off and the cursor keeps merrily moving off the screen. I can punch A to toggle the auto scroll back on, but this is an extra step and it takes focus from the next potential issue to fix.I don't know if this issue is related to the update, or to some setting that changed when I updated. (I had to delete everything and start over from scratch due to issues with the reinstall.) Does anyone have any ideas? Is there a way to make Audition default to auto scroll and not toggle auto scroll when I select a range? EDIT: Setting i
When running Audition on a UHD/2160p display Windows set to 150% upscaling, the playhead width changes as it moves. Wide, narrow, wide, narrow, etc. It's annoying. Turning off hardware acceleration in Audition's settings solved the problem but makes the playhead so narrow it's almost invisible. The only thing that fxes this is to change Hi DPI Scaling Override to System(Enhanced) in the Compatibility section of Audition's shortcut, but that makes many of the program elements too small. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
I am restoring a number of projects from tape and the playback speed on that tape is a bit high. So the tracks are too fast and pitched too high. What I need is NOT "Slow down while keping the pitch the same".I need "Slow down AND have the pitch drop by the appropriate amount."This should be the less processor intensive and more straight forward. It seems likes like the old school "Speed it up and it pitches up"is not even an option anymore. Please don't tell me that I have to first render it slower and then calculate what the pitch down would be. That would create the worst artifacts from each process.
I have CS6 installed on my tower. When I purchased it, I copied a backup on a portable hd. A few weeks ago, I no longer hear anything coming out from the version on my tower (my speakers work perfectly for everything else). But when I access the version I saved on my portable hd, the playback works. I have compared the settings on Audio Hardware and Audio Hardware Mapping on both versions and they are the same. Anyone have a clue? Thanks.
A while back I created a preset in Audition, and I'd like to recreate it exactly again in order to do some tweaks to it. BUT ... I can't remember all of the steps, and all of the settings of each step. Is there a way to reverse engineer a preset? Using Cmd+Z repeatedly shows that there are changes that were made (about 6 of them) but there's no indication as to what they were. Thanks in advance. ~Shawn
Is there a way to mix suround sound in audition using a sound card with Macbook Pro 2019 MontereyOS to usbc to hdmi to vizio 5.1 sound bar?
I recently bought an Arturia Keystep 32-key USB MIDI controller. I am looking for some walkthrough or video instructions on how to add/setup a MIDI controller to Audition. I am quite new to this so simple instructions would be most welcome.
Hey everyone,I use Audition mainly for postprocessing the sounds for the videos I produce. So far anytime I used Noise reduction, it worked like a charm. My videos are usually like 1 hour long, so I process the entire source file prior to the actual video editing. One hour long file usually took like 30 seconds to process. Now, with the updated Audition 23.1 it takes AGES... 20-30 minutes and the estimate gradually increases. Never really reached the end even though I was VERY patient. When I reverted the version back to 23.0, it started working smooth and quick again. The question is - is there some bug that causes this long processing or am I missing some super advanced next-gen setting, that causes this (and I can turn it off)?Thank you, dear community.
Olá estava editando um arquivo de áudio no audition e quando fui finalizar vi que tinha apagado um e continuado a editar, sabem como recuperar esse áudio? obrigado!
Hi, so i recorded my voice for an hour long of me playing games.i use obs for recording the video then audition to capture my voices. Now, i was editing the audition file i just recorded, but then i got the message above. i do not remember the full message, but it was something like "Error try to save then restart" so i did. i save the file after using noise reduction, then i exit audition. when i open it again, it was gone. the file was there, its still an hour long, but my voice is gone, just complete silence and a straight lines. i was careless by only doing "Save" instead of "Save as" so that i have a backup, but i didn't expect it to vanished just like that. i thought the file before it was saved into wav is there? hopefully? so yeah.. did anyone have a solution?
Hi,When attempting to export multitrack mixdowns I'm unable to select for mono files. I've tried to change the files to mono in the 'convert sample type' window in the export multitrack mixdown tool but it always reverts to stereo. I've tried to work around this in multiple ways but I'm still getting all stereo files. What am I missing? Most DAW's have quick ways of making multitrack bounces of mono tracks, as it's something you do often if you want to move your sessions to different DAW's/studios for mixing. Whats up with Audition? Any help is appreciated.
Hi there, before I go ahead and explain the issues I’m still experiencing, I have obviously posted something exactly related to these specific problems before not too long ago, which I’m aware could be easily misinterpreted as spam, so my apologies in advance for that. To clarify the exact difficulties I’m still dealing with, I’m having so much trouble with getting Adobe Audition to even find my Rode NT1-A microphone, as a means of recording audio. The only microphone I’m able to choose from in the Audio Hardware preferences section in Audition, is the built-in speaker in my laptop. I'm using a MacBook Air to run Audition, with a Focusrite Scarlett Solo 2i2 (3rd Gen) preamplifier and it's plugged into my MacBook via a USB adapter. My adapter is not a powered hub. I’m attempting to record in Waveform view and I know for a fact that I’ve allowed my MacBook to let Audition record audio. To clear up any potential further confusion, my Scarlett is connected directly into my l
I am currently working on a project in Audition on a Mac running OS12.6. I have been using Audition daily over the last couple of months, but today while is was working my Marquee selection suddenly stopped working and I cant seem to get it back up and running. I have tried resetting my Mac and its PRAM, and also factory set Audition but I still can't seem to get it up and working as it should. Is there anything im doing wrong?
I thought markers as a way to split up long audio files into labeled tracks would be the way to go, but I cannot figure this out. Watch me flail here:
Hi, I've been looking for a system wide eq for windows 11, and have noticed that some of the 'best eq for windows' lists feature Audition. Is this a misprint? Doesn't seem like this would be something Audition would do... To be clear, I'm looking for a utility like Boom3D or Audio Hijack that will allow me to eq any audio played through my audio card. Cheers
How are you. I’m wondering if someone could help? My bassist and I recorded a song live toAdobe Audition using a click-track. Our song has three separate tracks - lead vocal, acoustic guitar, and electric bass. I’d like to send the song to a friend (in another state) so he can remotely add mandolin to the song. My friend uses Garageband, and since I want him to use the same click-track that we used, must I turn that click-track into an audio track (in Audition) and send it to him as a separate .wav file? Or, is that click-track already recorded (but “mute-able” if need be) on one of the original vocal, guitar or bass tracks? Also, when I send him the song, should I “bounce” all three separate tracks (four, if the click-track is included?) to a single .wav file? Take care and thanks so much! - Brock
Hi, I'm new to Audtion, jumping over from using mostly Audacity.I'm selecting at least 1 second of noise on a file in Multitrack, and the option to "capture noise print" is always greyed out. Any help would be appreciatedMac OSX
We often use the noise reduction in our audio to take out general background noise and other minor noises and use the noise capture print a lotWe are working on a project now and have noticed when we do noise capture and then noise reduction process nothing happens and there is no difference in the audio either. This is using the basic settings which have worked fine for us in the past.We are using the 2017.0.2 release Build no. 10.0.2.27We are having to take it into another program to remove the noise.
Hi, had a hard disk crash, and replaced the bad dive with a new SSD. In attempting to reload Adobe Audition 3 I find that I cannot use the serial number, and make it work again. Adobe says that is because they no longer support version 3 anymore. Anybody know how get around this nonsense?
I want to use script to remix an audio file, but i do not find an API function to call. var file = new File('D:/Projects/VideoSyncMusic/remixtest/Untitled Session 1/Untitled Session 1.sesx'); var docOpenParam = new DocumentOpenParameter(file.fsName); // Audition specific Open Parameter var sesDoc = app.openDocument(docOpenParam); // Opens the file in Audition var current = app.activeDocument; app.invokeCommand(Application.COMMAND_CLIP_ANALYZEFORRETARGETING); //------ // code here to to change the duration //------

Hello, Is Adobe Audition or Adobe Pro able to do something similar to this, please: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHS-xOqr5A4
This just happened today; been using 3.0.1 for years, Win 7 Pro, never seen this. Opens with popup about a previous session exited prematurely: Continue now, Delete or Continue laterOpens defaulted to Multitrack view; when I try to switch to Edit veiw: "Shutting downTo continue where you left off, restart Audition" Followed by: "Runtime ErrorR6025 - pure virtual function call""ok", and crashes I can't resent Edit view to defaultSaving or closing whatever session it thinks is open in Multitrack view doesn't workchoosing "Continue" "Delete" or "Later" doesn't make a difference Earlier thread offered solution in XP or Vista (very old thread); how do I access hidden files in W7Pro,in case that would work? Old computer working fine, except for today's incident, first time ever.
I had to manually download some .wav files from a satellite service today and when I opened them in audition, using creative cloud & 2020 version, the last second of audio on each file was not present. When I open them in Windows media player, the last second is there... This is quite important to sort out as our entire building is using this software... is this a known issue or a simple setting that can be toggled? "Bueller? Bueller?" -G
