Besides Digital - Reaper and Audition - I use Analog tape. Thinking of grounding my Revox PR99 with a modern 3 prong cord. Is this a good idea? Is the 2 prong cord still ok? No noise or hum. All Studio gear is on the same 12 outlet surge protector 4700 joules.
I have been editing a project in Audition that has video, and at a certain point in the project the video is left on a black screen. It only gives an image when it paused the playback and it is only with a project, do you know why?
We do not support recording when the session sample rate does not match your hardware sample rate.Your current hardware sample rate is: 44100Hz. When I right click the SPEAKER icon and go in to change the system rate I set it to MAX(16/192 for both recording and playback)However when you OPEN UP AA 3.0 and look under Audio Hardware Setupit's frozen at 16/44 with no open dropdown menu to change it. So AA still thinks it's running at 16/44. Second question Simultaneous 4-channel analog recording (from cassette reel to reel or Quad 8 track). The soundcard has a Stereo Front a Stereo Rear and a Stereo Center/Sub input -but when you open up AA 3.0 even though you have cords plugged in and the system(W7 64 bit) set to 4-channel recording - AA 3.0 refuses to budge out of stereo. They gave me 5.5 for free already but I used it twice and threw it out bec it's missingtoo many features from 3.0 that I need to work in the legacy quadraphonic world.
I have a little but annoying problem. While synchronizing audio with video on, the video freezes randomly and then continues but the original audio got unsynch even more thanks to this making it imposible for me to continue working. Is there any tip or tips you can give me to prevent a bumpy playback? Thanks in advance.
Hi everyone!!! I'll explain because I know the subject may seem weird. I'm using Audition 2020. I'm sichronizing audio with video and every clip audition creates for every silence etc you add, is created in.wav format, which by the time you finish your proyect can take up a lot of your hardrive space. On my last proyect I consumed more than 250 GB of disc space in a two hour video and and had to free up space to be able to finish. As a result I'm wondering: Is there a way to change that default wav format for newly generated clips to mp3 for example? (I know you can do that by exporting but that would be for the final version and that's not what I want) I hope you can clear my doubt. Thanks in advance.
I use Adobe Audition 3.0 in Windows 10. I have done single-source recordings for decades, but now windows doesn't recognize my input device. I have a tascam converter to USB. I have used microphones and line output through this device with no problems. Lately I added some plug and play speakers, with a headphone jack to the system. Now, when I plug in the Tascam, it mutes the speakers, including the headphone jack. When I check the audio hardware setup the speakers are now nowhere to be found, and I have to exit audition and reinstall the speakers. I can get no audio input to the multi-track view, regardless of speaker status...Is either Windows, Audition, or Tascam doing something behind the scenes with my drivers? this makes love multi-tracking impossible. Help!
Audition is shutting down when I try to open recent sessions. Or I just get the spinning ball and have to do a Force Quit. The seesions were running fine but now they will not open. I can open other older sessions. I tried opening the Back Ups of these sessions from my Creative Cloud Files with the same results. How can I find the problem?Read Entire Message
I notice Audition won't open M4A files. Is there a plugin that can be downloaded to make this happen? I suppose I could copy my M4A's to CD and open them that way.... as long as during the copy process no loss of quality happens to the files. Kind of a pain to copy them all to disc and open them as track 1, track 2. etc., instead of the original name of the files.
please can you give audion for free becouse i nt have enough money right now i really need this please please i will pay later on please
Hi, we've recently updated our audio interface from the Focusrite Scarlett to the TASCAM US-4xhr so that we can host multiple guests on our podcast at once. However when I try to select the inputs in Audio Hardware only 2 appear and not 4! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hello, On Audition, is it possible to separate into two audio tracks (vocal and instrumental) a song already mixed in MP3 format? Thank you.
I had to install windows 10 last night, A few strange things happened I was able to fix all but one.The tempo on all of the songs has slowed down I can't seem to find where to adjust the tempo, I'm using audition 2018, Really appreciate any help, thanks Rick
will Adobe Audition 1.5 work in Windows 10?
I use Auditio 2021 (recent Apple update), and began having difficulty editing. Software doesn't recognize my commands and launches the color wheel. If I continue editing, the system goes through all my commands. By the time I wait this out, a significant amount of time has lapsed. I'm a fast editor paid to perform this service. Rebooting does not help. Any guidance or suggestions. I use macOS Big Sur 11.5 Thanks!
A colleuague of mine is about to share a large Folder of work ( around 70 gB) more than i have room for on my internal SSD drive. I've tried to move the location of the Folder undo the Syncing menu but when I do I get these error messages. Any help gratfully appreciated...
Hello! My interface keeps lagging hen I hit play, even though the audio plays normal. I have 32gb of ram, a Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10875H CPU @ 2.30GHz 2.30 GHz and 2tb of ssd space, so this isn't because of memory or processing power. The video below shows whats happenng. I tried reinstalling and it got better for some time but now it's lagging again.Anyone have ideas on what to do?https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BpdS-VGquERZvZ_ehzCgDCyMVKFnbsh9/view?usp=sharing
Error with file:AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Audition\14.0\eb808be3-ab46-4b2b-8c69-7d417b21bf96\Audition14BlockRecovery I'm trying to record an audio in audition, but when I go to file>new>audio file this error occurs, what should I do?
Hello all, I've been searching everywhere for an answer to this. I've tried customer service even as far as having a screen share.I can't hear out of my headphones while recording. The Mic is picking up the sound and I can hear playback thru the headphones after I've recorded. I have a Macbook air 2020 and am using a Apogee USB mic. It's very confusing because I'm not new to recording... but am unable to find a solution. I need to be able to hear what I'm doing as I'm doing it (Voiceovers).
Audition 14.4 is available for download from the Creative Cloud desktop application. This update includes multiple bug fixes & performance improvements. What's fixed? Incorrect sample rate was displayed in the audio hardware preference for MME (Windows) if system default input and output are used and the input and output sample rates differ. If file is cut into two or more clips, Strip Silence doesn't analyze, strip, or split beyond the first clip. Audition could crash while opening video file when both Preview Editor and Spectral Pitch are open. Audition could crash when making a selection in the Waveform editor when Preview Editor and Spectral Frequency are open. Loudness Radar is listed as a track and clip effect in Mac ARM native Audition. CD burning library could not be loaded on Windows machines. To know more about bug fixes for earlier versions, visit the Fixed Issues page.
I am running the latest version of Audition and suddenly I cannot record or playback any new multitrack sessions. Waveform mode plays and records fine but I cannot get the multitrack function to work at all.
I've made 4 calls in 40 minutes to tech support. Zero help.No one workign there knows how to import a preset file.I'm trying to transfer presets from old Mac to new. They tell me they have to look it up and read how to do it, but then tell me they have to " escalate the call" and tell me I'll get a call back " between 24 and 48 hours". The overseas audio was horrible, with an echo on top of that bad quality. This is the worst tech support I've ever seen. I can't find the solution in google.
I have recently installed Adobe Audition but have never used it. I need someone to explain how to batch process multiple files with the following set of actions:1) Import all the files from a specified directory (including subdirectories).2) Align the tracks end to end one below another.3) Import a specified file with a background melody. 4) Duplicate the track with the melody as many times as needed until its length is no shorter than the total length of all the tracks above it. 5) Trim the track to match the total length of all the tracks above it. 6) Mix the melody with each of the tracks above. 7) Export all of the tracks into .mp3 files in a specified folder. The files with the exported tracks should have the same names as the original files.
Hello! I'm using Audition on a Windows laptop, and I've run into kind of a sticky situation I haven't been able to find an immediate answer to online that also aligns with my lack of Admin privileges to easily download and install new apps (I'm using a work computer with Admin restrictions). Here's what's up: On Windows 10, my Zoom In/Out is tied to the Alt key (Vertical/Amplitude zoom in the Multitrack Editor, Horizontal/Time in the wave form editor). I'll often zoom in and out (or enlarge/decrease wave form size) while editing, but whenever I press the Alt key, it accesses the Menu at the top of the screen, so when I press spacebar again to stop playback, the result is the Menu being selected, rather than stopping playback. (see below link to the below screen recording I put on YouTube) I do the zooming by pressing Alt and scrolling my mouse wheel. I hence thought an easy solution would be changing the Zoom's hotkey from Alt to something else, e.g. Shift; ho
I know that this issue has been addressed in the past, and it's sounded like there haven't been any solutions. But in case anyone has stumbled upon something that works, please let me know ... I installed my Audition 2.0 on a new computer yesterday. Of course, I've run into the same old issue of both the internet and phone activation processes being no longer available. I went around in circles with Adobe chat people this morning ... so, unless I can find a solution (or am willing to pay money for creative cloud services) I guess I won't be using Audition on my new computer any time soon. Thanks in advance for any/all assistance!
I purchased a license for Audition CS5.5 years ago. Haven't used the program in a long time. Tried to run it today and get an error message that it's not properly licensed and I have to buy another license. Anyone familiar with this issue?
