Hi,I have a severe problem with the spectral frequency analysis in Audition. When I zoom into it so I can see defects like clicks and hit play (with the option to have the cursor always centered during playback activated), the scrolling of the spectral analysis is very jittery/choppy and absolutely not eye-friendly. I had the same problem when I installed CS6 on my Windows 10 system, and the number one reason to switch to Cloud was to remedy this since it's impossible to work like this for me. I used to work with CS6 on Windows 7 and the analysis scrolled extremely smoothly and was easy on the eyes, by the way. My colleague has the same problem on his system. It doesn't matter whether the audio file is stored locally or elsewhere. Did anyone else encounter this problem and has found a solution?Thank you and all the best!
Hopefully you can help me with my, for a long time existing problem. For more than 15 years now I use Audition 1.5. Yes, I know: very old but it still can provide me with everything I need. Only one thing is gone and that's recording internal (mp3) and external (guitar) audiosignals. With the help of a Dutch forum we tried everything, but all in vain. It simply won't do recording anymore ! And this has started happening only a few months ago, while no routings or other changes have been changed... It just doesn't receive audio anymore... At first WIN 10 was to blame, but importing the audio of an mp3 or an mp4 is no problem. Everything in myAudition1.5 works fine but recording. We have been thinking of missing dll's or orher missing components but we can't get it right. I always use a Soundcraft Notepad 12 fx mixer. From there a usb is connected to my computer to receive all audio to headphones and/or my two connected KRK studio monitors. This is still working
While I record I am getting a bit of static that lasts for one second and it happens every 60 seconds. I have a Sennheiser Mk4 as a microphone, a brand new XLR cable connecting it to my Behringer Xenyx 1204 Mixer.I tried it with a different mic, different XLR cable, different USB cable and the static still happens. I can even hear it sometimes between playback as long as one of the mics is unmuted. Though I have not heard the static in different programs such as Discord and such. Could it be something wrong with the mixer? The connection? Adobe? What do you think?
Recently I was forced to upgrade to Win11 and using an Audio Science 5611 Sound Card and Audition build 22.3.0.60. Often Audition loses the soundcard telling me they are not working properly. Yet Windows tells me they are. Sometimes upon reboot they come back in Audition sometimes they don't...no set patern. Anyone?
Anyone have this issue? It's only in one project and just started today. When playing back the session, any change--mute a channel, level change on mixer, anything simple--even muting the master--takes about 10 seconds to take effect. I got an Adobe engineer on remote help, but I'm positive he didn't really know Audition and wasn't an audio person--unfortunately it was a waste of an hour. Thoughts? I don't remember machine specs offhand, but this has never been a problem. Thanks!
Hi,I recintly updated my computer with new video card (Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050ti) and more ram. Now Adobe Audition will not start. I see lots of posts about this but NO solutions?? Audition pops up in my menue bar but will not open. I tried installing 22.3, 14.4 and even 12.1.5 but none of them are working. I pay alot of money for sofware I cant use right now. Its so frustrating. Can anyone HELP? Thanks so much I have PC AMD Ryzen 7 1700x 8 core processor 3.40 GHZ 64.0 GB ram, 64 bit operating system 64x processor running on Windos 10 Pro os build 19044.1645
This happens randomly (roughly 1 out 10 times).Things I've tried:Restoring default settings.Cleaning cache.Installing other versions.Customer service offered no solution other than cleaning cache.I have 3090 RTX + AMD 5950 so I don't think my specs are weak.
Adobe Audition v 22.3 has been released and will be rolling out to customers worldwide over the next few days. This update fixes an issue where relinking a clip can select the wrong channels from the source file and change the channelization of the clip. To update the app, open the Creative Cloud desktop application and click the Updates tab on the top left. Find Audition in the list and click Update. Refer to this link to know more about the issues fixed in the previous versions.
Specifially, using the Spectral Frequency Display, what is the dark-ish line I'm seeing slightly above 10k that gaps but then continues above the gap?
I am working on a podcast with a colleague in another state. We both have purchased Audtion. We have collected clips in a Google drive and are able to edit those fine. When I create a mulittrack session, however, she can't work on it at her end. When she opens the sesx file, the clips I've added show up, but they aren't linked to anything and there's no sound. Is there a system we can use to collaboratively edit multitrack sessions? For ex, can we use Creative Cloud libraries? Or is there a way to re-link the files to the multitrack session when we open it from a new computer?

Good afternoon. I have bought and downloaded some iZotope plug-ins to help remove mouth noise from my voiceover recordings, but Audition has loaded all of said plug-ins in three separate areas under "Effects": VST, VST3, and AU. (As in, all the same plug-ins are available for me to use in all three areas.) Would anyone happen to know what the difference is between those three, and what exactly they are? I have tried to Google which one I should use, but can't make heads or tails of all the technical jargon users post on Reddit and Quora. I'm not too fancy with vocal editing yet, and I'm only trying to get rid of a bit of noise without ruining the quality of the recordings. Is there anyone who could possibly explain the differences between those three? Thank you so much in advance!
Is there a way to set a punch out point when doing punch and roll? In the tape recorded days I had to set a punch in point and punch out point. then it would automatically stop recording at a certain point so you didn't accidentally record over any good audio after the bit you were replacing. But all the tutorials I've watched so far have folks stopping the punh recording manually by pressing the space bar. Am I missing someting? Thanks!
I keep running into this problem when saving a wav to an mp3. I work for an indie radio station that requires all the uploads to be at -0.1dB. I do this through applying a hard limiter on the wav file, then saving as an mp3. This works fine, but if I close the file out of audition then re-open it to check it, it's no longer limited to -0.1, it's hitting 0db and clipping. Sometimes the track length has changed too, usually by around 0.08s but I need it to be exact. I've also tried saving it as an mp3 first and then hard limiting it, but that makes no difference. Is there something in my settings I need to change? Is there an easier way to do what I'm doing than using the limiter? Thanks!
Hello Audtion Community, Here is a strange one. I have a multitrack file (radio show) that is 2:00:00 in duration. When I go to export the session to an MP3, the resulting file is only 1:59:53 in duration. I am running the most recent build. This happens regardless of whether I am exporting to a MP3, WAV, or other format. This is a new issue that I have never seen before. Any insight on how to correct this would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hi. Onedrive is not visible in the Media Browser anymore, with the current 2020 edition. Please advise.

I've been editing a sequence from premiere in audition for a week now (dynamic link). But yesterday, the video stopped showing up. I have the window open, and all my sound clips are properly linked, but I can't see my video. Thoughts? Build 22.3.0.60
Hello! I have a recording with sound quality that I would like to improve. Got Adobe Audition software and tried various things in there (mainly different Effects). However, I'm not a professional and whatever I do does not make much of a difference. The software is clearly designed for professionals (too many parameters to change). Thus, I'm seeking some professional advice. Here is the excerpt of the audio which should also be available in this message (it's my first post and I don't know if the file is attached properly). I would really appreciate it if someone could provide some advice on how to improve the quality of the audio (if it is possible). Thank you very much in advance!
Not sure what's going on but there are VSTs that refuse to work in Adobe Audition using Izotope 9 on an M1 mac.
When trying to save multitrack session this message comes up sometimes with a progress bar that never advances. After waiting several minutes, clicking the close box leads to "Audition not Responding" requiring a force-quit, causing session to not close properly. I don't see any mention of this dialog box anywhere on this support site - has anyone else ever seen it?
I recorded a project in Audition on my MAC, but when I go to listen to it in Audition on my MacBook Air the plugins cannot be found and are greyed out. I looked in the plugin manager and they are all there and enabled. What is causing this problem and how do I fix it? Thanks
I rarely use Audition but the last few times I used it the sounds I want to remove (high pitched hums in the background) are audible in PP but inaudible in Audition. I've tried tweaking a few setting that connect to my speakers/headphones but I still can't hear the sounds I want to remove in Audition. How can I troubleshoot and fix this issue?
I exported the audio from a scene in Premiere to Audition, and when I play the clip, I hear every track except for the center one. As you can see from the image, there is a waveform in the center channel and it is appearing in the levels panel. Is this a problem with my speakers? I can hear the clip fine when I'm just playing the audio track from Premiere, so I don't think it's that. Any help would be appreciated.
