Real life scenario: I'm working on a multi-track project that's 20 minutes longI'm almost done with my mixI realize there's an "ummm" in the voicetrack (Track 2) that needs to be taken outI have music and/or sound effects running under that on Tracks 3 and 4I have a ton of stuff all lined up behind this and want everything to move over (ripple) once I take out the "ummm" I can't just do ripple delete time selection on selected track---because that'll only move everything on THAT TRACK, and all the other tracks will be out of syncI can't do ripple delete time selection on all tracks---because it not only cuts the ummm from my track, it cuts everything on every other track directly above or below it! Just moved from Vegas (the program) where this was super easy: you snip the umm, everything to the left of the clip with the snip ripples, but you're not cutting other things on other tracks. What's the solution, or at least the best workaround? Thanks very much!
Es posible fusionar dististas sesiones de trabajo multipista en una sola sesión de Audition?
Hi everyone, I am only getting sound out of one speaker from my laptop when playing back recordings on Audition. I have a MacBook pro 13 and I am using a Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 3rd Gen as my audio interface. All the permissions, sound, hardware choices are set up properly for input and output on both the laptop and Audition. It records fine but whether I use headphones or the speakers as output I only get sound out of the left one. Both work fine for sound when I play videos from YouTube, only the recordings. Any help is appreciated!!!
Due to the sheer number of sessions and imported files, I transferred all the session data to an external drive. Now that I try to open them in Audition, I'm getting an Error: File Format Not Supported message. Nothing has changed outside moving the session file and all the imported, backups, conformed files to an external drive for space. Can someone help with resolving this. I'm on a macbook pro. I'm on the latest build of Adobe. I tried reverting back to old versions and that didn't help. The sessions were created from August to November 2021. It's not even allowing me to link media.Any help would be appreciated. This is client work so I'm worried this could impact future work for me.
Wonder if anyone is having the same problem as me: I've been recording voiceovers in Audition (25.3) with a buffer of 256 without issues but after updating to Windows 24H2 (I'm on the latest version of Windows 11 home edition), I am getting glitches and random dropouts in my recordings. I record at 24 bit, 48khz, mono. As a workaround, if I increase the buffer in Audition to 1024, the errors disappear, but I shouldn't have to do this. If I record in REAPER at a 256 buffer, I have no issues...so it 'appears' to be an issue between Audition and the Windows Update. I have raised a ticket with Adobe but I would like to know if anyone else has experienced the same issue and if you've found a solution.
I've been looking all over for some kind of discussion/solution and can find nothig. It's really simple. I have a bunch of 15 year old video transfers from VHS tapes, and they are full of wow (and possibly flutter - but deffo wow). It's not music just spoken word. How do I use Audition to sort them out. Chris
Help! I recorded a podcast back in January using multitrack I believe. I have the ses file saved and have two back ups, but when I open it up, it says it is 3:42:322 long (I think that's 3 hours, 42 minutes right? Or is that 3 minutes 42 seconds and 322 milliseconds?). But even though it has length, there is absolutely no audio in it from when I recorded. It's not a hardware issue. Literally looks like it's just nothingness. We definitely played it back after recording it back in January and there was originally sound. See the screenshot to see what I'm talking about. Did I have to export the file as a mp3 or wav in order to retain the recording I made within the ses? Like, would it have stored my recordings in a temporary location then deleted? Any help would be appreciated. Really hoping it's not gone for good. 😞
Hello Adobe people I sometimes have an issue recording phone calls and the file has gaps that when closed up it sounds fine. It's a buffer issue on the phone software. Is there a setting in Adobe audition that allows you to close those gaps automatically. Without having to manually close them by deleting the gap. Thanks in advance
Gday guys,I have a female voice recording and need to add a (AI) artifical intelligence or robotic tone to it. Can anyone help to achieve this within Audition without external plugins? Thanks,Alex
This is in my muscle memory from using Cool Edit / Audition 2 and 3 for many many years.Constantly having to move the mouse up to the mini-waveform scroll pane slows down workflow when editing considerably. Not all of us are using a trackpad. Thanks for reading, if any developers actually read this stuff, that is.
HI I'm a voice actor I have a client who needs to me to create 216 individual VO tracks for various scripts. It's extremely tedious having to create each track name manually. Is there a way I could upload perhaps a spreadsheet/csv/pdf to audition to create the track names automaticlly?
I have a view different Adobe Audition files that I use on a very regular basis. Being able to PIN them to either the OPEN or OPEN RECENT menus or the toolbar (like we can in almost any other file-producing software out there) would be a real time-saver. Pretty please.
After capturing audio of a person talking from cassette, there are many loud clicks everytime they switched the recorder on and off, which they did often. There are too many to do each one manually. How can we reduce those levels without messing with the voice? Thanks.
I'm having trouble saving selected files separately in Adobe Audition. When I right-click on the chosen files, there's no save option. Saving normally only saves the entire project. To get the 'Press OK to make a copy' prompt, I've had to export the selected files as a WAV file, then import that file back into the project. However, Adobe compresses and degrades my files during export, even when I choose WAV format. I need a way to select any clips I want and export them exactly as they are in the project, with lossless quality. Can you help me find a solution?

Hi there!!!In 25.3 version of Premiere Pro I faced a problem. I'm trying to send the sequence to Audition and choose render video as DV Video and it show an error says "Export Error". Latest version when it worked is 25.1. Is this a bug?
Hello everyone, At some point in the last few days, the DeNoise effect seems to have stopped working for me. Applying the effect no longer creates any noticeable difference in the audio, and in the effect display panel, there are no red areas at the top of the display that normally indicate where noise is being removed. When I output noise only, I hear nothing. I updated to the latest version of Audition and the problem persists. I tried using the effect on a vocal track that I previously successfully removed some background white noise from. The effect created no audible difference even at 100%. In the spectral frequency display, I did notice that applying the effect made the midrange a teeny tiny bit lighter, which makes me think the effect is doing something, it's just not doing anything useful. I haven't changed anything else about my setup. Any ideas what's going wrong here?
For some reason the frequency analysis hold funtion now doesn't work properly with stereo files. If you hold the curves from one stereo file and then try to view the frequency analysis of another stereo file, your two curves turn into one curve that I have no idea what it is. This tool worked fine in Audition 3.0 so I'm not sure how this was missed for all this time.
Hi thereApologies if my post is similar to others in the past. I've been using Audition for a year and it's worked very well. I'm a voiceover artist, usually the maximum I use is 2 tracks in a multitrack session. Recently my sessions have been plagued by the playhead lagging behind the audio, making it difficult to edit efficiently and costing me time in the process. Audition normally loads fine but within the first few minutes after recording the lagging begins. Typically my effects rack is EQ, De-Click, De-Mouth, De-Ess, Auto Gate, Compression and a Limiter (The Wall). These have never caused an issue before. Recently I installed a plugin called Supertone Clear which uses machine-learning to seperate room sound from the voice. I imagine this is quite taxing. However, I have tried several scenarios, restarting Audition and the Macbook in turn and removing Supertone Clear from my effects rack and the issue remains. Can anyone help? 🙂ThanksG
Help! I have a recording that finishes at 28 minutes, but the playhead continues on after that until it hits 40 mins approx - and that's what the file saves as - 40 mins. I have no idea why this is happening - there's nothing else recorded after that. How do I cut it so that there isn't 10+mins of silence playing at the end?
Version 25.2.0.123 MacOSWhen switching files in waveform view, Audition is not remembering the playhead position, instead it changes it to the position of the last file. Play should stay in the same place when the file was last active.
Hello Adobe Community! I am looking to shorten some music tracks for an upcoming dance performance event, and rather than just fading songs out at the end I am looking to cut out repetitive sections of the songs. Does anyone have any advice for doing this in a way that makes it not obvious to our audience that the music has been edited? Any tips on clean transitions in a song when a chunk has been taken out? For context, most of my experience with the adobe suite has been for graphic design, but I am learning this program as a hobbyist and am by no means doing this professionally. I am also a dancer and often have to shorten songs to fit into performance time slots, so I am hoping to gain a better understanding on the best ways to do this.
Windows 10 64 bit; Audition CC 2019The title of this discussion says it all. I have to record myself reading a script which is in a PDF file. I was hoping to import the PDF and be able to read it while seeing the Audition interface and record my voice. Can this be done? I can convert the text to another format such as Word or even a text file, if PDF isn't supported. It would just be very helpful to see it within Audition.
