Considering buying Apollo x8 with thunderbolt. The only information I can find states the audio connection is from a sound card.Question: Can I use a thunderbolt e-pci card with an Apollo unit?
Hey folks, I am new to recording podcasts and I was hoping to find an answer. I recently purchased a Blue Yeti mic that is omni/multidirectional. I am going to record a podcast at home with my wife and wanted to share the microphone. I'm wondering if it is possible to make the Host/Interviewee tracks separate, based on the direction the speaker is talking. I'd like to make the Host track record when I speak into the front of the mic and than have the Interviewee track record when she speaks into the opposite end of the microphone. Is that a thing? Probably not, but thought i'd ask.
Is there a way that I can see what format, bit-rate, etc, web-based audio is in (I'm thinking of something like Vimeo or Youtube) by channeling it into Adobe Audition? Or will it already have been converted by then according to my computer's audio settings? Is there another way to do this--to see what quality of audio is actually coming in via the web? ThanksJim
I have an adobe audition question ... I have two files in multitrack that I would like to mixdown/save to wav or mp3 but have the two original files be each the left and right channel of the stereo.
"The Channel Volume Effect has been converted to Amplify in the clips effects rack." This has placed a thousand instances of the Amplify effect into each audio clip. This is a live two hour broadcast TV show with over 60 tracks of audio and a tremdous amount of edits using the top of the line new Mac Pro. The premiere project was Send to Audition, but the premiere project has no channel volume effect in the audio. Even when I strip everything from the Premiere project with just a few clips as a test it does the same thing. How can Audition place in new effects in clips? Is there a way to batch remove all attributes from all audio clips in Audiion? Doing to in Premiere does nothing.
I can't assign individual mics to tracks using my persons 192. It only offers line 1/2 rather than individual lines. Only one mic is recording. Ive selected mono and not using the podcast template.
Dear Audition-users, The issue is: i starten a multitracksession (2 tracks)Recorded the first track. After that i startet to record the second track.During recording de second track a can hear the first track, so i play exactly on that track (with keybord).Strange thing is, while playing back both tracks, the second track is not in line with the first track, altough i playd exactly on track 1.Is upon mentioned a wrong way to seperately record tracks? How can i prevent this or do i ever have to line up the two tracks manually??Thanks for responding!Johan
There is some easy way to change the audition audio output, very often use the headphones or the output for speakers, I always have to open the audition configuration and change it manually, it can not be done when you change it by the Sitema, too Is it changed in audition? or do a keyboard shortcut?
Adobe Audition. How can I shorten 50 different audio files to 2 minutes with a batch and then save them to new files? I have 50 audio files that I would need to shorten down to 2 minutes (I only need the intro) and then save down to a new file.
I was toying around in Audition's multitracker and put a vocal remover on a song, then in the track below put the same song again (without the vocal remover this time) so it would be easier to sing along to. However, the song the second time around had the vocal remover still. I tried a different song in a different track and it kept the vocal remover, so I made sure my effects were all turned off and started a completely new file. The vocal remover was still there in the new file, so I uninstalled Audition entirely and reinstalled it, and started a new file. I checked the effects and again, no effects were turned on. I uploaded another song to it and, of course, the vocal remover is still on, and I have no clue how to turn it off. Even deleting the Vocal Remover effect from Audition altogether didn't help. Anyone know any fixes to this/this permanent effect problem?
bonjour jai un souci je n'ai pas accès a preset poiur pouvoir changer et mettre en pode podcast radio ectsi quelqu'un a eu le meme probleme .merci
Has anyone had success utilizing the ZoomAudioDevice with Audition? I tried a test to see if I could record a Zoom call straight into a multi-track session in Audition using the ZoomAudioDevice. It shows up as an input and an output in the Audio Hardware list as well as mapping, but when I go an arm to record there are no levels bouncing and get no waveform of the person talking. I feel like there's some button somewhere that needs to be clicked, but haven't found it yet.
Last week I noticed that a soundfile sounded really poor in Adobe Audition. I assumed it was a bad recording and set about fixing it. But when I imported the file into Final Cut Pro (or even just played it in QuickTime), I realised that the problem wasn't the file, but Adobe Audition. I have since seen similar descrepancies with other audio files and other apps e.g. Logic Pro. All the soundfiles sound terrible in Audition (like a 70s transistor radio) but fine in other apps. I can't find any answer to this - hence I'm posting it here. I don't know if this is the issue, but under preferences > Audio Hardware, the Sample Rate is 8000 - and it won't let me change this.
Hey Audition users -I'm a longtime user of an early edition, having transitioned years ago from the Cool Edit Pro days, i.e. Audition 1.5. (Although the forum shows me as a newbie because the old forum system, with different logon, was apparently retired.) I never upgraded because v1.5 served my needs and was so intuitive. Due to finally needing to join the rest of the world, because of items like 3rd party plugins not working with old DAWs, I am upgrading to the latest version. I notice, however, that the very familiar (and useful) toolbar ribbon is gone, not only from the current version, but some older versions (maybe all after 1.5?). The only items I see on the toolbar now are a few selection tools and buttons for accessing spectral views. There doesn't seem to be a way to set up great one-click buttons to the variety of things I use. Yes, there is a Favorites heading, and there are keyboard shortcuts to learn. But for most of the tools, it appears that pulling down menus and sub-m

Hi. It's been posted here a few times, and I wish I could recall who gave up the solution. But, it seems that anything newer than version 12 of Adobe Audition will progessively slow down as you make ripple deletes along a timeline. It starts out almost normal and then, with each ripple delete, the wheels spin for a longer and longer time as the interface hangs. My last edit took 20 seconds. This is repeatable on both MAC and PC.And, frankly, this kind of lag time associated with a commonly used tool makes this product practically unusable. This a a severe bug which despearately needs attention.
Just as the title says, I cannot open these effects at all. I can apply the effects rack fine, but the top menu dropdown is essential for me and it is not working, especially Noise Reduction Process. I cannot even get to that effect and I use it all the time. I am working on 14.0 on a laptop with a single screen and rebooting has not worked. Wondering if there is another solution before I go ahead and uninstall/reinstall stuff.
Dear community, I am new to Audition and trying to get familiar with it. Unfortunately, I could not find any solution to my problem.Multitrack Session: If I record my voice in the Multitrack Session part and listen to it in the Multitrack Session view, there is a constant high random background noise to hear (especially when my voice is pausing). If I double click on the recorded track to work on it, the noise is almost gone. If I play the same file in the Audio Section the track is also almost clean. The spectral frequency doesn't show any strange noise to work on.Where does this noise come from? Is there something I need to click to get rid of it to be able to listen to it also in the Multitrack Session? Anything I missed? I would like to master several tracks in the Multitrack Session and this noise is driving me crazy. Attached is a voice file played in the Multitrack Session and afterwards played after double clicking on it. Is there an automatic noice reduction active i
I want to remove audio from a video file/vlog in order to use it as a podcast. However, as the video file is also my original vlog broadcast, I don't want any changes that I make to affect the vlog audio. how can I do this in audition?
I am not able to open Adobe Audition and I always get this error message.
I've been using Adobe Audition for years, and before that, Cool Edit Pro, so I'm pretty experienced with it. But the panels are, for lack of a better word, free-floating. They have the white bar at the top of each panel, and nothing I do seems to solidify them (again, for lack of a better word. When I go to the panel settings, "Undock Panel" is greyed-out... and I don't know if that's the problem anyway. I've attached a screenshot which I hope may clarify the situation. I have this display customized for my audio book narration processing. If anyone knows what's going on here, please let me know. Thanks! Steve Biddle [Mod note - personal email details removed]
At the start of mixdown I get an error code C000000005.Never seen that before and have no idea how to fix it.
Trying to record a voice over in multitrack. Using a condenser mic through Motu Audtio Express. For 2 weeks AA has crashed constantly. Crashes when I hit record, hit spacebar to stop, selct output for my headphones. You name it. Have re-installed multiple times. Ran update today. Was on phone with Adobe support a week ago. They remote into my machine and said it was the audio interface. I was using an adapter to plug into the USB type C. I thought that might be the issue. Got a type b to type c USB 2 cable to run direct. Issue persists. I have isolated the problem to Adobe Audition. Using the same settings and hardware I have successfully rcpordeed to Reaper, Audacity, and Garage Band multiple times without crashing. The only software that won't work is Audition. Audition does work using the built in speakers and mic, but that does me no good. Why are other softwares not having ths

Still having trouble mixing down to file.. Attached is what is happening, nothing seems to be highlighted. I am also using a laptop. The "entire session" is not highlighted for me to mixdown on the second picture. I have already saved the session. How can I correct this? I'm also using the updated version of Adobe.
