My students are creating podcasts in my class. One of my students conducted an interview which sounds fine when she plays it for me from the file she saved on her computer. However, once she imports it into Audition, the silences-- or rather, places where conversation naturally paused or a speaker paused for a second or two-- are filled with a scratching noise that sort of sounds like someone is moving around paper or an object being moved across a table. I'm not sure why this is happening or how to fix it so it doesn't happen on import. Noise reduction hasn't done anything to fix it within Audition either. I know how to remove these "scratchy" sections by clipping them out-- but that's rather painstaking for her given the recordings are long (and, she has 3 separate interview recordings which are problematic). Any thoughts on why this is happening and/or a less painstaking way to get rid of the scratching noise where pauses in speech are naturally occuring?
I know how to create a 4 channel audio file, which I can then drop into a surround 5.1 track, but it creates a few weird artifacts. Is there any way, or any planned updates, that will allow me to create a proper ambisonic track?
Cannot loop selected track in multitrack. I want to just loop that section but it goes all the way to the end of the longest track before looping. Also, it is not possible to select loop like you can in Waveform mode. It also doesn't have an option to link what you've done in multitrack to Waveform. It should have the ability to revert changes individually based upon sections than doing a global redo of whatever you did on the app. There should be a redo/undo clipboard for certain areas. Doesn't have to be anything too crazy just something to narrow stuff down intuitively instead of being like oh I should've kept this but I didn't now I'm lost because I'm so many steps ahead in another area of development.
I recorded a zoom call and the audio sounds "watery" (that's the best way I can think to describe it). There's a bit of an underwater quality to the sound, with background noise that is kind of like being underwater, and the person talking is a little bit muffled at times in the same way someone sounds when underwater. I've tried the "dereverb" optiona and the "denoise" option and they help but it's still not great. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Below I've attached a sample of my audio and an image of the spectral frequency display.
In premiere pro I'm use to adjusting audio levels in small amounts using the bracket shortcuts '[' and ']' under premier's 'decrease clip volume' or 'increase clip volume' and I wanted to know if there was a similar shortcut that I could use in Audition
HelloI was wondering if someone can help me? I opened up my multitrack project and my clips were offline. When I go to relink them the .wav file is visible but light grey and can't be selected. I have tried All selected media and All files in the enable drop down menu with no luck. Can someone please help? I have to finish this project today.
I have worked on a project where I add audio to video. I worked in multitrack but when I open it now all tracks are empty! The project file is in the folder along with all the recording sounds. I'm pretty sure I saved the file before closing the program. What happened?
Just recorded a remote interview which, because of the program limitations, I was unable to monitor levels as I usually do. I imported it into Audition and our host is overmodulated. I folllowed Mike Russell's 2013 YouTube tutorial, "How to Fix Distorted Audio in Adobe Audition" and then used RX-8 De-crackle and De-clip plug-ins, and finally went into the spectral view in Audition and manually decreased the voulume of the high-end where most of the trouble is. But there is still "fritzing" and some distortion, so I could use some guidance from on-gigh -- anything else I can do to fix this?Sample of the un-repaired original and another one after processing. I've just used the Ses2Sesx programme (Suite Spot Studios ) and converted some cool edit sessions into Adobe Audition and they work well. What a godsend! Thank-you.
I'm using a Neumann TLM 102 microphone with a Zoom H4N connected via USB to my iMac running the latest version of Adobe Audition (CC 2021). Even though my Limiter is checked for Vocals in my Zoom H4n (which should prevent my audio from clipping) my audio is in fact clipping when I record it directly into Audition. The recording level on my H4N is set to 75. Could it be that when recording directly into Audition, the Limiter on my Zoom H4N is being bypassed? Just trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong or what I'm missing. In terms of my speaking style, I'm speaking close to the TLM102 (about 1 inch away) to get that proximity effect. But it shouldn't be causing any distortion/clipping if the Limiter on my H4N is on. Thanks in advance for any help or feedback with this.
When recording multichannel via Mac, I see several options (shown below). In Windows, I'm only seeing 01M and 02M. Has anyone seen this problem? How can I restore the multichannel options on Windows? Thanks in advance for your help.
Hello all,There used to be two buttons for waveform and multi-track view button in the upper-left hand corner of my edit window, above the files bucket (see attached). Now they've gone and I can't seem to get them back. I've also lost the little icons for trim, razor, etc. It seems to be some kind of view setting that has changed, but nothing that I've done in view seems to bring themm back. Can anyone assist? Many thanks!-Adam
I'm very new to this program, so it's possible I'm missing something obvious, but I followed all of the steps needed to make this work but nothing's happening on any of my recording software. I created a multitrack, added effects to a specific track, set it to my audio input and output devices, and primed it for recording, but nothing's working. All of the guides, including the official one, says it should work by then but I'm still stuck. Thanks for the help. Edit: I tried mapping a Virtual audio cable to the output, no change.
Wenn ich das Metronom verwende, wie verhindere ich das es auf die Aufnahme kommt?
remove dialogue from audio?
I'm hoping someone at Adobe will see this. I'm curious about some added functionality to Adobe Audition. I work in radio and was happy to see that Adobe Audition had functionality for Wide Orbit Radio Automation Metadata. By this I mean, Artist, Title, Intro and EOM information could be saved in the wav form and then read by Wide Orbit automation - thereby saving millions of radio people the extra step of having to enter this information manually in Wide Orbit's file system.I'm not working for Humana as their Senior Radio Station Consultant. Yes, we have a radio station! We use APEX and DIGILINK by Arrakis Systems and I'm curious if it would be possible to include the same metadata functionality Wide Orbit has in Adobe Audition, but for APEX/DIGILINK as well?
Hi, I'm running the latest Pr 22.0.0. and Audition 22.0.0.96 on a PC, AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor 3.70 GHz, 32GB RAM, NVIDIA GEForce RTX 2070 with the latest graphic drivers. Since doing the latest update to 2022 I am getting random general errors when right-clicking a clip in Premiere and selecting 'Edit clip in Adobe Audition'. This first started happening with GoPro footage so I thought this was specific to those clips, but it turns out it is happening completely randomly on my GH5 and Sony A7C footage as well. When I say 'random', I just managed to edited my first clip without issue, moved onto the next clip and this error occurs. I have never seen this before and have never had problems with any of my footage from any of my cameras before. The files are not corrupt as they open and play OK within Premiere and other apps. I have already re-installed Audition but since there is no error code to look into, I am at a loss as to what to do next. Any tips
Hello,I've just finished editing an interview in Audition (see attached clip). Just straight cuts and some gain adjustments. I want to distribute it on CD but I'm not sure what should be done to improve it or to raise the volume to a good even level. Should I first apply a hard limiter and then normalise the sound? If so, what settings to use? What are the standard settings for a CD containing speech? How loud should it be? Any other suggestions would be gratefully accepted. Thank you.
Hi, I have recorded some mono audio (voice) but somehow merging does not work. I have succesfully used merging earlier, but now when I have two clips (adjacent and on the same track) and Merge them the merged track is empty / no audio anymore. Does anyone know how I can solve this and make Merge work again?
HelloHad a power outage and when I opened Audition to record I am all of a sudden getting these 1 second interval Track markers that is causing an overall lag in recording between Track 1 and Track 2. I have a attached an image of the problem. Thanks
I download MPEG-4 audio only files from Zoom recordings, the only format available. Unfortunately my job's approved audio editing software cannot import MPEG-4, only WAV and AIFF. MPEG-4 is not listed as a supported file format: Find supported import formats for Adobe Audition CC It's not on thye list but IT wanted me to check to see if there is a workaround for MP4 as it is an encapsulation format. (IT strongly prefers I use Audition over rival software.) I did not find any posts in this community that specifically answesred this query. Any help or assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
I have a PC running Windows 10, 8 gigs of ram, Adobe CC. I have a Rode NT-1 Microphone and an AI-1 interface. I'm using WASAPI. I have updated the firmware and downloaded the most current drivers from Rode. In the waveform editor, when I press record the transport moves but no sound is being recorded and there is no wave form. The microphone is working and I hear my voice through my headphones. Playback works on already recorded audio.I'm a total beginner at home recording. However, I got lucky and everything was working when I first set it up. Then I tried to change the interface to ASIO which didn't work. Any help would be much appreciated.
Is it possible to make the above clip a bit transparent in clip overlay so I can see trough. This has been possible in Soundtrack Pro. This feature makes it very easy to ajust beats of two clips exactly.
My multitrack recording stops recording after about 30 min but the crezy thing is that the playhead keeps going. I looks like it is still recording but it is not leaving a waveform. The record button is still pressed and if I stop the recording it processng the tracks and makes it look as if I stopped the recording.
