Hey everyone,I’ve been using Adobe Audition to clean up audio recordings for podcasts and online courses. One of the recurring issues I face is dealing with background noise—especially ambient hums and light static. I’m currently using the Noise Reduction and Adaptive Noise features, but I feel like I’m not getting the cleanest results possible. Does anyone have a recommended workflow or settings that consistently work well? I’m also exploring external resources to refine my audio production skills. Looking forward to your tips and experiences using Audition for noise cleanup!
Hi, I'm fairly new to using Audition so bear with me. So I've been cutting out the commercials from some mp3 files (with Audition 2024) and everything was going fine, but then I get one in which the waveform isn't showing the full length of the mp3. It only goes up to 15 mins and stops. The file length is 3.5 hours. When I open the file in in my Windows media players, they will play the full 3.5 hours just fine. Does anyone know how I can fix this so that Audition shows me the full length of the mp3? Thanks in advance.
I am working on a piece where I talk for 2.41 seconds. Every thing was fine when I worked on recording yesterday. Today I cannot get the program to record anything. I mean it just stopped. The little red record button doesn't work. It doesn't even 'act' like its being selected. The other buttons seem to work, play, stop rewind, etc. I am working on a multi-track format and have seven tracks to record.
I recently tried to open an old multitrack file only to find it was empty. I opened up the file in notepad and I found that all the parts of the file that refer to the files used in the project, were missing. This is very odd because when I saved the file, they were actual functioning files with no data missing. Not only this, but the automatic Audition backups were also empty. I don't know what kind of bug has destroyed some of my old project file but it sucks to have to redo the whole project. I tried to attach one of the sesx files but it would'n't let me
I'm working in a project on Premier Pro, when I send the audio to Audition and try to apply de NR it show me this message "Adobe Audition CC quit unexpectedly." I have try everything but is not the file, is the program, any suggestions ? please let me know! Thanks!![Mod note - title changed to make it more specific.]
I am working to launch the trailer for a podcast and, before doing so, went into the Metadata window to add relevant ID3 tags. Everything adjusts correctly and saves accurately to the new mp3 EXCEPT the Recording Date. The default Recording Date on this file is, oddly, Dec 1, 2011 at 7:09:39 PM. I recorded this in May 2025, first opened Audition in 2023, and my iMac is 2013...so I am really at a loss as to why Dec 1, 2011. Anyway, no matter what I try (adjusting the information around what is there, fully deleting and then typing in the correct date with and without time, saving as .wav first, looking for software updates, rebooting my iMac, etc) the saved mp3 always shows a Recording Date of 2011. I've also several times seen it change back to 2011 after I've updated to 2025, as I edit another criteria. File I'm working with is a mp3. I have also tried working with the original sesx with same results. Adobe Audition 2025 (up to date). OS Sequoia 15.5. Date & Time on my i
Audition is running very slowly, taking up to a minute to do a simple merge clips, the beachball rolling on every action. It's enough to kill the creativity and destroy the smooth workflow I count on. I am working on a very fast computer with plenty of space -- a Mac Studio M1 Max Model 13,1, an Apple M1 Max chip, 10 cores, 64gb memory and 2TB of internal storage with 1.41 TB used. I am auto-updated, currently running OS 15.1 Sequoia. The project and all files are located on an external LaCie 8TB drive with 4.4 TB free. I am running Audition 25.3.0.71.Any thoughts? I have heard I should locate my project and all files on the internal HD and just use the La Cie for storage... Thanks. Rob
Simplemente no reproduce. No entiendo qué le pasa.
Hi All I have a Yamaha MG12xu mixer connected via USB to my laptop. The mixer is also connected to a pair of Yamaha HS5. The issue is, in multitrack recording, after recording the first track, when i arm and record the second track while having the first track in playback, it is recording the first track into the second one along with the instrument connected to the second. For example, in track 1, i recorded the drums. When i arm and record the bass guitar into track 2, the drums from track 1 is also getting recorded into track 2 along with the bass. Can anyone help with how to prevent this from happening? Thanks in advanceJoseph
I'm sorry, but WHERE THE HELL IS THE PREFERENCES BUTTON. I'm on mac, running audition 25.2. I simply wan't to toggle synchronize clips with waveform editor. It's not under the edit dropdown menu, and the only thing that comes up when I search "preferences" in the help menu is "Time display<synchonize with time display preferences." Is that the same thing at synchronize with wavform editor? Anywho, this is really frustrating 🙂
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OB7gi76h8Yo&t=78sHere is the enemy radio chatter voicelines of the ATC soldiers from an FPS game F.E.A.R.2.These voices have obvious breathing out or processed sounds of speech with reverbs, like when you stick your lips close to the mike of your headphone and record your voice on a radio. How to remove, or at least decrease the beneath muffled part and extract the clear and light part of the speeches? Thanks!
Please tell me I'm doing something wrong. I have been working professionally with Audition for around 10 years. I am used to having multiple tracks with multiple VST's activated with multiple bus tracks.I HAVE NEVER HAD A LAG PROBLEM. I used to work on an even slower system and zero issues. It's always been fast for me. Recently I am working on an animation and using Audition for the animatic sound. Everything is fine UNTIL I literally used one bus and slapped on only two instances of Fab Filter Q and C. This happens whenever I use Bus tracks or use more than one VST on a track.. even when I pre-render tracks. It lags up the whole project. Is there a problem with the i7 14th gen ? I have issues with ZERO other pr
I recorded some "On-Hold" messages for our phone system which I produced the finals in Audition CC. Unfortunately it ends up that the phone system (Avaya) requires a specific recording type and I'm not figuring out an export scheme to match what it requires.CCITT u-Law 8.000 kHz, 8 Bit, MonoWill someone knowledgeable on audio formats and the ability of Audition to export to this format let me know the settings or if it's even possible? Thanks,Dave
Please how can I use Adobe Audion CC to Stream live? I want speak into audition via Scarlett and path the mixed voice live to my streaming software (Obs). I hope this question is understandable. Is it possible to directly speaknlive using audition?
I'd like the shuttle to work like Premiere Pro's that doesn't change the pitch when I speed up the audio playback. This would help me edit so much faster.
Why is Audition recording room atmosphere and voiceover too loudly? Wavelengths of quiet room atmosphere (white noise) are HUGE and voiceover volume is recording so high it is off the charts and so loud it sounds like speakers turned up full blast. My settings in both software and hardware have not changed since my last recording session about a week ago when everything acted normally. There appears to be no solution for this. Does anyone have an idea of what could be going wrong?
When storing audio files on my PC I always downsample 192/24 audio files to 96/24 files using Adobe Auditon CS6. Yesterday, when playing back one such file, I was surprised to discover a single loud pop/click/skip in one downsampled track when listening to it using JRiver Media Center 34. On opening up the offending audio file in Adobe Audition CS6, I was puzzled to find that CS6 played it back without any problem. Visually, there appeared to be nothing much wrong with the waveform where the pop occurred, as can be seen here: However I then opened the same file at the same point in iZotope RX5 and got a bit of a shock because this is what it showed: So I have two questions. First, how can Adobe Audtion CS6 and iZotope RX5 give such remarkably different renderings of the same part of the same audio file? And second, if the iZotope RX5 rendering is accurate (as suggested by the pop/click/skip), how could a high quaity and trusted piece of software like CS6 introduce
Hi,I'm building a file that contains a sequence of multiple 1-second audio files (e.g., sweeps, harmonics, noise bursts). In the Multitrack editor, I’ve aligned them side by side, with Snap to Clip Edges enabled and no intentional overlap or crossfade between them. However, every time I try to combine them—whether by:Bounce to New Track > Selected Clips,Export Mixdown, orusing Merge Clips…the resulting file shows visible and audible overlap between signals, especially at the transitions (see spectrogram). All files were generated with “Effect > Generate > Tones”, duration 1 second. I’ve:Disabled global clip stretchingDisabled all fades and crossfadesDisabled smoothing of edit boundaries in PreferencesTried adding a 5ms gap between all files in my track before bouncingTried adding 1ms fade-in fade-out in my clipsDespite this, there is still consistent spectral and temporal overlap in the output file. For my use case, I need the signals to remain perfectly adjacent, sample-a
Hello, Last week I edited some videos with the same configuration with no issue. Today, my eardrums get blown out by my video's audio being 100x the volume it's supposed to be, I've been scouring the internet for a few hours and the only solution that has worked for me was to revert to an older 2024 version of the software. Will there be a better solution to this moving forward? 2024 Audition vs latest version Audition Waiting impatiently to hear something back. With tinnitus,Martin
I've been using Audition since before Adobe bought it, and it's always been the best audio editing program. But the last few years it has suffered an incredible amount of crashing. Today it crashes at least three times a week and causes me to spend from one to three hours making something, which disappeared when Audition crashed. I am madly frustrated that Audition has become directly counterproductive. When the program crashes, you can download a version that it thinks is the last saved version, I tried that once and it was a disaster. For some mysterious reason it never fetches the last saved version. When I tried, it downloaded a much, much older version than the ones I could load myself. Again directly counterproductive. I've been thinking about writing for a few years, but dropped the idea as I'm sure it won't lead to anything. But now I'm so frustrated that I have to spend so much extra work just because the Audition keeps crashing, so now I'm trying. Does anyone know what this i
Adobe audition - sesx files to resell with filters, is it possible? I would like to create a presets and sell them to and eshop. Thanks you guys for clarify.
Hi everyone... I am looking to finally transition to Adobe Audition after using Cool Edit for decades. I tried playing around with a bit of mastering today, but found that my exported tracks seemed to have compressed the waveform a little. Sorry if my explanations are poor, but hopefully this pic will demonstrate what I'm talking about. You can see the original version of the left, and then my two Audition exports on the right, which look considerably 'smaller' in its waveform range. Is there a default setting or something that would force this? Thanks in advance for any and all assistance!- Ryan.
In the parametric equaliser, you are able to keyframe all the different values except the Low Pass filter (LP). Playing with the other envelopes doesn't give me the same scope of control and not being able to alter it over time is a bit frustrating! Am using it in the effects rack in Multitrack Editor. Opening up the "show envelopes" menu shows every value except for the Low Pass.
Hi, I need to keyframe the Parametric Equalizer - LowPass frequency, but I donť see an option in the envelopes drop down menu, see image, or maybe I'm just blind.
