Hi everyone... I am looking to finally transition to Adobe Audition after using Cool Edit for decades. I tried playing around with a bit of mastering today, but found that my exported tracks seemed to have compressed the waveform a little. Sorry if my explanations are poor, but hopefully this pic will demonstrate what I'm talking about. You can see the original version of the left, and then my two Audition exports on the right, which look considerably 'smaller' in its waveform range. Is there a default setting or something that would force this? Thanks in advance for any and all assistance!- Ryan.
In the parametric equaliser, you are able to keyframe all the different values except the Low Pass filter (LP). Playing with the other envelopes doesn't give me the same scope of control and not being able to alter it over time is a bit frustrating! Am using it in the effects rack in Multitrack Editor. Opening up the "show envelopes" menu shows every value except for the Low Pass.
Hi, I need to keyframe the Parametric Equalizer - LowPass frequency, but I donť see an option in the envelopes drop down menu, see image, or maybe I'm just blind.
I got a new HP laptop (running Windows 11) and installed the latest version of Audition. I opened an old project and it plays back just fine BUT when I plug in my headphones it continues to play through the computer speakers. I tried this with other audio programs and when I plug in my headphones the audio switches to headphones, just not with Audition.Has anyone experienced anything like this before? I haven't.
As ths subject, does any ways complete this requirement?
I'm using a PC running Windows 10 Pro (will be updating to 11 at some point soon). Using Audition version 25.3.0.71 (a fresh update). When I load up a session file, or open a new session file, playback (either via spacebar or mouseclick on "play" button) will not play. It responds my un-highlighting the tracks - indicating that the input has been received - but I cannot figure out why the multitrack is not playing back.
All versions of Audition, Except for wav files, all other 24 bit audio files are incorrectly displayed as 32 bit. Please see screenshot. I use a 24 bit flac file for demonstration. Has anyone reported this issue? Hope it can be fixed, thanks.
I'm experimenting with Audition for the first time. How do I import an AAF file?
Hello! I am still learning how to use Adobe Audition so forgive me if this seems like a ridiculous question. I am using Audition 24.2. I have one multitrack session where I am recording VO for an animated short film I am working on. In one of the tracks, I have recorded all of the VO for one character. Each of the lines is separated from all of the others in the track. I am now trying to export each individual line as its own .wav file. Is there a way to do this? I tried "edit -> Convert to unique copy", I've tried "Right click -> Export audio of selected range markers" and lastly I've tried scouring the internet for answers or shortcuts on how to do this and there is not a straight forward answer except for exporting this as one big audio file and cutting it into individual clips in adobe premiere/after effects which I don't want to do at this point because I am kind of on a time crunch. Please tell me there is an easier way to do this
...suddenly popping after system update last night. I have checked settings, everything appears normal, but showing 'not working' for no apparent reason. Everything has been re-set, re-booted, etc, so now what for a "non techy" gal!!!??? Any very specific guidance will be greatly appreciated!! Alas, no phone support for Audition...REALLY?? Wow! Thanks guys/gals!! 05/24/18Kelli
I just upgraded to Audition 25 but there are only 2 languages available for the text to speech function - English US & English UK. No gender or voice styles except one. I know this is a very popular issue, so why is it so difficult to get a voice pack added / plugged in? Ive looked all over online and adding the voice pack via MS dosent work.I only really upgraded so I could use the TTS feature, but it seems I've wasted my time and money. Does anybody have a solution? Im only interested in english UK genders and voices. Thanks
Hello,I just began using a new Surface Pro 11 with an ARM Snapdragon processor, and see that several Adobe apps are not yet compatible. I downloaded the Beta version of InDesign, but I do not see any information about Audition. Will Audition be compatible sometime soon?I use Audition frequently and cannot access it on my new Surface Pro 11. This is very frustrating.
Hi everybody. I've been a mobile DJ since 1984, radio DJ and producer since 1987 and I'm currently volunteering at a local radio station in western Massachusetts. I've been doing voiceovers for the station but just can't seem to get that perfect set of effects with Audition 3 to really get the "WOW" effect for everything I produce. I tried the drop below 250hz thing, but I have a deep bass voice so that kinda defeats the purpose. Anyone have any ideas on which effects I should use? I attached a Legal ID that I will be adding a music bed behind. Thanks!
I don't know how to put it better, but in essence I'm automating an effect (a frequency shifter) in a multitrack project. It starts neutral and slides down in the middle of a clip. Simple as that. When I hit play, I can hear it correctly, but if I play it again, Audition doesn't recognize the automation is back in neutral position, so it plays from lower than neutral and slowly "adjusts" itself when the automation slides down. Even if I add a bunch of keyframes before the sound plays to try to jolt it into place. It ONLY works when I have the effect open for editing, so I can see the parameter changing with the automation. As soon as I close it, it goes back to being "lazy". Oh and it also affects the result when exporting. Anything in settings I can change even if it consumes more resources? This is pretty annoying.

hello does anyone knows the best automatically way of separating 2 voices in conversation so that i can get a final track in which i only hear one of the two voices thnak you very much
Was ist da los? Habe den Kanal vom Behringer gewechselt: Gleiches Ergebnis.. Danke, o.
I have an error I would like to remove and I'm looking for ideas. If you watch the video, I have a audio glitch in my track. It is regular at even intervals. I can 'heal' the crackle, but labour intensive. Any ideas on how to automate this? The heal isn't perfect, but it is good enough.
I am used to being able to click at a position in my wav then click my space bar to hear audio from that point. For some reason in this new Audition when I click in the wav it does move the payhead....I have to manually go up and grab it and drag(scrub) to where I want. Driving me crazy and making quick wor a labor now. It works properly in the waveform (Single) editor...click and the playhead is there but I can't make it happen in multi-track. I have to believe I am just missing a setting...please help & thank you~Andy
My simple audio file of 1 line of sound to edit has doubled and has FOUR empty lines beneath. How can I shrink my file back to a more manageable size to edit?? Thanks!
Please don't send me a million responses about the ridiculously unhelpful article "Markers in Audition" which does not ACTUALLY help me understand the different marker types. What I am looking for specifically is the abbreviations found within each type. For example, if I select Cart Timer marker type it gives me choices of various 3 letter choices in a drop down from the name "Marker 1" I need to know what these mean. I have searched rather diligently and found no useful general information about what these things are.Is there a real manual with actual explanations?
Am I missing something? I am new to audtion so I fully accept that possibitity. I am having two issues with Audition's Generate Speech Function:1. I am using largish text files, so each time I open the Generate window, it has to told the previous, completed text file into the editor, even though I am going to delete and add a new one. This is a laborious waste of time. Is there a way to a new Generator window with each open?2. I frequently find that the AI does not translate a word or sound as expected, so I must edit it. If I open the Generate window it is going to reload the entire set text sequence, wasting valuable time, and dropping most of the effects I have applied to the file. Is there a way to edit the text without this happening? I feel like I must be missing something obvious here. I am guessing the expectation is to not use large files but dozens of small files, but that just does not seem efficient. Though, granted, it anything would have to be more efficient to than
I’d like to suggest a powerful time-saving feature for Adobe Audition: the ability to multi-select non-contiguous regions of audio in the Waveform Editor, Spectral View, and Multitrack Editor.Currently, we can only select and apply edits or effects to one region at a time. This becomes extremely repetitive and inefficient when working with long sessions, like a 1-hour podcast or vocal track where you need to remove breaths, apply silence, or process certain words repeatedly. The proposed Multi-Selection feature would allow us to:Select multiple regions of the waveform, even from different places in the same clip or across tracksZoom, scroll, or navigate without interrupting the selection processApply edits (cut, delete, silence) or batch effects to all selected regions at onceWork seamlessly in both Waveform and Spectral views, as well as in the Multitrack EditorThis would save hours of manual repetitive work for editors, podcasters, voice-over artists, and sound designers. It’s a small
Hi All,I have edited a podcast but when I went to continue editing it looks like all the audio has been silenced apart from the last 5 seconds - can anyone help? 🙂 When I change the decibels, the green audio at the top disappears and it does this: What did I do wrong!??! 😞
